Leander, upon looking at the outside of the tower, and once you enter it, you can notice that this tower is something far different from the styles used in Goris. It is made completely of stone, and you can almost sense a military influence on the structure. There are multiple stands of armor visible within the tower and chests that appear to be locked. If you do make your way up the staircase however, you enter into a large, empty room with windows on all sides. You can see miles and miles of farmland extending out across lush rolling hills.
Quay and Araleth, you can hear the sound of footsteps and turning wheels on gravel coming from the nearby trail. They sound as though they're getting closer. However, this tower area is on a hill and you are unable to see completely down the other side, suggesting that if something is there it is at least not in your current fields of view.
Olivier and Agatha, you just hear the gentle sound of the breeze moving through the trees on this beautiful harvest season night.
Leander takes some time to really try and commit this to memory because he'd like to try and sketch it in his book a little later. But, realizing he doesn't have time for that right now, he ascends to the top of the tower and, seeing that it's a great vantage point for the area, does his best to keep an eye out for whatever it is that might be causing a problem.
“I hear something,” Quay whispers to the group on the ground. “I think it’s coming from the other side of the hill. Sounds like people. And a cart, I’m pretty sure.”
Leander, the top floor of the tower is quite dark, only dimly illuminated from the light of the moon. There is a small table in the center of this room with a candle. If you choose to light it, make a Stealth check.
Two horses begin to crest the hill, each being ridden by a male figure. Behind them, a cart is being pulled by what appears to be a burly half-orc. The cart seems to be filled with burlap sacks, upon which a sleeping dwarf sits. They're approaching, closer and closer, on the trail heading into Goris.

Can I see out of the window ok? Ideally I wouldn't want to light the candle to see out, the light would reflect off the windows and make it harder to see out and easier to see in; I would think.
Very good question/observation. Your vision looking outside the window is actually quite good, it is just dark inside the room so if you needed to move around it would be difficult to do.
"Hold on. We don’t even know if they’re the ones we’re looking for. Let’s go talk to them and see what’s their deal. If something’s fishy, we can intervene. What do you think?"
“Yeah, that sounds like a better plan,” Quay says to Olivier. “Maybe if they seem really weird, Araleth can follow after them.” Quay starts to walk towards the group with the cart.
While all this is happening Leander is going to start humming a song to himself up in tower and ritually cast comprehend languages, but if anything abrupt happens he will immediately stop.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Unless anyone has another plan or if anyone else wishes to go talk to those people, Olivier will follow Quay. Once their close enough to the cart and riders, Olivier will wave at them.
"Good evening, sirs. How you doing tonight? Did you just arrive for the festival?"
(Olivier would pay close attention to their reactions and responses for any signs of dishonesty)
Leander, as your concentration deepens you can feel your mind open up, ready to receive all different manners of words. The spell has been cast and is now in effect. As you have been sitting in the tower for a bit now and your eyes have been able to scan over the fields more methodically, please make a Perception check.
The horses slow down as Olivier and Quay approach. You can see that the man closest to you is a human with skin that looks like it has been burned from years in the sun. His hair is dark, flowing just above thin armor. As you watch him sit atop his horse, it seems to be a miracle he has yet to fall off it. He holds a drink in one hand and is swaying from side to side as the horse stops. He raises his drink and looks at Olivier. "Good 'eve to you as well! What a great night it is! May the light of all the--"
"Ahem." A cold dry tone can be heard from the other horse rider. He is a tall, lanky, and pale with long blond hair and seems to be of an elvish nature. He scowls at his compatriot, cutting him off before saying, "Yes. Here for the festival."
Olivier, you cannot quite tell if the human is either very drunk or a bit on the less intelligent side, but he seems to be more or less an open book. You don't sense any deceit from him at the moment. However, it would be fairly easy to tell that the elf is being intentionally short with his answer and seems like he wants to leave as soon as possible.
“Sounds wonderful!” Quay says excitedly. “What are you looking forward to the most? I’m really excited for all of the different foods the farmers are going to have out! Fruits taste so much better fresh from the farm, don’t you think?” While he is talking, Quay almost imperceptibly casts Hunter's Mark on the elf.

I'll leave it dark then and just try to move slowly/carefully.
“Should we, like, sneak up on them?” Quay whispers. “I’m not that good at sneaking, so they’d probably catch us before we got close.”

"Say the word and I'll do it," Araleth whispers back. "They won't see me coming."
