Everyone except Ozyre, probably distracted by his light wound, notices the ever so subtle noise of dragging feet and grunts of anguish coming from the corridor up ahead. You don’t yet see whatever is causing this noise, but you have an uneasy feeling that you’ll soon find out if your remain in this chamber.
"Something's coming."The massive blonde bearded warrior says grimly, gathering what strength he has left, moving to protect the others from the approaching theat.
The kenku clucks softly as he looks down on the corpse. When he opens his mouth, it is the voice of Brugg.
"... Bartolby... He’s gone dark...".
He looks up at the same time Thurodim gives his warning, adjusting his footwork and raising his longsword in the direction of the coming sound.

Ozyre's epitaph for the ambitious amateur mage is cut short Thurodim's call of approaching danger. "Or, and it's just a thought, maybe we could honor the departed by kicking some demons and/or devils back to their respective fiery pits?" He leans down to pick up the axe that fell on the floor in the previous combat, gives it a toss and a twirl, and prepares himself for another fight, taking his position next to Thurodim.

Aganazzar tries his best to shove at Ember's cheek and turn her head away, but when she resists he hops atop her head and covers her eyes with his tail. She brushes it away and gazes down at Bartolby with a strangely vacant expression, her eyes drawn to his red hair.
As Aggie and the others warn of coming danger, Ember snaps to and rushes to pick up the small knife then quickly unrolls the pieces of parchment to inspect them, hoping there might be answers or help written on the pages.
Ember picks up the pieces of parchment. There are three in total. Unrolling them and quickly glancing at their content, Ember easily recognizes them as incantation for spells. The very word are charged with arcane energy. You figure that Bartolby brought them in case he needed them, to compensate for his limited magical ability.
Ember glances at Bart, a quiet “thank you” uttered beneath her breath before she whispers of the scrolls to the others. She then gives the jar of flour to her mage hand and directs it towards the opening to the other corridor (staying within 30ft of her, she’ll move closer if needed). The moment the sounds seems close enough, she’ll have it dump the flour over the area.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Be ready, we will soon have another battle on our hands."The massive blonde bearded warrior says quietly to the others, positioning himself at the end of the tunnel to protect the smaller heroes from the slowly approaching threat.
When she picks up the jar of flour, Ember notices that it is significantly lighter than before. Looking inside, it seems the jar barely has any flour left. It might not be enough to reveal multiple creatures like it did previously.
As you all prepare to stand your ground and fight, the sound of dragging feet and moans continues. The person holding the torch could see in the dim light, coming around a corner on the left side, three more shadowy fiends approaching.
(Would you like to roll initiative again or keep the same as before? The monsters would get a new roll since it’s not the same batch)
Abandoning the jar of flour plan, Ember squeezes her way through to the frontline, determined this time to protect her friends too. Being quite fed up with these fiendish nasties, she widens her stance like a sumo wrestler, one foot and then the other. She balls her hands near her hip, gathering heat from the room.
"Aggie, this is your spell. Help me out." The little Aganazzar jumps atop her head, his tail flicking like a wild flame caught in the breeze (and for a moment, does appear to be alight). With his silent guidance, Ember kamehamehas thrusts her connected hands out at the grouped together baddies and a line of flames bursts towards them.
((Round 1 Movement: 10ft to get in front of Ozyre Action: Casts Aganazzar's Scorcher in a line, trying to hit all three fiends. DC 13 DEX save or 13/6 fire damage Movement: 10ft to return to her starting point.))
The fiends are taken by surprise by Ember spell, and have little time to react. They scream in pain as they take the full brunt of the damage, but still stand.
Thurodim holds his ground, ready to attack the approaching monsters.
The three fiends shamble forward. As they step into the bright light area, they fade away from view. In a fashion that you are starting to become familiar with, you hear a cacophonous choir of otherworldly screech.
(Roll a wisdom save with disadvantage (straight rolla for Ember because of her makeshift earplug and Ozyre becuase Gnome))
