Once most of the group were together, Krackle would leap from Jr and give him a few rations. "Good boy Jr. You did great today" he would say while giving him a pat on the nose. He would then move to collect some firewood before igniting a bonfire. "I think we need to wait up for Zeds... I hope he is OK" The kobold would say as he sat on top of his bag near the fire... keeping himself warm.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As concern about the fire starts, Krackle would try to pile sticks and brush to block the view of the flames in the dark. He would get some rest, waking to take watch so others can sleep at some point.
Krackle is first on watch and the night was peaceful until a dark looming creature fly over the camp. All the night sounds from crickets and owls go silent. It's a dragon for sure but what kind is too hard to tell in the dead of night. It ignores the party and flies off. The animals of the wild wait a few moments before resuming their nightly sounds.
Dragons in the past were an extremely rare sight now in a span of a 2 days you have seen 2 dragons.
The rest on the night is uneventful and it is soon dawn.
Watching the dark figure swoop across the night sky.. the small kobold would sink under the closest tree. Then once the dragon was gone, he would pick up small pieces of brush and tree limbs to try to camouflage his sleeping companions without waking them up.
Ironthar wakes up quite late, last two days is pretty intense even for him. “We’re gonna need to get back to town. We need to regroup and planned ahead if we wanna continue this fight.”
He looked to Zed.
“And you need a lot of rest, I saw you are downed by that halfdragon again. I think your wounds are still not recovering yet, you need to be healed for a while. Stop acting like a tough guy for a day”
Zeds yawns, stretches gingerly and then shrugs. “Nothing tough here,” he answers Ironthar. “Would rather be in a warm inn with a cold drink, a spicy meal and a saucy wench… But life seldom gives us what we deserve.”
(Was he able to get in a long rest?)
“But yes, back to Greenest quickly, but with care,” he adds. “Return the captive, share what we know and hopefully leave the rest to the professionals, eh?”
Yes, Zeds got a long rest. Though he still feels the aches and tiredness and he definitely have some new scars. He no longer has a level of exhaustion.
"So I don't really know if we completed all the tasks they asked us to do..." krackle would say looking up to his companions. "I... didn't write them down. I know we saved the monk here but I thought that was kind of a bonus thing." He would whisper while pointing towards the free'd prisoner.
"Hello, I'm Krackle!" The small kobold would reply as he extended a clawed hand for a hand shake. "You already met my pet Jr." he would add pointing towards the giant lizard.

Zeds pushes on, risking exhaustion is better than risking being caught.., or waking up to a hungry bear snuffling your unmentionables.
An hour after the party started setting up for the night Zeds stumbles into view huffing and clearly tired with 1 level of exhaustion.
If the party plans to keep watch let me know the order.
"Oh Hi Zeds! I'm glad you made it. I warmed some meat on the fire for you." The kobold would say with a relieved smile as he hands Zeds some meat.
"You think the fire is wise with them looking for us?" Zeds asks and then immediately slunks down next to it to warm up. "You guys have any trouble?"
After a quick bite and such, Zeds is quick to fall asleep...
(Rolled a 15 nature or it would be 18 survival to help pick a camp that is more hidden.)
Stirling eats and drinks from his rations and snuggles up by a tree.
"We should put the fire out as soon as possible we might of lost them but who knows if they are still out looking for us.
Ironthar thanks for the assist getting up to the bluff that encounter was a bit embarrassing."
Stirling will volunteer for last watch so he may be uo for the Sunrise.
Is anyone else taking a turn at watch?

If awoken for a watch, Zeds would do his best to stay awake through it. Perception (at dis due to exhaustion): 18 (good roll, 18 and a 17)
Sterling roll perception for watch duty.
Perception:13

The monk looks at all of you and introduces himself "Thanks again for the rescue and I am Leosin a monk from Berdusk"

Stirling wakes up for his shift and stands watch. At Sunrise he performs his daily devotionals.
"We should press back soonest. We can talk enroute"
