Chadwick strikes out at the creature, hitting it multiple times and shocking it with lighting energy. It opens its "mouth" and the sound of rattling branches and dry leaves in the wind comes forth.
You all cannot help but notice Yartol's face blanching as a look of horror fills his face. He screams a battle cry and rushes at the creature, swords drawn.
Kragen gasps as he hears the creature howls, then looks about trying to peer through it's brambles, branches and vines. You can see he is visibly tense and ready to spring forward.
Starker moves to the entrance and casts Firebolt at the creature attacking Chadwick, though his voice is raspy and the verbal component of the spell sounds oddly altered.
Firebolt: 21 to hit, 11 fire damage (unless somehow altered by throat problems)
He looks down at Cyrus and says: “Not you, not today. It would serve no purpose.”
Starker moves away from the creature, prompting a reaction. It attacks with its claws, to hit = 15. His Mage Armor blocks the claws from tearing flesh. With hardly a hesitation he then casts Fire Bolt striking the creature for 22 fire damage. It reacts to this by shrinking back, away from the fire.
Yartol closes in on the creature and attacks from beside Chadwick. Short sword to hit = 7 (nat 1) and 25, hitting for 2 piercing and 1 psychic damage. He follows up with a scimitar attack, to hit = 11. A miss.
Kragen shakes off the cold air to utter his prayer to Tyr. Radiance engulfs the creature, damaging it. It is severely wounded.
All but Starker are affected by the swaying branches and glimpses of movement in the periphery of your vision, distracting you. The creature melts into the ceiling. Chadwick and Yartol are unable to use a reaction due to the distracting effect on your vision. You quickly look about, searching for the creature. It is difficult to determine what is real and what is distraction. Until the wall across from Starker comes to life! The creature emerges and attacks, to hit (14, 3) + 8 = 22 and (1, 12) +8 = 20. One hit for 11 psychic damage and another for 9 psychic damage.
Xymox’s Action: The bard narrows his eyes as the branch-born abomination reemerges from the wall, its limbs cracking like dry tinder. He steps lightly into the chamber, violin bow in hand, his voice low but edged with sardonic melody.
“Enough of this hide-and-gnash nonsense. Let us see you dance properly, twig-man.”
With a flourish, Xymox draws a sigil in the air, his voice rising in a lilting phrase that resonates with arcane shimmer. Glittering violet-green flames spill from his fingers, clinging to the creature’s twisting limbs and skeletal maw, outlining it in spectral fire.
Cast:Faerie Fire (Dex save DC vs spell).
On failure: the creature is limned in violet light, granting advantage on attack rolls against it and negating its trickery in the shadows.
On success: the light flickers harmlessly against its bark-like skin, but the bard’s mocking grin lingers.
Xymox rests the bow on the strings, the faintest note thrumming in the air.
“There now—no more tricks. Let’s prune this garden.”
Can Chadwick attack from the square I just moved him to?
Now that the creature moved is the cold still impacting Chadwick's ability to use verbal components in a spell? If it's a save to cast can I use bardic inspiration for it?
Chadwick takes a couple of swings at the humanoid stick thing.
Attack 1: 15, 15 dam
Attack 2: 20, 7 dam
Polearm strike: 23, 6 dam
If one of those hits storm bite for: 4 additional damage.
Sorry about the extra attack roles, figures not work so gud in morning.

Can Chadwick attack from the square I just moved him to?
Now that the creature moved is the cold still impacting Chadwick's ability to use verbal components in a spell? If it's a save to cast can I use bardic inspiration for it?
(( Correction: Starker successfully saved vs the distractions. Creature attacks are NOT with advantage. Second attack misses. 9 HP REFUNDED. ))
Would a range attack be possible from Chadwick's location, if so what would be the AC advantage for cover?
1/2 cover. +2 to AC.
