Bryony looks around the room, her eyes landing on the bed rolls. "At least we don't have to sleep on the bare floor," she says. "Do you think we'll be safe here though?"
She eyes the passageway that goes off toward the east. There's no door there that they could barricade unfortunately.
"We can barricade the doors."Quinn looks about the room for crates, barrels or debris that can serve the purpose. "With that door blocked, all we gotta do is watch that hallway."
Quinn takes one more look at the rings he pulled off the skeleton and secures them in his pouch. He looks at the wand as well. He investigates closely to see if he spots any inscriptions or symbols before offering it up to anyone interested.
"I found these rings down in the pool on some dead skeleton. We can sell these back in town to resupply or upgrade our gear. Found this wand too. Anyone of you wanna take it?"
Quinn looks at Jurgen or Ruven, but he's willing to offer it up to anyone who's interested.

The party retreats to the temple to the north (W19).
Quinn finds plenty of debris to barricade the southern doors behind them. To the east remains the open hallway containing a locked door, the remains of "The Spider", and a second dead bugbear.
Neither the rings nor the wand bear any inscriptions or symbols.. The rings look like they may be of considerable value, but do not appear obviously arcane. The, wand, however, looks like it could bear magic.
The bedrolls look recently used. While not particularly comfortable, they are functional.

A few hours into the first watch, Quinn spots something while the others rest – the brown glimmer of something wet, a huge ooze, slowly creeping along the ceiling of the eastern hallway. It looks not dissimilar to the one you slayed in the maze. It has passed the spider's body and is over the second set of stairs. It is moving slowly, but steadily, toward you. It'll be here within a minute or so.
DM: if one were to blow up a powder horn near the ooze, I’m assuming the party is not in blast radius? If that’s the case, that’s what I’ll do. If anyone is in danger, then Quinn will NOT do the following action.

Quinn sits on the floor leaning up against his pack, eyes focused on the hallway. He leans forward and squints. He thinks he sees something slurping along the ceiling, but he’s not quite sure. He gets up and takes a step or two forward and he confirm his suspicions. He thinks to himself “Another one of those dammed oozes.”
He thinks to wake the crew, but he knows they need their rest. Boona almost died. Twice. Ruven’s in bad shape. Heck, we’re all in bad shape.
Quinn has a plan. He rifles through his pack, pulls out the powder horn be bought back in town. He tears a piece of his clothing, stuffs it down the neck of the powder horn and prepares his improvised explosive. He walks over to the eastern hallway, puts his back against the wall to provide cover for himself. He peeks around the corner and gauges the distance. He lights the cloth with his flint and steel. He waits a split and tosss the flaming powder horn right when the ooze gets near the locked doorway. Quinn ducks behind the wall and covers his ears.

"WHAT THE--?" Bryony screams as she jumps awake by the sound of the explosion. "Nine Hells, what WAS that?"
The halfling scrambles to her feet grabbing her weapons at the same time. Her gaze is immediately drawn to the source of the explosion. There's a huge blob slurping toward them through the smoke and fire, only slightly singed.
"We were sleeping!" Bryony yells at the blob, not knowing if it can understand her or not.
Then she takes out her bow and shoots an arrow at it.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Boona is deeply annoyed at being woken but has had a few close calls recently and doesn't want to get tnear the thing, she picks up a rock and lobs it at the blob.

The deafening sound echoes and reverberates through the mine system.
Somehow the advancing blob manages to shield itself from the brunt of the explosion, receiving only minor burns.
It continues to advance into the temple (about 40 feet away, advancing at 20 feet per round.)
