Starker:”Master Charletin has specialized narrowly on Evocation. I doubt he would know much about necromancy at this level. Give me a few minutes to go through my notes to see if aught else from our previous adventures might be relevant.”
(Haynes going afk for evening. Feel free to crowdsource Starker. I am voluntarily going to a place where an oddly-dressed rotund woman will scream at me in German for 270 minutes.)

Kragen frowns, seeming conflicted and frustrated about current conditions.
”this is a fell place that requires fell acts.” Frowns, looking at the pulsating floor and then to the altar with its nefarious contents. Pulls a flask of Holy Water and strides forward, showering himself with its contents and verbalizing a prayer to Tyr for protection.
protection from evil L1 on himself
steps to the altar, looks at the dagger and the chalice, then frowns. Suddenly you see him grab the dagger, picking it up with his right hand. Proffers his left and slices his palm. Then holds his left hand over the chalice with clinched fist, you see blood squeeze from his fingers and fall into the cup. Stands there resolute staring at the skull on the back wall.
Kragen repeats Starker's actions with drawing blood from himself with the dagger and collecting it in the chalice. Again, no discernible effect is seen.

You all stand about the room. The slow pulsation of the ropes of flames in the floor keeping time with the glow from the eye sockets of the skull on the wall. A now bloody, tarnished silver chalice sits on the altar. It is decorated with engravings of bound hands and tongues. The great tome written in multiple languages, most unknown to you continues to flip its pages randomly about in a rhythm slower than the flames, almost like breathing rests beside the chalice. An ornate dagger that appears to be designed for use in sacrificial rites, but sturdy enough for fighting use and a silver box that cannot be opened or moved also sit upon the altar. Two dragon statues decorated in semi-precious gemstones watch from the opposite end of the room. The air here is cool and the feeling is eerie.
Starker:”Friends and Colleagues: perhaps we should investigate the rest of this tomb/church, clear out its denizens, and the rest and recover before attempting this chamber again. We could, for instance, try to open those giant doors in the room with the statues?”
If the silver box has a key hole Chadwick will first try opening it with Craddick the Coward's key saying "This is for you Hoid". If that doesn't work he'll try the iron key found on the undead ogre.
Starker:”The box will open when we present it with something true from within. In this necromantic context I’m curious as to what that means. In this necromantic context I expect many of you are worried about what this means. The heart of an innocent baby? The aorta of a judge? I fear it would be wasteful, inelegant, and time consuming to simply experiment.”
“go to that other room and kick in the door. We expect the worst of traps and perhaps an evil dead wizard on the other side. If you are sent back to your world, it won’t be in vain. We intend to end him.
And who knows, if you survive, there may be something for you to slay on the other side or at least have something to gloat about. Good luck !“
Starker:”I am out of ideas. There is an infinitude of things that can be refered to as within and true. When the blood in the chalice didn’t work and my investigation yielded nothing I felt that perhaps my abilities were not equal to the task. So now I want to burn things.”
Trolkarl's Fuming Fey Spirit approaches the door. With a mighty kick it bounces off, nearly falling to the ground.
The doors are fashioned of iron and have intricate etchings of arcane symbols and diagrams. A single, 1 foot diameter circular door pull is in the center of each door about 5 feet off the ground.

Okay. (Reset the L1 spell as well)

There is no key hole
Starker:”The box will open when we present it with something true from within. In this necromantic context I’m curious as to what that means. In this necromantic context I expect many of you are worried about what this means. The heart of an innocent baby? The aorta of a judge? Trolkarl instructs the fuming fey to :
“go to that other room and kick in the door. We expect the worst of traps and perhaps an evil dead wizard on the other side. If you are sent back to your world, it won’t be in vain. We intend to end him.

Spell range is 90 feet. Position Trolkarl, the fey and everyone else.
Chadwick is in position.
Starker:”Excellent plan. I will wait here, behind this stout pillar.”
Yartol speaks up as he takes position behind a pillar, bow ready, “I thought you said this was a decoy? The real tomb is beyond that secret door?”
Starker:”I am out of ideas. There is an infinitude of things that can be refered to as within and true. When the blood in the chalice didn’t work and my investigation yielded nothing I felt that perhaps my abilities were not equal to the task. So now I want to burn things.”
Kragen is ready

Unless we have means to enlarge/reducethe fey, we need a different approach
