Starker:”No, friend Trokarl, I most assuredly do not. First of all, I am up here with you. Secondly, so is Hoid. Thirdly and most importantly, so is Hoid’s sword. Also, I can not see, but I think Hoid is also in that sorry state. Thank you for asking.”
Alright. It sounds like we are all still alive- which is a good thing. Doing my best to squash this bug.
Im ready to dismiss the spell that is preventing you from seeing. But it sounds like we are better off with Hoid blind. Let me know if we need to change that
The vision obscuring spell used by Trolkarl relents and you can see once again. All three of you are in a cabin used for food storage and sleeping it looks like. There is a forward door as well as an aft door from this room.
Hoid is sagging on the floor, clearly stunned. Hoid’s sword is on the floor. Starker is swinging his staff about awkwardly. Trolkarl has a dead Neogi pinned to the floor with Darkbane.
Starker:”Let’s see if we can find the exit on this deck of which the Captain spoke. Once we establish our line of retreat we dan determine how much time, if any, we have to loot this doomed vessel.”
The deck continues to pitch and sway. The ship is clearly being actively piloted still. Smoke continues to come up from the weapon and cargo decks. Flames are seen on the deck below you.
Starker: “The captain said that they pilot the ship from where the grappling arms connect to the ship. She also said that the exit was on the bridge. Let’s go forward. Trokarl, can you produce that darkness again? If their magic is anything like most, they need to see the entity they wish to enslave.”
Hold my action until after Trokarl responds and/or acts.
Let me activate this pearl and then I could cast again
Sorry, your objective judge was occupied and missed the whole thing. I was fully focused on the neogi trying to kill me! I didn’t even realize you guys were up here. Sounds like I missed an epic bout.
Darkbane slices into the foul creature twice, gravely injuring it. It howls in pain and tries to strike at Trolkarl unsuccessfully.
Hoid to act:
Hoid climbs the ladder and swings wildly at Starker, to hit = 10 and 11. Both miss.
Starker to act.
Starker:”Hoid is up here and swinging his sword with reckless abandon. Beware!”
Swings quarterstaff at where he thinks Hoid is. In the unlikely event he hits, will try to topple him.
I assume disadvantage (4,14). Assume miss. If not. 2 damage plus dc 11 con save or be toppled.
sorry, I can’t hear you over the hysterical laughter.
Trolkarl to act
Action: Attack
#1- 11,19 damage10+3= 13
#2 17,17 damage 7+3= 10
Have you got everything under control down there, Starker?
Starker:”No, friend Trokarl, I most assuredly do not. First of all, I am up here with you. Secondly, so is Hoid. Thirdly and most importantly, so is Hoid’s sword. Also, I can not see, but I think Hoid is also in that sorry state. Thank you for asking.”
Trolkarl continues his assault upon the Neogi with Darkbane. Two more hits and the Neogi collapses, dead.
Hoid’s ridiculous sword clatters to the deck.

Hoid focuses on picking up his sword but says, “Starker-fu …. Needs … improvement.”

The ship becomes still. Flames can be seen through the port holes on the second deck. The ship is convincingly on fire.
Mallinora pauses and looks intently, “Be on guard!” She draws her rapier and dagger.
(( Any actions from Chadwick, Kragen or Gneuman? ))
Chadwick bellows "You guys need help in there?!!". If he doesn't hear anything after a round he's going back over.
Starker screams:”I think the pilot might be abandoning ship! ‘Ware enslavement!”
