Eadyan Falconmoon opens the door. Even in all this chaos he still has a calm demeanor. "Come inside the townsfolk are beside themselves and won't listen to reason."
Inside people are screaming, trying to hide, crying, or just plain panicking. There is a thick haze of smoke inside. The front door is heavily splintered and getting worse as the sell swords in front takes turns attacking the door.
Seeing the party come in has not improved the situation as one of the townsfolk screams "There here were doomed!" mistaking the party for the sell swords in the back of the temple.
Sterling sees a few people he has seen before, and the townsfolk are swayed by Sterlings word. They quickly head out through the back door. There is easily 20 people here.
Eadyan Falconmoon puts a hand on Sterling's shoulder "Thank you my friend now I very much would welcome the thick walls of the keep."
"This way... watch your step... and hurry, you need to get out of here before the know your gone" krackle would say as he motions towards the exit and back to the wall they climbed over.
What is the plan to get the townsfolk over the fence or do you break a section of the fence as not all townsfolk are athletic. There are some elderly and children among the crowd as well.
As the group make their way towards the wooden fence, Krackle picks up the spear from the ground and attempts to shove the tip between some of the wooden slats, trying to use it like a really long pry bar for maximum leverage.
Zeds pulls a crowbar out of his kit and starts with the assisting of some deconstruction in order to make a hole big enough for people to get through. “Those who can climb over, help others then do so!” He commands in a loud whisper. “Toss the little ones over, if need be. We’re in a hurry here!”
Working together with the party is able to pry off fence slats giving enough room for the townsfolk to leave. Other who are more fit take the children with them over the fence.
The party hears the door split asunder from behind and you know then and there the sell swords in front of the temple has broken in and are heading straight through the temple.
Heading for the keep you see the battle is still raging for the Castellan and the guards so entering through the front of the keep is not advisable.
Seeing the fighting at the keep, Krackle would point towards the secret entrance to the keep. "Quick! this way.. go!" The small kobold would shout as he motions for the group to make their way inside.
How many seem to be in pursuit? When pointing to the tunnel, Zeds would have given the most official looking survivor the key… “Lock it behind you!” Zeds would call out, uncharacteristically self sacrificing and look to bottle neck the pursuers at the gap in the fence or any other spot providing such an opportunity.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Stirling will stand by Zeb.
Stand aside a moment. He pulls out his holy symbol and sends up a prayer then points his symbol towards the sky then at the 7 sell swords. A beam of sunlight shines on the yard with the sell swords.

***Would we be able to take them back through the same secret tunnel we used to get out of the castle?***
The party has time to try to delay the sell swords as they are heading through the temple.
Yes you can take the people back through the secret tunnel.
Seeing the fighting at the keep, Krackle would point towards the secret entrance to the keep. "Quick! this way.. go!" The small kobold would shout as he motions for the group to make their way inside.
The large group heads for the secret tunnel and make it though it is locked.
(Does anyone try to slow down the pursuing sell swords from the temple? If not they are hot on your heels.)
Krackle would have cast a bonfire behind him every so many steps under the perusing enemies feet
