Erevan didn't have to say it twice and the minute he freed the bath, the cleric was already running upstais. And though she had planned to stay longer, the perspective of visiting the Elfsong made her be quicker than usual (though definitely not as quick as the rest of them).
When she came back downstairs she was already dressed and had even put a little make up on:
- Gods above, I can't wait to have a glass of red wine in my hands! And, if we are lucky, there will be some bard playing nice music! This was definitely a great idea, Amaris!
"Everan, I do thank you for your memory. There was indeed one in the basement. But it was not to my liking. After I've rested up a bit, or when we are next out and about the city I will do some browsing. If we go out this evening it will be a prime opportunity."
The half elf continues to lounge on the sofa with feet up on a coffee table, arms behind his head and eyes only half open.
As the banter seems to be winding down, the front door of Nan's Nook opens up revealing... Nan? She enters with a tired expression and an arm full of groceries. She casts a glance at you all, lounging about and relaxing. The corners of her lips tug ever so slightly before she shakes her head and addresses the room, "I see you finished your business with the necromancer. In fact, I smelled it before I even reached the door. Throw your clothes down into the basement, lovelies, and be ready for me to incinerate those garments!" She chuckles as she closes the door behind her with a soft kick.
Nan places the groceries down on the counter and crosses her arms. "I have a guest here this evening, and you kids cannot be here for it. In fact, I hope you didn't sour their mood. They've been hold up in my room for the past couple of days. Come here, children,"Nan beckons you closer. The ones who come closer see her pull out a small bag of coin and place it on the table. "This is for a job well done. Take it and go have fun tonight. I know the Gate will be thankful to be rid of... what was that necromancer's name? Zzam? Zart? Zaar? It will not pain me to completely forget a lunatic's name."

- Naaan! Finally! You had me worried there for a sec. I'm not used to arrive home and find it empty, you know? - she approaches the woman and kisses her - So we've got a visitor? Why don't you want him - or her - to meet us? - she asks, and with a mischievous grin lowers her voice and adds - Is he your lover or something? Naughy Nan! Heheh!
The cleric keeps mocking the older woman, but gets suddenly distracted by something far more interesting: the sound of gold scattering in the table. Almost squeaking and with her eyes wide open, she exclaims:
- Wow! That's like *a lot* ! More than I anticipated! I could by a couple of things with that. Perhaps a new dress? Or or or... a new shield! Or a cloak? So many options! But yes, a nice dinner at the Elfson tavern will be a nice start. Are you sure you don't want to come and bring your "friend" with you?
I'll be adding 155g to my inventory if that's fine!

As the door begins to open, Erevan's hand quickly moves towards the hilt of his sword, but as soon as he recognises Nan, he stops and smiles at the woman.
"It always make a strange impression being called a child by you..." chuckles Erevan while taking a good look at Nan "You do look tired. Is it everything all right?" asks with a tone of concern in his voice.
The elf too, as Caemlyn, is distracted by the amount of gold received. "Maybe you could buy another one of those books" he teases Caemlyn, pointing with his chin at the book that she and Amaris were reading before. "But jokes aside, thank you, Nan. I'll make sure that we kids do not spend it all tonight." he says with a smirk on his face.
Erevan lowers his tone of voice as he asks in a more serious tone "By the chance, is this client of yours an acquaintance of my late father?"

"Nan!" Amaris darts over to the old woman and gives her a quick hug. "You should've seen me, Nan, I - I mean, we - showed that necro-jerk what for, plus all of his zombie backup dancers!"
She laughs in glee as she receives the gold. "Maybe I can finally buy that spell component I'd been looking at at Sorcerous Sundries... maybe even some new scrolls! Oh, this is great, thanks Nan!" While Amaris can be a little blunt and distant to some of the others, she has no such reservations around Nan.
"Wait, something horrid happened to your friend? That's terrible! Is... is there anything we can do to help? ... Preferably after we go to the Elfsong...?"

"No, I don't think so. Someone in the family died a few days back, and I think the, as you say, family business does not quite call for this child. The death was unexpected, but only by a decade if I'm being honest. But don't you worry, if I need your help getting them out of my room, I'll let you know. - Give her your book, Amaris, that will definitely cheer her up! We can sit later and discuss its highlights - Caemlyn said as she winked at the two women.
She looked at the rest of the group and added:
- Okay, ready to leave for the Elfsong? Let's give Nan some space to rest a little - then continued lowering her voice - ... and deal with the guest.
Bryn is just as quick to join the others around Nan but is more reserved in his expressing of his feelings. The other seem to be carrying that load quite nicely. Even when the coin is presented he takes his share and expresses his thanks, and little else.
"This is wonderful Nan, thank you. If you or your friend are needing anything, you know that you need do nothing more than ask. We will get out of your hair and let you talk with your friend."
"Do not say that, you know well that I will not get any wrinkles," replies Erevan with an half-smile and a sombre tone of voice as a shadow of sadness covers the elf's face as he thinks of the brief lifespan of the human race.
Erevan looks at Caemlyn and nods to her says "Give me a minute to put on my armour, and I'll be ready to leave. I do not want to find myself at disadvantage in case we encounter trouble."
"Let us know if you need anything Nan, okey?" says before leaving the room.
Amaris looks bashful again at mention of Bump in the Night."Oh, quit it, Cammy!" She groans, punctuated by a light slap on the shoulder with said book. "Well, if you say so, Nan. Thanks again, for everything. Let me get my things and then I'll be ready to go!"
Amaris heads upstairs, grabs her bag and a coat, then comes back down. She takes out a compact mirror and inspects herself. "Hm, maybe I should just do my makeup when I get there."
Pushing through the wooden doors, you find yourself embraced by the crowded and rowdy tavern full of diverse patrons. Standing sentinel by the entrance are a familiar pair of bouncers, who you know through word of mouth or your own interactions with them, as Klank (an animated suit of armor) and Skoona (a half-ogre woman). They stand vigil, paying special attention to the (right)-side of the room.. Aside from them, the other person that catches your immediate notice is the bard in the corner playing his song. He sings a melody that rings a bell in your minds, but his song is being drowned out by all the patrons carrying on without a care for him. Finally, of course, Alan Alyth stands behind the bar as ever, the half-elven owner of the Elfsong.
(Feel free to place yourselves anywhere on the first floor and say what you want to look at or do. You can inspect people too if you are curious about anything. The mask tokens are all commoner-looking folk, Daggers are thuggish types, dragons are nobles. Anything else is an adventurer or the bard in the corner.)

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"The tavern is very crowded tonight" says Erevan as the group enters the Elfsong Tavern. "Shall we find us a nice place by the fire near the bard?" the elf points at the empty table on the right side of the room "That table is, at least for now, empty and it should be close to the bard to actually hear their songs. I'll get us the first round of drinks and something to eat too it." The elf waits a moment for his companions' reactions before heading towards the empty table. As he walks towards the table, he gestures to Alan, hoping to catch his attention or that of one of his helpers. He also scans the tavern paying particular attention to the thuggish patrons and trying to listen to the room's conversation.

Much of the conversation overall seems directed to the recent death of Duke Dillard Portyr, one of the four dukes serving on the council of four, aka the figureheads of Baldur's Gate. His niece, Commander Liara Portyr who was posted in Chult, is being recalled to the Gate. Liara Portyr is a woman in her 40's, and the Duke outlived all his possible heirs. The rumors seem to mostly speak about how Liara Portyr is likely to become the next duke and sit on the council. There is a faint murmur that there is another possible heir, Liara's own child, though it seems not much is known beyond the fact that she has one. A young would be adventurer.
Any further info would need to come from a history check. You can prompt the others to make a history check in case they are interested too.
The only undertone from the thug-side of things is how the death of Duke Portyr has greatly pissed off Nine-Fingers, the leader of the Guild -- which as you know is a crime syndicate that operates in the shadows of the Gate. They are speaking about how the death of this duke and the possible crowning of Liara Portyr as the next duke might mean the Flaming Fist come down harder on the Guild and its operations. Basically: Liara becoming a seated member somehow makes crime more dangerous to commit.
Again, more info would come from a history check as to why that might be. (A separate check from the one above.)

- Crowded indeed! - Cam replied to Erevan as soon as they arrivedat the tavern doors. She then turned to the bouncers. They had spent so much in that tavern since they'd been working together that the cleric was used to greet the half-ogre, and even the animated armor - Hope these people is not giving you too much work, Skoona! And I see you have Klank again as a companion. Not giving you much conversation, is he?
She then followed the elf inside, applauding his choice of a table:
- Oh, yeah, fantastic! Let's get near the bard, yes. With so much noise around it would be hard to listen to him - she says as she sits down, trying to pay attention to the music to see if she recognizes the song. If she does, she'll sing along a little and even user her magic to make the candles flicker following the music's rythm. Perhaps that way the other guests will pay a little more attention to the music and shout a little less.
When Alan - or one of his workers - come near the table, the cleric orders red wine for herself and whatever is on the menu for dinner. Being in the Elfsons she's pretty sure everything will be delicious. And when Erevan tells them about what he's heard she comments:
- A new duke, huh? Well, I hope that doesn't cause us any trouble. Not that we are criminals or anything, but if she's that strict it could have an impact on the number of jobs offered to adventurers like us.
Speaking of jobs, is there any kind of sign announcing jobs?
History check for the Portyr's: 10.
History check regarding crime and the Guild: 16
I will leave a perception roll to take a look at the persons sitting nearer to us (the ranger, the warlock and the paladin) to check if they are interesting at all: 10.

Portyr's: You know about as much as average person. You know Duke Portyr sat on the council, but also that he was really passive and slow to action. Out of all the people on the council, everyone pretty much hated him while he was around because he was a wishy-washy do nothing. You aren't versed enough in his family to know much about Liara, but based on what everyone else is saying you can take a guess that she would be a much more active member of the council. What that means for you, you aren't sure.
Crime and the Guild: The Guild has a stranglehold over most gangs in Baldur's Gate, any that are worth their salt. They are also involved in 'protection,' mostly from the Zhentarim. While Zhents have been in Baldur's Gate for a long time, longer than the Guild, the Guild managed to overtake the Zhent's under Nine-Fingers Keene's leadership. An interesting thing you were told once or overheard (or however you learned it), it seems Nine-Fingers holds a special sort of anger when it comes to gangs that traffic people. Traffickers have to turn to the Zhentarim to do business. The Guild holds pockets of the Under City and large swaths of the sewers as their turf.
The adventuring party: They don't stand out too much to you, but it seems like they are discussing taking a job from the job board.
There is a job board. I will put it here for your viewing pleasure:

While her companions are finishing ordering, Caemlyn approaches the board, reads all the adds in detail and then comes back to the table. After telling the rest what she has seen, she adds:
- Any of those could be good for us, don't you think? Not sure about the healing one, though. If it isn't complex healing they're talking about, I might be able to do it. And this one is pretty near, we could even find out more after dinner.
"I wouldn't worry too much about a new Duke" replies Erevan while sipping his wine "Nothing has been decided yet." He pauses a moment take another sip. "Trust me, Cammy, cities like Baldur's Gate require people like us to function properly."
While Caemlyn approaches the board, the elf takes another quick scan of the room just to be sure that the other patrons are behaving and not causing problems.
"I have yet to face an Umber Hulk, but judging from my father's stories, they are formidable opponents, I wouldn't mind to try my sword skills against one of them." says Erevan as Caemlyn tells the group about the jobs on the tavern's board. "However, since I had my fill, at least for a while, of unpleasant smells, I would suggest we consider one of the others first. The message about the healers is intriguing; it could be a trap of some sort or it could be a genuine request for help. Either way, since that it's the closest one, it would not hurt to check it out first. After that, I'm personally very interested in exploring those ruins within the mountain."

Perception 8
