Erevan grins and nods in approval at Amaris as her magic manages to dispatch most of the remaining stirges. As one of the last two creatures is engulfed by Caemlyn's radiant light, the elf sprints forward closing the distance in an heartbeat. As soon as he reaches melee range, Erevan pivots on his left leg making an upward slash with his enchanted blade attempting to bisect the stirge.

"Go get 'em, Erevan!"Amaris is more than happy to let the elf take the lead against the disgusting stirges. She hangs back and provides ranged support, glad that the bugs nearest to her are no more!
(Ray of Frost against Stirge E: 15 for 1 cold damage!)
Amaris brings an end to the last of the demonic-looking bugs with the frosty spell. Svenya puts her weapons away and looks all of you over. "Everyone okay? Uh... your blood still in your body and all?"

Erevan, seeing Amaris's spell dispatching the last styrge, lowers the blade assesting the situation and after a long moment, sheathes it. "Those creatures were nasty, but fortunately, we were able to dispatch them quickly." "What other creatures do live down here? There are rumours of umber hulks wandering within the sewers." asks Erevan.
- Ugh. Nasty creatures! Luckily not one of them hurt us. Let's hope we don't find any more of those. Nor umber hulks, for that matter.
She listens to Erevan's question and looks at Svenya with interest:
- Good question. If you and your friends are living here, I guess it wouldn't be surprising to find more denizers in the sewers. Any neighbours worth mentioning? Not only monsters, hopefully? Also, is it far to your warren? We should be quick, those wounds need healing!

"No, thank Oghma, none of those disgusting little monsters got me," Amaris says with a shiver as she looks at the bodies of the stirges. "So gross. Let's please just go heal Svenya's friends and get out of here? The whole necromancer business was bad enough, but the sewers wasn't exactly the improvement I had in mind!"

"We have your usual sewer faire, alligators, rats, undead ranging from skeletons to vampire spawn... But umber hulks? I never heard of that... But I guess it's possible they haven't come near the warren."

Perception check result: (I can't spoiler but this is just for Cammy to know) Cammy overhears a distant conversation. It sounds like there is a faint argument about killing someone or sparring them, coming closer to the bride to area b (marked in owlbear) makes the convos clearer and it seems the wererats are talking about killing someone in their custody who "deserves to die for trying to kill our own."

"Vampire spawn you say? I would prefer to avoid meeting them, don't you agree Amaris?" says Erevan to half-elf winking at her in a teasing way. "Anyway, I agree with you, let's heal Svenya's friends and be on our way." continues the elf. Erevan for a moment questions the reasons of being sneaky around Svenya's people, but considering the potential threat of more aggressive monsters or creature, nods to Svenya and hunching down, does his best to move as quietly as possible towards her.
Insight17 on Svenya as she speaks about being sneaky
Caemlyn grins when Erevan mentions the vampire spawn. She then whispers:
- Guys, I here voices having an argument over there - and she points towards area a - Something about sparing or killing someone for hurting their own - she grimaces. Maybe they could help. But if they do, they might not arrive in time to help Svenya's friends - ... but we should probably go ahead to the warren anyway.
When she sees the rest trying to be sneaky, she scratches her head:
- Boy, am I glad to have purchased that mithral half plate. Before I had it, sneaking was almost impossible for me! Here, Amaris, let me help you. I've never understood why this magic does not work on me ...- as she says this, she touches the wizard and suddenly she becomes a little shadowed, which makes it harder to see her in the darkness of the sewers.
(Blessing of the Trickster on Amaris, giving her advantage in stealth checks for an hour. My stealth check is not good, even though I don't have disadvantage: 8)
"Hey! What are you - woah," Amaris whispers as she feels the blessing take effect. "Oh, thanks Cammy. That's helpful. But it is odd that the magic doesn't work on you though. Receiving the ability to confer a magical advantage to a skill that's only useful in certain circumstances is a decent, if somewhat lackluster, boon, but it's downright petty that your god would deny you the ability to cast it on yourself. You should take that complaint to your god's manager. Who is your god, anyway? I imagine Ao would be the manager, but - ohrightsorrysneakingohmygod."
Amaris crouches down and follows her friends, thankful for the blessing of the trickster.
(Highest of the two rolls was a 17+3 = 20. Thanks Cammy!)

"It does not work for you?" whispers back a puzzled Erevan "Gods and Goddesses' blessings work in strange ways sometimes." The elf briefly turns towards Caemlyn and in hushered voice asks her "The voices you heard, do you think that they will be trouble?" As he follows Svenya, Erevan's hand does not leave for a moment the hilt of his sword. The elf focuses his senses as much as possible trying to catch sounds or signs of possible monsters and other hostile creatures.
- Tymora works in mysterious ways, I suppose! It would be great to be able to use it on myself, but I guess it is the job of a cleric to prioritize others above oneself, right? Even a cleric as ... let's say ... average ... as me.
- As for the voices... They are deciding whether to kill or to spare someone. They could definitely mean trouble for that someone. But I'm not sure what may happen if we go there first, instead of going directly to the warren. That could prove deadly for Svenya's people.
"Lady Luck works indeed in mysterious ways." says Erevan. He then shakes his head as Caemlyn reveals what she heard "I do not like that, but you are right. If we delay aiding Svenya's people they could die. Let's press on."
Insight17 on Svenya as she speaks about being sneaky
Svenya seems nervous about her fellow wererats seeing you. Its possible she is worried they will attack you all on sight, but given her demeanor, it's equally likely she is worried about getting caught bringing non-wererats to the warren.
"Tymora blesses you, huh? I had a cousin who had a curse placed on him by a Beshaba worshiper. Made him stub his toe every morning. Are you able to... bless people? I mean, not just with being sneaky, but... being lucky?" Svenya asks as casually as possible. Like she's asking for a friend and not herself.
You all manage to successfully sneak by the wererats thanks to a group average. (lol) You go around a corner and continue forward, following Svenya. Svenya speaks, clearly uncomfortable with total silence, "So, uh, we have to cross that bridge there and then sorta come back the way we came. It's a longer way around, but its the safest way to get everyone there unless some monster shows up... Lately, it's mostly been those gators. They aren't too bad, though, if you just throw them some meat."
Erevan, just barely under the surface, you see a heap of sludge, that seems to be a mixture of muck and dead leaves, moving as a single entity in the sewer just under the wooden bridge.
Erevan gets this free knowledge:
You aren't quite sure, but the way it moves and the fact it has leaves... could it be a [Tooltip Not Found]? You aren't 100% certain, but the odds seem pretty high. If the monster tag doesn't work, you are allowed to read it's statblock PS and make inferences from that. Or you can ask me further questions!

"Cammy, Amaris, Svenya, stop right there, do not get closer to that wooden bridge. There is something moving in the water, I am not completely sure, but considering the environment we are in, it could be a shambling mound." The elf turns to Svenya "Can we find another way to reach your friends? If I am correct and that thing it is indeed a shambling mound, it is better to avoid it. They rarely move from their hunting ground."
"There's a shambler!?" Svenya stopped dead in her tracks, shoulders slumping in defeat. "We could go back... but the others, uh, might not be very happy to see you guys. Or... well, we just need to reach the other side." She points across the sewage river. "I know some of you guys are magical... any magic that could help?"
