Serethia listens. "Leaving without the phylactery will only all him to reform. He has forever to seek his revenge upon us. He will not fail to do so. We must find the phylactery," she adds.
"Then we agree on that common cause, we, or most of us, seek an end to this Wizards nefarious intent. We have reason to believe he has attempted and succeeded in building a direct bridge from the Abyssal plane to the Far Realm, which in of itself is concerning. We must end him and his work!"
"Let me see to your condition as best i can and confer with the others as to our path forward."

Kragen then checks on the condition of Kellen Dureth
"Miss Serethia would you like a weapon, or weapons? While we will do our best to keep you two safe, it's always prudent to be armed in a place like this."
Chadwick is willing loan any of his weapons except the halberd.
"Brother Dureth, we found a few other items in the chest besides the sword. Are any of these yours? Or perhaps yours Miss Serethia?"
Xymox: “Serethia speaks truth wrapped in terror. A lich with time is a problem; a lich with a grudge is a catastrophe. We either end this now, properly… or we spend the rest of our lives checking shadows.” He looks to to the others nearby. “On the bright side, at least we now know the lich planned to haunt us personally. It’s almost flattering.” He stands and walks to the center of the cell block. "Ready yourselves. All of you. We need to move quickly."
“Yes, I think we should finish this and our intended target!”
”I’ll finish checking the cells for any oddities, maybe Mage Starker and a few others should finish gathering items of interest and arcane nature and determine their use, they may be of need. Then I suggest we finish investigating the unexplored areas. The hidden door in the room with the magic portal and the door to the west hallway.”
”Serethia and Brother Dureth can remain with Sir Chadwick and Master Trolkarl to keep them safe.”
”Sir Chadwick, I believe I need to preserve the rest of Tyr’s divine powers for any upcoming encounters. Can you provide our friends (motions to Serethia and Dureth) Tyr’s restorative powers?”
Kragen then begins to thoroughly inspect each cell for hidden doors and other such oddities.
Kragen searches with the aid of the others. Brother Kellen and Serethia both appreciate the opportunity to have a breather and a small meal from your rations. Neither seems particularly drawn to the other. Kellen is very apprehensive of the face in the wall. He describes Illiandil having him hold victims restrained as he communed with 'something' beyond the face. Occasionally he perceived dark tentacles writhing within the mouth of the face, other times huge eyes or other weird limbs. Always, the souls of the victims were drawn out and consumed in an agony inducing process. Illiandil looked on with glee and was then rewarded somehow with energy delivered through a red cloud of mist, like what is present in the eye sockets.
The search of the cells turns up nothing else of use. One set of manacles appears to be able to be removed from the walls if you want. They weigh 20lbs if you want to bring them along.
The library is a trove of items and books. Starker wants it all. And the staff. His desk is filled with items and seeming knick-knacks. Some very strange in materials and shape. A wand is found and Serethia's eyes light up. "My wand...," she says. "I would like to have that back, please," she states to the group matter of factly. There are tomes, books, scrolls and other collections of writings on the shelves and desk. All seem to be written in an indecipherable language. (( If you want to take these let me know. You will be blindly selecting items since no translation is possible. Please state Book, Tome, Scroll, Alternative media or Plaque. ))
Xymox gives the wand to the sorceress. He will then look to grab valuable items that are easily carried. He will start will scrolls then look to Starker on what books seem promising.
Serenthia curtsies slightly when offered the wand by Xymox, “Many thanks, Drow. How should I address you? I am Serethia.”
She holds on to the wand since her clothing is just rags and tatters that barely provide modesty. You do notice her grip is tight with blanched knuckles.
Kragen, mumbles a low curse, hearing him say something about compassion and concern for others. “Apologies lady Serethia, this place has forced me to forget myself.”, grabs his tattered cloak, and begins to remove it. “I am afraid this is all I have to replace your torn coverings?” Waits to see if she desires the cloak.
then addresses the group. “Grab items radiating magic and leave the rest.”
”let’s head to the door to the west and investigate, then we can finish with the hidden door by the magic circle.”
Xymox takes the hand of Lady Serethia and helps her to stand. He bows deeply with slight bardic flare before releasing her.
“Xymox. Thorned Minstrel, itinerant nuisance, occasional savior.” He glances at her wand, then back to her eyes. “I’m pleased you reclaimed something of yours. Power suits you—especially when worn with defiance.”
Xymox smiles at her kindly. “Hardship has weathered you, but it hasn’t dimmed you. It’s like soot on a mirror—wipe it away, and the light is still there.” Then to the group. "Someone find the lady a cloak, quickly."
Serethia accepts the cloak and gracefully wraps herself within it. You see a spark of an inner fire return to her eyes after this, "You are too kind Kragen and Xymox. Thank you for my rescue. Now, let's complete that accomplishment."
Starker points out the interesting bits to everyone. He grabs several books and tomes as well as a weird collection of string and wires. Serethia pockets several items from the desk into the cloak. Her wand is kept in hand.
Recall there was also an impression on one of the ornate columns we observed before coming down the stairs to this level.
So far as hiding things behind a wall without doors, seems entirely possible. But then leaving a couple of scrolls to get to your vault seems to defeat the purpose.
All these bit and trinkets are interesting. However we are expecting company. Trolkarl will focus on lookin for the items of the phylactery
Starker:”Let me see if I can gather my recollections and my notes to see if there is a likely location for Passwall’s use.”

”Also, Sir Chadwick, you might consider which location in this tomb would be best tactically for us to defend ourselves from Illiandil and set us in proper positions.”
Serethia listens. "Leaving without the phylactery will only all him to reform. He has forever to seek his revenge upon us. He will not fail to do so. We must find the phylactery," she adds.

Both are down to lass than 25% HP and have 2 levels of exhaustion

Shows the contents we found in the chest.
Kellen indicates the rising sun amulet, “My holy symbol as well.”
Serethia declines. “Thanks. I’m not really a weapons kind of person,” she replies.
"Given the two passwall scrolls we found, is it possible that he's hidden the phylactery in a room with no doors?
But I agree with Xymox, let's continue on. Kragen if you would be so good to check the door for traps we can proceed."
“Yes, I think we should finish this and our intended target!”

Yartol is hesitant to just start grabbing things. He stays near the Serethia and Brother Kellen to protect them.
Kragen moves to investigate the door to the west. As he does so, completes a MA to recover a 3rd level spell using the Pearl of Power.

Kragen examines the door. He finds no traps.
It appears that there is a magical lock on the door.
Kragen looks to Starker “your up?”
