Reuniting the Band

Xymox's words seem to have a calming effect upon the shifting men.  Even Dax seems to relent a bit from his outward display of hostility.  "Mister, we ain't the ones slipping about with our words not matching our mouths.  That is you," Peek states.

Dax squints at all of you at once.  Seems to be a special ability of his.  "Hoid told us of a group he used to lead.  Said 'being around them all the time made him angry' he said.  The Shining Steel company is his home now.  If you know him, tell me what clan he claims as his family," he demands.  He is less hostile, but not seeming to be trusting yet.

The first guard looks up and says, "There's a little black spot on the sun today."

The fourth then shrugs it off, "It's the same ol' thing as yesterday."

This may have been before your days, Xymox. But I do recall, this may have been just before we went to Mother Goose's land together, he claimed
 I do not know where I am from, and I do not know my family. I know my compatriots, but they are recent memories

That said, he did always have a very unique relationship with Chadwick. Maybe he has shared stories of thinking of him as a son or stepson of sorts.
But no, probably not.  I am guessing that he still claims that he doesn't know his family.
