"I...I guess so" exclaims Jorzu as he looks at the last of the marbled dust float from his fingertips. "I had no idea my little beads could do that." His attention snaps away from his fingers to his neck-eye when Quinn chuckles as he walks away. "You don't think my eye did that do you?" Laiti is quick to interject; "No you dumbo. Somehow you didn't stuff it up and you managed to speak with the dead. Oooooo" she pulls a faux scared face as she teases her master. Quietly to herself she mutters "Maybe They are right about him. Nah, surely not."
Jorzu, unaware of Laiti's musings, brushes off her dumbo comment and follows Quinn out the door.
”Wow!” says Fergus, in awe for a moment. After consideration, he says, “Sounds like we will need the proper cleaning supplies and religious paraphernalia to cleanse the temple and rededicate it to Dumathoin.”
”Does anyone know how to do that? And maybe how we should inter Marthungrim here in the way of Dwarven tradition?” he asks.

There's a crash of broken china in the east room. Quinn peers in to find the two boys squabbling over a silver piece Pip found, used to level one corner of a crooked kitchen table. The kids seem to be energetically tossing the room for more coins, of which no more have yet been found. A teacup is lost to their ambitions.
Other than the south room, which was clearly dedicated to worship, the rest of the house is quite ordinary – the well-preserved home of a tidy dwarven paladin who lived alone and kept an unassuming but practical domestic home for himself. It's a warm and welcoming little house, other than the gaping hole in the ceiling and the collapsed stairwell.

”Does anyone know how to do that? And maybe how we should inter Marthungrim here in the way of Dwarven tradition?” he asks.
" With rock? Dwarf like rock.", Boona ventured helpfully.
"Cleaning supplies? I don't think that's the sorta cleansing that Marthungrim was speaking of. Ridding the temple of the tentacled ones should be good enough." Quinn pauses for a bit and ponders his knowledge of the Dumathoin. He looks back at Boona and shoots her a smile."I believe the Rockseekers worshipped Dumathoin. Lotsa miners did too, best I can recall.
Perhaps Boona is correct, burial here, in his home, beneath the earth in front of the statue would be best. It seems as though the paladin knew his days were numbered and most likely spent his final moments praying to his god. If we bury him here, the shrine can watch over his grave."
”Then it is settled. A cairn fitting a Dwarf, right here with the altar acting as headstone. Boona, will you have the lads gather some rocks for us?” asks Fergus as he begins the grim task of sorting the bones into the proper burial position at the foot of the altar.

It takes another hour before the cairn is built. The night is black, the hour late. The boys reluctantly shimmy back up the rope, their pockets bulging with dwarven silverware. They begin to toss down stones of all sizes to Boona. Much of it is old, weathered masonry, creased with roots and vines, but there are plenty of natural stones as well. Fortunately, the remains of Marthungrim have been reduced greatly in volume since he breathed his last breath many decades ago. The resulting cairn is modest, but it completely covers his meager remains.
The homeowner now interred next to his shrine to Dumathoin, the party dusts themselves off and thinks about next steps. It is late in the evening, and their adrenalin depleted, the boys look exhausted.
”We should get the boys home, and maybe look to getting some rest ourselves,” suggests Fergus, “though that eerie greenish glow might warrant a glance if we can do it quickly.”
(A strange, greenish glow emanates from the northwest, from somewhere near Edermath Orchard.)

Jorzu helps eith the placing of the stones in constructing the cairn. When done he searches his bag of beads for several seconds before retrieving an iridescent green sphere of glass. He places it directly above the dwarves heart. He whispers a gnomish prayer of safe passage before stepping back.
"Indeed. The light deserves attention. Sooner than later I would think but the boys too need returning to town. Perhaps we could split and meet up again at the source of the glow?" Jorzu suggests a plan of action. He waits for Quinn at the bottom of the rope as the rest of the group climbs.
”Sounds good—perhaps Boona is best suited to get the boys home, with someone else accompanying,” suggests Fergus, “The rest of us could head towards the light and try to investigate from a distance until we are all back together.”

Bryony's eyes go wide as she watches Jorzu commune with the dead dwarven paladin. "That was...that was both creepy and awesome!" she exclaims once the corpse has gone silent once more.
The halfling turns her attention to Pip and Carp who've been tossing the poor dwarf's home for valuables. She gives Carp a very disapproving look but figures it would be a bit hypocritical to actually reprimand him. They've taken lots of stuff off dead bodies ever since this crazy adventure began. And the dwarven paladin wouldn't be needing any of his stuff anymore.
"Yes, let's get the boys home," Bryony says, climbing the rope out of the underground house. "I'll go with Boona and make sure Pip gets back to his father. Carp, are you all right to stay with Pip and his dad for now until I can bring Aunt Qelline home?"

“We should get the boys home. Everyone up the rope, I’ll be the last one out. I wanna check this other room. I’ll be right behind.”
Quinn goes to explore the room to the north. He’ll quickly scan the tables, he’ll lift the mattress, and then explore the chest near the bed.
