Starker, concentrating: “The banished will return in roughly the time it takes my heart to beat four score times from the moment of its disappeance, or when I stop concentrating, whichever eventuates first. It might be angry. It will return to the same location it was ejected from. I suggest those who can fly overfly that spot ready for battle and thise who can not fly prepare their most puissant ranged attacks. Now is not the time to scout, separate, or seek sleep’s sweet embrace!!!!”
Starker's spell expires. Nothing returns. Which is curious. Sariel explained these beings to be made of the Ether. This being their home plane, the Banishment should have had them return where they were shunted elsewhere.
Sadness is in Starker's eye as he realizes he will not be able to quiz the creature on its recent sojourn. Cyrus, jumps up to his left shoulder and wraps his monkey arms around Starker's neck.
Xymox to Serethia as he looks at Starker and Cyrus: "I would keep an eye on the little animal....did anyone tell you that it is called The Murder Monkey?"
Starker:”If I understand our celestial acquaintance, yet again we have a limited amount on time; like sands through the hourglass these are the minutes of our lives before we snap back to the realm of the mukbaks. As much as I would like a long rest, perhaps we should go and threaten and/or murder the owner of the castle and find a way to return to our plane.”
Eloquent and well reasoned, aside from the murder bit, Starker.
We are all depleted and I agree the best chance for survival is likely at that castle. Being so depleted, it may be best we stay close rather than going on scouting expeditions.
The Company stands, ragged but standing, about half-way from the edge of the dome to the center. Birds are flitting about. Some of the small animals are tentatively poking their heads about after the raucous.
Starker:”If it were done when ’tis done, then ’twere well It were done quickly. Let’s go. We’ll stick a pin in thde murder/don’t murder decision until we have accumulated more information.”
Gathers up his backpack, staff, and spider monkey and starts to walks towards the building at the center.
Kragen pulls his googles down from his eyes, stares at Starker and frowns, still wondering if he suffers from the ill effects of the undead. Pushes them back up and follows the mage.
You each dust yourselves off and resume walking towards the center. It is a short walk to the edge of the lake. Sariel chats with Trolkarl along the way, discussing differences in fighting while flying compared to standing on the ground. You arrive to the shore of the lake in about 10-15 minutes. The water seems clear. It is calm with small ripples from the breeze. You can see little fish swimming near the shore. There are mudbug burrows seen along the shoreline. Three streams gently flow into the lake.
The water is about four hundred yards wide to the island in the center. The tower there is seen now in better detail. It is made of intertwined black and silver stone, appearing to be fifty feet in diameter. There is a door on this side of the tower made of iron bound wood. It looks heavy and is built into a large frame. The second story has no windows on the side you face. There are windows on the third and four levels that are large and without shutters. They are 5 feet tall and 3 feet wide. These look to be set evenly spaced with four on each level. The uppermost level has smaller, square windows. These are shuttered with iron reinforced wooden shutters with twelve set evenly about the perimeter of that level.
The floating crystals seem to swirl through the air either towards or away from the tower here, never lateral to it. On occasion, they pass into or out of the open windows of the tower.
Sariel speaks when you arrive at the shore, "The time of the spell's conclusion draws near. We must find a way to another plane."
No sign of a dock….and I don’t think we could conjure a boat even with all of our resources. That water is likely to be deep. Not going to be easy for those of us in armor or good for the libraries in our packs.
We could call out:
Sorry about the intrusion and your dead guard air spirits,we come in peace.
Seems likely to result in our demise or at least accelerating the decision Starker suggested.
Begins Magical Cunning. You can perform an esoteric rite for 1 minute. At the end of it, you regain expended Pact Magic spell slots but no more than a number equal to half your maximum (round up). Once you use this feature, you can’t do so again until you finish a Long Rest
Starker:”I have the ability to walk on water as a result of wearing of this ring. (Not, Dear Father, because of my buoyant good nature as you no doubt were hypothesizing).
“I shall do so now, perhaps accompanied by our winged companion and whomever else can bestride the billowy element. I lf alone I shall negotiate with the proprietor according to my best wisdom.
“I do this because it is logical; we will definitely die horrible painful deaths if we return to mukbakville, we only might die interacting with the tower keeper.”
Sariel takes wing and glides along with Starker. The water below is clear. The bottom is silty for the first fifty feet or so and then becomes boulder covered further from shore at a depth of thirty feet or so. It then becomes deeper than the bottom can be seen.
Otherwise, I can use my last resource to Fly again. But that will be much more risky than our last trip as any failure in my concentration could result in us at the bottom of this lake
. On the other hand there is some risk to Staker being the voice of the Company without your wisdom to balance the matter.

Xymox: "I can not walk on water, but I can cast Dimension Door... I don't believe that I can make the width of the moat though." Looks at Trolkarl. "I have no intention of swimming across unless absolutely necessary."

As our weary group gathers themselves after the battle with these weird, other worldy creatures. Kragen spends a moment praying to Tyr, The Justice Bringer to "aid them in their time of need and provide them strength to return to Faerun and end the evil Wizards manifestation that is plaguing our plane and others". You can see that he is holding The Scales of Justice while he does so and prostrates his other hand above his head as if this were north or towards the heavens.
MA Aura of Vitality L3 - An aura radiates from you in a 30-foot emanation for the duration (1m). When you create the aura and at the start of each of your turns while it persists, you can restore 2d6+5 Hit Points to one creature in it.
An orange aura blooms from Kragen's holy symbol and radiates from him for a period of time (1m). While the group is walking towards the center point of this demi-plane, Kragen walks up to each of you, placing his hand on your shoulder or arm and lightly converses with you about your home or something familiar to you. He engages our new acquaintances, politely inquiring about home, family, loved ones. He is respectful to those whom do not care to share and blesses them with Tyr's divine countenance. As each of you are engaged, the light orange aura bath's you in a warm sensation, you feel some of your battle pains and injuries begin to heal and feel somewhat refreshed from the light conversation.
<Depending on the GM's preference, there are 2 options to disseminate the healing powers of Tyr. The purely technical method would be to role 10 times (10 rds) and proffer the healing accordingly. Or take the max total (170hps) and disseminate discreetly based on PC. If the later is allowed, here is how i would like to dispense Tyr's divine healing.>

Xymox is correct. It is 400 yards across the lake.
