Fergus approaches the altar to kneel. He notes the sloppy tool marks where looters have forcefully pried gems out of it. He begins to play a tune, and although he's not particularly adept at vintage Dwarven styles, he does a respectable job of it. The images of kneeling dwarven miners are in 2D relief upon the walls. The (3D) statues in the corners appear human.
"Indeed I will," replies Honna. She kneels beside Fergus. She examines him carefully. "You have exquisite ears for a halfling. My own are rather ordinary. I found a single, tiny jewel from this fascinating altar, left behind by these boorish, ignorant looters. I made it into an earring. But we are here to pay our respects to the Dwarven spirits who still dwell in this temple. Lost souls, I fear."
Bryony watches Fergus enter the room, and she bites her lip. After only a moment's hesitation, she joins him at the altar, giving the snake-haired lady a sideways glance.
"He's not alone," she says. "I'm here too. We told you why we're here. What are you doing here? Just paying your respects? No offense but you're not exactly a dwarf."
At the woman's odd comment about Fergus' ears, Bryony frowns and eyes her with even more suspicion. She feels like there is something off about this lady, but she's not sure what.

"Goodness! A female!" she says with delight at Bryony's arrival. "Please. Thank you for joining us in paying respects to the spirits here. I'm no dwarf, but I have a deep appreciation of Dwarven art. The carvings in this temple are deeply fascinating, at least the ones not ruined by the plundering oafs. Looters of art are the lowest form of life. I am here to study." She continues to kneel with Fergus, who continues to play his harp.
"Kneel with us, and tell me more about these cultists, and this stone," she asks Bryony. "Whom did they abduct? I know of Falfark and his troupe of erratic cretins who befoul the chambers west of the hall. And I understand a new party of drow has recently arrived, seeking them. Tell me more about your own quarry."
”We seem to be making a habit of honoring the spirits of dead dwarves, from cursed miners to long-dead paladins” answers Fergus, “As one such location was inhabited by Ruxathid, a goblin with a shard of stone in his head. He claimed to be working for some beings he called the Overlords, who wish to remake the world in their own way—doubtless destroying us in the process. before we defeated him, Ruxathid spoke of someone called Qunbraxel using his servants to transport the offerings—that’s what they call our kidnapped friends and family—and Ortharx, who is supposed to be here at Talhundereth.”
”Do you think the gem you took is important to the Dwarven temple here? If so, you should return it,” suggests Fergus, standing up as his honoring of the Dwarven dead is complete. “We should try and repair the damage as best as is possible before we continue on the trail of our kidnapped friends,” he suggests.

Honna laughs. "I only know that last name you mention, assuming you mean old Ontharyx. He's one of those mutate freaks, like Falfark. He's the leader of those filthy squatters to the west. I fear they're all insane. As to the gem, well you can see what it's done to my ear. There's no removing it now, I fear."
She is interrupted by something catching her attention in the bedroom to the south. Maybe it was Jorzu's breathing, or the scrape of his toe, but Honna clearly picks up on something. [Passive perception >=13.] "More friends? Another halfling?"
Like a deer caught in the torchlight Jorzu freezes, even holding his breath. He mentally summons Laiti to him in a desperate attempt to fool Honna. "Head out there towards Fergus will you? Oh and drop the invisibility" he thinks to her. "I won't let anyone hurt you. I promise."
Boona and Karst play with a fallen rock, while Hero stand perfectly still nearby, a metal sculpture. Quinn looks anxiously and helplessly through the crack.
Jorzu tries to keep perfectly silent as Laiti glides invisibly ahead. She appear suddenly in the small chapel. "I'm here," she mumbles, uncomfortably.
Honna, still kneeling, makes a subtle hand gesture at her assistant, and turns to looks up at Fergus, with Bryony, Laiti and the invisible Jorzu, behind him. "I really wish you were all properly kneeling," she sighs.
