Bryony is in bad shape herself, although she managed to deflect some of Honna's attacks. But she didn't expect one of the galeb duhr to roll up and slam her! The only thing that makes her feel better is that Honna isn't looking so good now either. At least she'll be able to take down the snake lady before losing consciousness herself, she thinks, stabbing Honna again since the woman made no move to surrender or give up the secret to saving Fergus. Boona falls down under the onslaught of the rock monsters and Bryony lets out an angry cry. Her only hope now is maybe the stupid rock monsters will stop smashing everything once their leader is dead. After stabbing Honna, the halfling starts past the galeb duhr and makes for the narrow passageway in the next room. She's not sure if she can quite make it, but she's going to try.
Action: Shortsword at Honna - 20 to hit for 9 piercing damage (Vexed, re-rolled a 1 with Piercer) and 13 sneak attack damage / Dagger (Nick) at Honna - 23 to hit for 5 piercing damage
BA: Cunning Action - Disengage
Movement: 25 feet into the next room and toward the narrow passageway, squeezing into it if she can get there but I think she's 5 feet short? Halfling nimbleness to move through the galeb duhr.
Reaction: Uncanny Dodge on Honna's attack that hit, halved 14 down to 7.
((@cbaer, I almost forgot that I got the Dagger of Venom. Do you think Bryony's had time to attune to that by now?))

Startled, Jorzu answers the newcomer; "Ohh. Umm. Hello. I am sure they have..." he looks south to see more galeb durh than he cared for but before he can speak they seem to light up. "Well, that's handy. Thank you. Introductions will have to wait I'm afraid." With that he eyes the furthest rock-man and lets loose 2 orbs of force in its direction. As his spell streaks down the stairwell he instructs Alâedixx to see if Jurgen needs help. "Sure thing boss. Umm. Which one is Jurgen?" Jorzu points and Alâedixx takes off.
((If Jurgen or anyone that Alâedixx will be able to see needs to make a save or ability check Alâedixx can potentially add 2 to the roll ))
Karst manages to shake off his stiffening limbs and give the retreating stone thing a painful hit.
Boona keels over, pummeled into unconsciousness by the throng of rockmen.
Bryony manages to sink two blades into Honna before vanishing under stone legs and disappearing into the bedroom. (Yes, she is attuned to her new dagger now!) She doesn't quite reach the crack, but at least moves out of sight.
Jorzu flies down the stairs from the north, firing black beams of crackling energy, but hitting nothing.
Jurgen manages to smack one hard as it retreats to protect Honna. It is in rough shape - one of the nine elemental beings is finally bloodied (if only it had blood...) as flame spreads temporarily to the one to the south.
The dark elven stranger carefully descends the stairs behind Jorzu. He sends healing flowing to the two surfacers inside the room. Healing Light split for Bryony: 3 Healing Light split for Boona: 3 Boona is awake now, but prone. You can tell the stranger begins and holds another spell, but hesitates.
Honna collapses, spilling dark blood onto the stone floor, those last blades of Bryony taking her life.
The three galeb duhr suddenly pause, seeing their master fall. The faceless elementals begin to curl in on themselves, becoming more like the fallen boulders nearby. "What.... what have you done?" asks one.
Combat may be paused, unless you wish to continue it.
Bryony hears the fighting stop, and she returns cautiously to the room with the galeb duhr. If they don't attack her, she'll go out to the hallway where the strange drow man and his companion have appeared. The halfling felt healing magic take hold of her as she ran away, and she looks at the stranger with curiosity.
"Thank you," she says. "Who are you?"
To the galeb duhr, who have temporarily decided to stop fighting, she gives them a stern look. "Your mistress is gone. There is no need for you to follow her orders anymore," she explains.

The pale, winged human leers from open doorway at the top of the stairs, his mouth agape with a small smile. But the dark elf has descended the stairs.
The six faceless elementals curl up into boulders. Three stone figures remain, one rather badly damaged. They stare at Honna's dead figure on the floor. "Why did you do this?" one asks, slowly.
Bryony is exasperated with the boulders. It sounds like they are trying to make her feel guilty for what she did, but it was Honna who attacked them first. The halfling walks over to the statue form of Fergus.
"Your mistress did this to my friend," she says, as patiently as she can. "Why did she do that? We were only defending ourselves against her. I didn't want to kill her, but she wouldn't stop."
Bryony turns to look back at the drow and his strange companion. The winged human gives her the creeps, and that feeling makes her more suspicious of their sudden benefactor, never even mind the fact that he's a dark elf, and everything she knows about their kind makes her disinclined to trust him readily.
"Who are you?" she repeats to the drow. "Do you know how to help Fergus?"
Bryony looks at Jurgen and nods. "I'm hurt pretty bad," she admits, clutching her side.
Letting his Faerie Fire drop and stepping forward with open hands, he says to the Galeb Duhr, “Though I am but a recent arrival, it seems to me that, among other things, this enterprising group has freed you from servitude to the Medusa, so that you may choose your own path, much in the same way innocent beings might be freed from the sway of a murderous cult.”
Turning to Bryony, he responds, “I am called Nightblade, currently in the employ of the Henlifel brothers who seek to free their father from the malign influence of a cult that has taken up residence in these caves.”
Looking at the statue as the halfling speaks, Nightblade sighs and says, “I suppose this ‘Fergus’ refers to one of the statues here? I have heard legends that the blood of the creature causing petrification can be of use, but I don’t know in what way. Powerful healing magic can also be useful, but it is beyond my power. I can, however, offer a blessing of healing from Eliastreae to those here wounded.”
The drow elf does not mention the creature in the room beyond and seems to be waiting on permission to cast any spells, aware of his race’s reputation among the surface races.

The three galeb duhr stand awkwardly around Honna's body. "This is beyond our understanding..." begins one slowly and thickly. "She was only making art. Do you not like art?"
The strange winged man in the doorway at the top of the stairs has vanished.
As soon as the drow mentions blood, Bryony rushes over to Honna's body and starts trying to collect whatever she can from the oozing wounds she had inflicted with her blades. Most of the rest of what Nightblade said she heard without actually registering. Something about a cult. Of course there would be a mad cult down here. Similarly, the halfling ignores the galeb duhr who appear to be having some sort of existential crisis over the loss of their mistress.
"Thank you for helping," Bryony says eventually, after she's able to gather what blood she can. "Boona is hurt. Can you help her?"
After a few moments of just staring at this newcomer, the halfling says, "I've read stories about drow, you know. I used to be a big reader, before I started doing all this adventuring. It was what got me interested in adventuring in the first place. And lots of stories had drow in them. They were usually the bad guys though. But there was one drow who was a hero. Drizzt Do'Urden. Have you ever heard of him?"
Bryony looks around the strange winged human from before. "Who was that with you? I've never seen anyone like that before."
If she was able to collect enough blood, the halfling will take it over to the statue of Fergus and smear some of it on his face. "Please work," she murmurs. She whispers a prayer to Yondalla, the goddess of halflings, under her breath. While never particularly devout, Bryony figures reaching out to the gods can't hurt.

I was a slave as well, forced to fight in the pits for entertainment, until I escaped and found favor with the Dark Maiden. You are right to be wary around Drow, though—many of us are self-interested at best,” speaks Nightblade plainly.
“The winged creature who followed me to the battle is likely a poor soul corrupted by the cult. Bryony smears black, medusan blood upon the stone figure of Fergus. The thick, viscous liquid oozes down his features. It has no apparent effect on the petrified form of your halfling companion. He looks defaced, suggestive of defiled statuary of a conquered chapel, perhaps.
But the galeb duhr watch without comment or expression. They seem to be becoming less animate, and more boulder-like with each passing moment.
Relieved, Jorzu watches as the rock-men disengage and slowly return to boulder form. He rushes past everyone gathered around the door, straight to Fergus & Laiti's inert forms. With one hand on both his friends and his familiars head he whispers an inaudible prayer in Gnomish. After a moment he faces Bryony with tears in his eyes.
