Sariel takes up Chadwick under his shoulders and lifts off the ground. “There is a holy order I know that the warriors learn flight and are at home on the ground and aloft,” Sariel quips. The Deva then asks, “By the way, none of you are cannibals, are you?”
Xymox: "Is the deva going to fly everyone over?"
Starker, as he continues his walk:”The arbitrary esthetic against anthropophagy can lead to unnecessary, illogical, ination. While so far I have not indulged in this menu choice, I can not promise never to do so.”
“Then I shall endeavor to keep you and the Paladin on the same shore at all times,” Sariel responds to Starker.
The Deva is busily ferrying all of you across that can neither walk upon air or water.
Trolkarl will take a ride if possible to save his last spell slot.
Starker strolls across the lake while Sariel is busy flying back and forth carrying the individuals of The Company. It is made sure that Chadwick and Starker are always on the same side of the lake.....
You are now all gathered on the shore of the island in the center of the lake. The stone tower rises up into the air here, imposing and solid. The amethyst colored crystals float about, streaming towards or away from the tower.
Were there any entrances visible while flying in? If not Chadwick will begin walking around the base looking for one.
There is a door. Facing you…
Starker:”Shall we knock? Time is running out.”
The group walks to the door and knocks, unless there is objection.
Xymox approaches and knocks on the door. He waits. There is no apparent response.
Kragen want to check for traps before I open it?
Chadwick also checks, perception 9.
Chadwick finds no traps.
Xymox: "As Starker has noted, we are running out of time."
Xymox pushes between his compatriots and attempts to open the door. "Here goes nothing."
It is locked.
The very dexterous drow will attempt to pick the lock. (15+5=20)
Success! The door cracks open and now is ajar.
Xymox will swing the door open and step back away from the opening.
Chadwick goes through the open door. If it appears dark he'll activate the drift globe first (light).
