Quinn suggests backtracking and heading west in search of the Crypt of the Talhund. (Does he mean entering the fissure leading west outside the enormous stone double doors at the Temple Entrance, which Laiti vanished down? Or the closed door across the Deepening Hall from the Sparring Chamber?)
Jurgen examines the sturdy door in front of them and its three locks. He can't determine if there's any magic afoot here, but with his background and careful study now, he does get a pretty good sense of the lock mechanisms: One of the locks is already unlocked. Each of the other two can be opened with a successful DC18 Dexterity check using thieves’ tools, although if the dust isn’t cleared from the locks somehow, they will do so at a definite disadvantage. ...And you only get to roll for each lock once! (...using forum dice roller or in Campaign Game Log, of course.)
Jurgen will “ahah. So that’s how it works”. he cracks his knuckles takes out his best black picking tools. He blows the dust away. Takes a deep breath and starts to unlock the door.
”Let me help,” offers Fergus, pulling out his flute. He holds down various keys as he plays, aiming the end of the flute obliquely at the keyholes. He searches for the right angle and correct pitch to vibrate and disperse the sand…

Fergus and Boona successfully clean up the locks, but Jurgen finds the locks to be beyond his means. You understand why this door has been battered - frustration. Somebody did manage to get one lock opened, but the other two remain solid, well-designed Dwarven locks.
"Wait one second, Boona," Bryony says. "Let me take a crack at the locks and then if that doesn't work, we can do it your way."
Bryony breaks out her thieves' tools and gets to work trying to pick the elaborate Dwarven locks. It takes the halfling longer than usual, and sweat starts to bead on her brow. After several minutes, however, the locks finally open with a click, and the halfling jumps up and down with excitement. "I got 'em!"

Jorzu stands well out of the way whilst the more nimble fingered members of the group attempt to open the locks. He suddenly realises its been quite some time since he'd heard from Laiti.
He waves his arms in an involuted manner once, pauses a moment and then a second time. She appears within 10ft of him, complaining as usual; "You know, one of these days I hope you get interrupted and stuffed into a dimension that is sooo boring just to be yanked back out all at the whim of an idiot". Unphased by her scathing words Jorzu greets her warmly; "Nice to see you Laiti. Im sorry, I was merely concerned you hadn't returned yet".
About to offer more encouragement to Bryony as she begins her work, Fergus is instead mesmerized by her skill--and frankly, a bit infatuated. Shaking his head to clear it of these unwanted thoughts, he focuses on the mission...Such distractions now could be the difference between success and failure.
Instead, he stands well back and says, "Excellent work. Let's find out what is beyond."

The door opens. Where decades of looters have failed, Bryony has somehow succeeded. This room is untouched. Glittering heaps of coins, statuettes, and weapons throughout this room are covered in a thin layer of dust. (The hoard here specifically consists of 510 pp, 1,250 gp, twelve small gems of various kinds, a platinum holy symbol, three golden statuettes of dwarf warriors, a potion, a pair of crystal-lensed spectacles, and a dozen steel knives.)
"Just as well," reports Laiti to Jorzu. "I must have gone a mile down that tunnel. Down, down, down. It smells pretty bad. Footprints. It has seen some weird foot traffic."
Fergus judges the potion and the spectacles to be of arcane curiosity. The holy symbol appears to be associated with Dumathoin, for whom this temple was built.
”The holy symbol unsurprisingly belongs to Dumathoin, the patron deity of this temple. The potion and spectacles appear magic—Jorzu, would magic glasses help your gemcrafting?” says Fergus.

Bryony's eyes go wide at the sight of all the coins and gems. "I've never seen so much gold in my life! These dwarves really knew how to pack away the treasure, didn't they?" she exclaims.
The halfling runs her hands through the piles of coins, seemingly mesmerized. "Are we going to take it? Does this mean we're rich?"

Fergus:
”I suggest we take it all with us, then look for the opportunity to properly sanctify the Dwarven temple with whatever implements are necessary. I would expect the holy symbol, the statuettes, and perhaps the knives could be used in such an endeavor,” responds Fergus.
He moves over to the southwest corner of the room and carefully checks the west wall with his enhanced vision. “The other room which the stone creatures were guarding should be right behind this well, if I reckon correctly,” he says, checking for hidden latches or panels that might indicated a secret or concealed door.

”Looks like many things have failed getting past these locks. I don’t think we’ll get through these doors without keys.
Perhaps we backtrack and keep heading westward down that narrow passage. I believe that’s the path to get into the crypt.”
If no one objects, Quinn will head in that direction.
