Starker:”If there were one or two fewer for even just a minute we might recover our composure.  Father Kragen, pray pray Banish, perhaps?”

Kragen, sees the spirit race towards Chad and Serethia. Then notices they appear in dire condition, moves to quickly (he seems super fast now) to close the gap to support.

Kragen calls down Tyr's divine powers from the outer planes directed at Sir Chadwick.

MA Channel Divinity: Preserve Life

A soft orange glow surrounds Chadwick. Chadwick recovers 40hp of Tyrs healing powers.

Kragen yells. "I'm coming to support Serethia, hold.out!"

“I refuse to die here, now, Dwarf!  Not after just gaining release from the Lich,” Serethia responds.

Kragen, to Starker’s point, perhaps we should concentrate our attacks on reducing their numbers be elimination of the weakest one first 

Trolkarl's beams fly through the sky, not connecting with the Guardian.  One does hit one of the floating crystal beyond the Guardian though.  It shatters.

Xymox to act.

Xymox casts HEALING WORD at 3rd level on Serethia. (Please roll accordingly) 

BA: Uses Bardic inspiration on her as well.

"Too slow dwarf!"

Xymox casts Healing Word at L2 (no L3 slots available) for 10 points of healing to Serethia.  She is appreciative of the attention and thanks him with a nod.  (No wink.  Sorry.)

Guardian1 presses the attack.  It strikes at Kellen, to hit = 20 for 19 slashing damage and against Starker, to hit = 20 for 16 slashing damage.  Fortunately, it hits a duplicate of Starker.  He is now Starkerx2.  It climbs in the air after striking.  Kellen is badly injured.

Trolkarl shakes his head , blinks a few times  then looks around the battlefield

There is some sort of magic at work with these crystals.
I had a sort of realistic ‘vision’ on destroying one. Very odd 
 

Yartol responds to Trolkarl's observation, "I had a vision, too, when one of those crystals flew in front of my arrow."

Starkerx2 to act.

Starker moves by Kragen and pulls a scroll from his quiver, casting Banishment, targeting Guardian3.  It makes a DC17 CHA save = 14, fails. (The die graphic tried to roll over to 14 but fell back to 9). The guardian disappears with a POP.

Starker says to Kragen, “I am curious to discuss with it where it was sent.  Perhaps after dispatching the others we can attempt that?”  Cyrus looks on expectantly, nodding.

Sariel swoops around in a tight arc to reengage with Guardian1.  It strikes with its mace, to hit = 21 inflicting 18 radiant damage, and to hit = 17, a miss.  It then casts Cure Wounds upon Kellen.  “Be strong, Paladin.  Your sword is needed,” Sariel exhorts.

Chadwick to act.

BA switches HM to guardian 2, then moves up next to it annoyed it's out of reach of his halberd. Out of frustration he chucks a couple of hand axes at it missing wide yet again (10,14).

Chadwick continues to throw axes into the air at the creatures, to no avail.

Serethia's head clears a bit following the healing from Xymox.  She again looks to him and mouths, T-H-A-N-K-Y-O-U, as she moves to put Chadwick between her and Guardian2.  She also noticed Starker's tactic in using Toll The Dead.  She follows his lead, casting that upon Guardian2.  The creature makes a DC16 WIS save = 14.  It fails and takes 13 necrotic damage.  A wicked grin spreads across her face after seeing the effect on the creature following the dolorous bell tolling.

Guardian2 flies off and attacks Xymox with is lashing mist tendril, to hit = 27 for 19 slashing damage and to hit = 20 for another 22 slashing damage.  It then flies on past him.  Xymox is left reeling from the blows.  Serethia cries out upon witnesses the powerful blows landed by the creature on the Drow, "Xymox!  We are coming!"

Kellen moves to the center of the fight and casts Bless upon Chadwick, Trolkarl and Yartol.  "May the Dawn Lord guide you in your time of Strife!," he yells over the din of the fight.

Yartol steps towards Kellen and casts Starry Wisp at the creature, to hit = 25 (nat 20) for 19 radiant damage and an additional 4 force damage.  He grins as you begin to notice the vortices of vapors comprising its 'body' seem to be unravelling at this point.

Kragen now to act.

Bellows "The Justice Bringer judges thee, evil creature" points The Judge at Guardian1, seeing its frayed condition.

An orange, flame like radiance descends upon the creature, engulfing it.

MA.   Sacred Flame. DC14 Dex save or take 1+5=6 radiant damage

Then completes a prayer to Tyr, palming The Scales of Justice. "May Tyr bolster thy strength!"

BA. Healing Word L1 targeting Xymox. 4+2+6=12  Reroll 1's for battle medic bennies

Kragen heals 3hp for blessed healer bennies

"We need to finish these creatures, i am about spent!"

Guardian1 DEX save = 17.   It successfully dodges Kragen's Sacred Flame spell.  Xymox does not attempt to dodge Kragen's magic and is healed 12 hit points.  Kragen recovers 3 hit points.

Sariel offers correction to Kragen, "Good Dwarf, these creatures are not evil.  More like elementals, made of the stuff and essence of this plane."

Trolkarl to act

Slightly concerned with taking flight after the strange vision and losing his senses for a moment.  Hearing Kragen's calls to finish off the creature, as he is nearly spent. Trolkarl moves to 2nd gear. 

Magic Action: cast Fly on self 
Move: 25' horizontal + 20' vertical to be adjacent to guaridan1

Action Surge: Attack action to swing Darkbane

• 9+3 for bless=12
• 11+1 for bless=12

Reaction ready = Hellish Rebuke for 4d10

Trolkarl takes to the air!  With two mighty swishes of Darkbane, he tries to attract the attention of the Guardian.

Xymox to act.

Xymox stumbles, then catches himself.

“Turns out dying is terribly inconvenient—

(straightening despite the pain)
“Ladies and gentlemen—
the bard yet lives.”

The bard casts HEALING WORD as 4th level.  Healing 26 HP, then moves towards Kragen and Chadwick.

Guardian1 strikes at Sariel with its deadly tendril, to hit = 31 (Nat 20) for 27 slashing damage.  The celestial barely notices.  It then attacks Trolkarl, to hit = 27 for 13 slashing damage. 

Trolkarl retaliates with Hellish Rebuke.  The Guardian makes a DC15 DEX save = 11.  It takes 18 fire damage as a result.

Guardian1 then flies off to the other side of the fight.

Starkerx2 to act.

Starker:”It’s guilty, inhospitable, conscience is easier to target than its wispy form!”

Again, he brandishes the mindflayer’s horrible skull and emits a rising screech whose waveform collapses into a terrible shocking toll of a dread bell.
