The Innkeeper is amused by Cyrus bringing him the coin. Until the fez is removed to reveal two small curved horns sprouting from Cyrus XVIII's forehead. Cyrus bows, hands him the coin and returns to the table after again donning the fez.
The Innkeeper holds the coin gingerly with a nod of thanks, and departs.
Kragen looks up at Trolkarl questioningly. Looking him in the eyes.
Over TheCompanyNet: "i have not felt any unease other than Starker conjuring Cyrus the XVIII?? You both have me concerned! What have you detected?"
Kragen looks back at the table and then begins to look around the room as He pulls the Eyes of the Eagle back over his eyes. You see him reach for The Judge reflexively.
Kragen examines the room with his magical goggles. Nothing is apparent. All seems well. Trolkarl and Xymox's 'feelings' have now gone away. It is a very good meal in a comfortable setting. Cyrus XVIII seems unbothered by the agitation surrounding him.
Over the company net: This isn't normal. After the incident with the invisible stalkers, we do a quick search. I would rather we cause a scene here than put anyone nearby in danger by us not investigating this further.
"I have recently been embued by th Justice Bringer with the capability of seeing someone i am familiar with, called scrying. Its powerful magic and can be done without the individual knowing they are being watched, only an uneasy feeling... mayhaps thats how he was able to find our location and send those stalkers. We should use the company net for critical.comms. only mundane talk verbally."
"Clarify your comms? Are you indicating that you want us to begin to use our arcane skills to address this issue? I am not sure i can call down the fury of Tyr that distance?!"
Starker:”If the scryer is the one who sent those windy assassins, they may know we are here, in a town full of friends. We should leave immediately lest our next battlefield be Jotrun’s fine establishment. I suggest we get stocked on provisions such as dried mangos and leave town post-haste.”
I concur. We should return to Monsterdrank and hug the mayor.
KIDDING! I am sure he is a great guy.
Let's warn Bronk and other trusted folks here of the risk and our reason for leaving with haste I am going to buy 100' of silk rope, and will be ready to go.
During your luncheon following the summoning of Cyrus XVIII, Bronk tells you that he has seen Erbert several times in the past year. He has a camp set up to the west of the ruins south of town on the cliff’s edge. Erbert has been making observations and investigations into the ruins from there.
Starker:”You have often spoke of Erbert. I would like to meet him and hear what he has learned about Kellistor or the tower. I suggest a slight detour to the location Bronk indicated.”

Starker, over TheCompanyDotNet:”Twice since our battle with Molnor Windbreaker I have felt an brief, odd, presence briefly which then went away.
“The first time was at the tavern in Mirabar, the second at Jotrun’s. An odd coincidence, perhaps.”

The Mayor of Monstordrink IS a great guy. You all were A-holes to him in a time of crisis...
Trolkarl buys a rope.
/plans?
Evidence confirms, he was doing a shit job! 🤪
Dubious assessment.
/plans? For Shalecliff
Starker will check again on Albrek and if he is not in ask where he might have gone in his pursuit of knowledge about the Veil.
He will also re-stockup on the incense needed for Find Familiar (just in case).
He will bring the copy of the spellbook Trokarl is carrying up to date.
Not a lot of input over the past few days. Is The Company headed south to Kellistor’s ruined keep?
Moving south
Confirming warning signs are in place
Traveling a bit slower than normal, being on alert for wraiths (and invisible stalkers)
