Yartol organizes Kellen and Serethia as your 'rear guard' to keep watch on the melting wall. Pounding on the wall can be heard.
The Company moves to the newly formed hallway thanks to the Passwall spell. Chadwick is at the end, cursing, (in giant:) "For f@cks sake!" Switching back to Common, "Not as safe as I thought, floor turned to goo and got pulled down by the poor unfortunate souls and they sucked my life force. I'm getting sick of this place and all the creepiness."
The passage ends in the wall of a small, square chamber. It is illuminated by several sconces high on the walls emitted red light. The ceiling is 15’ high and smooth. The floor of the room is translucent with emaciated bodies moving about below. You are looking down upon them and see their heads and somewhat see their shoulders as their bodies disappear in the translucence. The are all milling about, packed tightly into the space below. Standing before the far wall is a pedestal of carved red and black stone. Sitting atop the pedestal is an ebon black tube, capped with a golden stopper set with a huge ruby. Faintly pulsating runes of power glow with angry red light.
Kragen places his hands on Chadwick's shoulder. "Are you alright?", "Let me see if some of my acquired capabilities help us find a path. We must get Illiandil's Phylatulation container and destroy his odoriferous essence!"
Kragen turns towards the wall, steps onto it and walks 7' up, then turns and walks towards where the corridor and room intersect. He crouches down and peers at the pedestal.
Kragen is does not see anything new from his now heightened perspective. The floor appears to be solid. There are indistinct humanoid figures see through the translucent floor. The pedestal on the other side of the room has runes etched up and down the sides. Sitting on top is this ebon tube with a ruby bearing gold cap. The tube is also etched in runes.
He does recognize that many of the runes are of power associated with chaos and the Far Realm.
Identifying nothing new of interest, Kragen transitions from the threshold into the room via the North wall. Once 5' in to the room, then steps onto the ceiling (given he sees nothing that would tell him otherwise). Once on the ceiling, walks ahead and places himself above the pedestal. Pauses for a few seconds.
Kragen attempts to use Dispel Magic upon the phylactery. Spell check (WIS) = 12. Failure.
The ruby pulses with a brilliant burst of red light. A beam shoots forth at Kragen, DC17 DEX save = 12 (11 + 1). He takes 22 fire and 16 necrotic damage from the burst.
You can see Kragen is visibly injured, taken aback by the effect of the trap. He has an extermely frustrated look as he peers down at the Phylactery. He looks back at Chadwick, then to the phylactery. Chadwick senses Kragen may be on the point of doing something rash.
Kragen palms The Judge in his hands and stairs down at the ebony tube...
Starker adds, "Sadly, I am not learned of the Dispel Magic to attempt to bring down the enchantments protecting the item. Perhaps our new acquaintance, Serethia, would be able to do such a thing?"
Serethia shakes her head side to side, "I am spent. I do not have the strength to cast the spell."
Starker nods in acknowledgment, "Yes, you look like you could use a long nap." Serethia gives a mini-curtsy in response. Starker continues, "Sir Chadwick, what took place to make the beings trapped in the floor attempt to pull you down amongst them?"
Kragen pauses and takes a deep breath, then holsters The Judge. Returns to the corridor threshold, via the ceiling, looking quite dejected. Upside down, he addresses you all...
"Colleagues, it appears i have not the capability to overcome this witches devices. For a moment, i just about succumbed to influence of this fell place. My actions would have been rash and ineffective."
"What would you propose now?", "We lack the capabilities to destroy the artifact containing his essence and we lack the means to leave this plane. We have his armies knocking at our only means of safety and it appears our means of escape is cutoff. I am losing hope that we will exit safely back to our own plane?"
(( Looks like we are back up ))
Can you post another link to the map?

From inside the next room you hear Chadwick "It is thoroughly unpleasant, but seems safe enough. I believe we have found it."
Chadwick will check for traps around the stand.
Perception 8
One round of action from everyone, please.
From the next room you hear Chadwick, " (yelling): &@$&*'!!"
Awaiting access to owlbear
regardless though, Kragen would dash towards the commotion.
Trolkarl will keep close to Starker and urge him to follow Kragen
Lets move.
Xymox follows Trolkarl.
Starker follows along.

"Brother Kragen, as much as I enjoy the smashing of inanimate objects perhaps one of the others might have luck with dispelling the traps?"
