With their captive starting to spill the beans, Jorzu tries to squeeze a little more info out with a bluff. "If you don't answer his questions satisfactorily I'll be forced to have Hugo here squeeze the gunk out of you. You don't want that do you?" His usual strangeness replaced with a cool, calm demeanour. As if to help with the ruse, Hugo shifts his massive body into an ever so slightly tighter coil.
Fergus knows what is an "obelisk" is - sort of - but he has no knowledge or memory of seeing any - dark-stoned or otherwise.
The goblin squeals in panic as Hugo tightens his coils. "Satisfactorily!" it shrieks. "I'm satisfactorily!"
Quinn digs through some of the tents that Karst has been knocking over. It's all scraps and junk. They have nothing of quality nor interest amongst their belongings. It's a makeshift camp lacking even basic supplies – they did not come well-prepared to camp. They have coarse bags full of worms to eat, but little else.
With Bryony’s help, Fergus continues to coax answers out of the goblin. “I just asked two questions and you have not answered either one yet,” he says, “Ignore Hugo for the moment and focus on answering our questions.”

”Ah, yes, Ruxithid the Chosen,” says Fergus, “Perhaps the chosen one taught you the powerful magics you wield. And maybe he has designs for the stones beyond our ken—does he also need prisoners for his work? Can you tell us anything about the people who have been taken from our town?”

Jorzu needs to physically stop himself from giggling at the goblins response to his statement. He does notice that Fergus' line of questioning is going well so he refrains from adding anything and instead concentrates on having Hugo not squish the goblin into goo.
"I don't know nothing about that! Not my job! Offerings for the gods, prob'ly? Lemme go, now! I'm sorry I punched that lady! I didn't do nothing else! I'm sorry about the rocks, too!" squeals the goblin.
After that question has been answered, he looks at the others and asks, “Should we request an audience with Ruxithid the Chosen? We will hopefully find answers about our missing people there.”
If the answer is in the affirmative from his friends, he turns back to goblin and asks, “How about it? You want to be the escort who takes us to see the Chosen? You might get promoted to ambassador if you play your cards right.”

"Youre doing well. Ask him about the Duergar. Mmh hmm, the deep dwarves"
”Maybe we could give you a promotion of sorts right now,” offers Fergus, calling for the Duergar axe. “Carrying this will show your authority with your Deep Dwarf guests, would it not, Ambassador of the Chosen?”

"That's a Sawplee axe," corrects the goblin. "Not dwarven. The others have the rocks. We don't have any rocks. We were resting, healing, from that lady. But I can't bring you to Ruxithid, no. He'll be mad."
Fergus responds, “Sawplee? Who are they? And these ‘others’ you speak of, that have the rocks—did they take the townsfolk too?”
Turning to the others, he sighs and says, “I so hoped this goblin would rise to the occasion and become our ambassador, but it seems like he does not have the strength of character to do so. I’m afraid we have little choice but to take him back to town and submit him to their justice system. I am concerned that the populace are looking for someone to blame, and he will be an easy target. What do you think we should do?”

Boona stood up and stretched, her voice raised in annoyance, " This NOT finding Bryony family!! Either squash goblin or let go. No one have magic to find?"
Bryony blanches at the mentioning of 'offerings to gods.' Fergus and Jorzu continued to interrogate the goblin, but he didn't seem to have any useful information about her family. The halfling slumps to the ground looking defeated. For a moment, she is curious when Jorzu switches to talking in halfling, but at the moment she didn't particularly care about any deep dwarves. She'd never even met any, as far as she knew.
Boona wants to help find her family though, and that's enough to make Bryony stand up again. She gives her giant friend a smile. "Thank you, Boona. Let's just let the goblin go. I think we've scared him away from causing any more trouble."
Having gotten what information he could out of the goblin, Fergus replies to Bryony, “I doubt Halia will approve, but if you are in a mood to be merciful, milady, I will not gainsay you.”
Stepping away from the interrogation, Fergus shrugs his shoulders and goes over to speak with Jorzu.
Out of earshot of the goblin, he whispers to Jorzu, “Perhaps your invisible friend can track our goblin from above and undetected—then we can follow to its lair.”

Jorzu sighs with relief that he didn't need to squish the goblin into snake food as it seemed the group were happy to let it go.
When Fergus proposes a covert plan, Jorzu is quick to catch on. "Yes, yes. What a plan! That may well work you know. Good plan, yes" He concentrates on his fairy servant, Laiti, who has been following along quietly. He asks her to follow the sawplee goblin as it presumably returns to its den. He insists she not be seen and not try and interfere with any of the goblins actions. Once it's lair is located she is to make note of its location and then return to him. He warns her that if she hadn't returned in halfday he will summon her back magically.
