Name: Zania Stonebreaker Race: Goliath Class: Barbarian 2/Rogue (Scout) 5 Background: City Watch/Investigator Backstory: Zania hails from a relatively primitive world, one that has long been troubled by dark mages and especially hags. Her people have long distrusted the arcane, and Zania has more reason than anyone to dislike spellcasters.
When she was very young, Zania was abducted by a hag who planned to turn her into another one of those dreadful creatures... or maybe it was just going to eat her. It really wasn't clear which. But whatever the monster's exact intentions, it was quite clear that something awful would have happened if the village Witchfinders hadn't arrived in time to save the young girl from the clutches of the hag. Since then, Zania has trained with the Witchfinders, determined to repay her rescuers and to help rid her world of the scourge of the hags and similar dark mages.
She shuns all forms of magic, instead training her body and her will to their peak in order to combat the otherworldly powers of her enemies. And though she is still fairly young, she has already gained a strong reputation for her accomplishments and her zeal. So much so that, when representatives of the Republic requested the aid of her world's best warrior to deal with Sid's Rebellion, she was selected for the job. Though she wasn't especially thrilled to go off world and work with (shudder) mages, she realized that it was likely for the best. After all, her little planet wasn't the only one troubled by black magic, and she was ready to take up the challenge of stamping out the dark arts, wherever they might appear...
Personality/build notes:
Zania Stonebreaker, also known as Witchfinder Zania or Inquisitor Zania, distrusts magic and its users a great deal, but she is willing to tolerate those who do not use their powers to cause harm, even if she gives them a wary eye. She has a better relationship with divine casters such as Clerics and Paladins as her village has healers that she is familiar with. Towards others she tends to be a little bit standoffish, but not really unfriendly, and she will not hesitate to put her life on the line to protect the weak and innocent.
Her build revolves heavily around damage mitigation from her Barb levels, Stone's Endurance, and Uncanny Dodge, while also being difficult to shut down with control spells thanks to her proficiency in Wis saves granted by the Resilient feat (as much as I wanted to take Mage Slayer for thematic reasons, I felt that boosting her Wis save would ultimately be more useful when dealing with various casters... I'll probably grab Mage Slayer the next time she gets an ASI). And thanks to her Rogue subclass, she's also gained Survival as a bonus expertise to make her better at tracking and rooting out her targets.
Name:Lord Daryos Voidwatcher Race: Human (Variant) Class: Hexblade/Divine Soul Background: Noble Backstory: Born into the prominent core world noble House of Voidwatcher in Rion, Daryos had a strict but sheltered upbringing within the finest educational institutions the republic could offer. The House of Voidwatcher were staunch supporters of the republic and it's members were often sent to serve with it's peace-keeping forces throughout the Spiral. With the recent turmoil and treachery of Duke Lucendus, tragedy struck House Voidwatcher as it's head, General Arkovyos Voidwatcher was assassinated while defending the world of Trimeme. After the funeral, the elders of his house presented young Daryos with his late father's Voidblade to wield in the coming war. Armed with this family heirloom and a lust for vengeance, Daryos has volunteered to join a task force to take the battle to the enemy, travelling in secrecy against his family's wishes on a dangerous mission from which he might not return...

Quick question: do PCs get any bonus starting equipment/gold seeing how by level 7 they're presumably experienced adventurers?
