Laineupon seeing the balm doing nothing, recalls the bag Nasha handed to him earlier that he had dismissed. He strikes his palm to his forehead, "How can I be so smart and so stupid at the same time?" he grumbles to himself, then retrieves the bag, showing the compass rose to Nathaniel. "These have to have something to do with each other."
"Indeed, good thinking Mr. Laine." The pale tiefling says, quickly taking some of the polish to use on the leather tag, hoping for a revelation of some kind.
The polish reveals a series of letters and together with the shoe polish tin you have the key to understanding the documents.
There is a deal going down this very night at the Gilded Lily Bookstore here in the upper tier. Ebar Hall is selling the security plans of Heikanar Manse to a Mr. Bochor. The price for the information is 500 gp.
If you rush you can make it in time for the deal. Gavyn knows where it is located.
The pale tiefling eagerly and efficiently decipher the code, realizing they are in a hurry, quickly gathering up all documents holding code, looking around at the others to see if anyone is carrying a backpack or something to stow them away for now while pocketing the shoe polish tin and the leather tag. He then walks over to the window and spreads his bloodred bat-like wings. "A lift down perhaps Ms. Nasha?"He asks the half-elf with a graceful bow and a friendly smile as he discards the idea of trying to airlift either the minotaur or the tortle. "Let's meet up outside the entrance as soon as you can make it." He says to the others.
Nisha opens her backpack and pats it softly, after observing the tiefling look around with the pile of documents in his hands. "The more of these I gather, the better it is for me if things go south," the rogue thinks, secretly very happy with herself. "Well, thank you, Mr Nathaniel", Nisha affirms at his suggestion, satisfied that she wouldn't need to spend her energy climbing down on her own. As Sleek has taught her, if someone else can do the job for you, just let them do it.
She casts one last look at the office, wishing there was more to steal, and then follows Nathaniel.

Kaelen looks at the two options for leaving "Pretty big to go out a window. Laine I'll follow you." he says walking close to the disguised Laine. As they begin heading towards the stairs he just cast Guidance on the both of them in case it was needed.
"Your arms around my neck then...." The pale tiefling says with a mysterious smile, briefly looking into those golden eyes, his hands going firmly to the half-elf's waist. "...just a precaution." He adds, then letting himself fall backwards out the open window, holding the half-elf close, falling quickly towards the street below, only spreading his wings when needed to break the fall, gliding the last bit until they both set their feet on the ground, gracefully turning into walking together as the tiefling swiftly folds his bloodred bat-like wings on his back again. "Fun, isn't it?" He says with a wink after their fast descent onto the street below. "Let's hope the others have no trouble getting out."
Everyone makes it outside one way or another and meet each other again out-front of the bordello. You know you need to get to the Gilded Lily Bookstore as quick as possible.

Indeed, the design on the leather tag is a twin to the one on the shoe polish tin. It is dusty and perhaps it would benefit from some polish.

"Well, we best hurry then."
How do you plan to leave?
Nisha turns to Gavyn, looking very suspiciously at him. "Gavyn, how did you get here?"

Let me clarify Gavyn would know if he was in the room.
As Laine is still disguised as a Courtesan, he could simply escort them back down.
"A drainpipe. I couldn't pay to get upstairs. Right through that room," Gavyn says, pointing in the direction from which he came.
Gavyn heads out the drainpipe window.
"I'm going back down the way I came up, I'm not really built for climbing around the outside of buildings. Meet you all outside."
With that Laine casually makes his way out of the room, down the stairs, and out of the bordello.
