The pale winged tiefling quickly grabs the notebook and, quite reluctantly, checks out the crumpled pile of skin to see if he can determine who it might have been.
Gavyn is getting riled up. "If you know something that could have s...could have helped Miriam and Dartwick, I'll make sure you see the Watch. We can go there right now and they'll hear your confession, you can confess about how you let this happen!"
An elderly man pipes up "Are they dead? Umm. Well, I saw a woman leave heading for the lifts, but she did not look like a person who would kill. She even waved as she went by."
With Gavyn letting his social skills get the better of him, Nisha motions to Kaelen and Laine to get to the back of the building again, away from the prying eyes of the bystanders. She has no desire to go and stop the tortle from talking to the people, despite knowing that this is not the wisest decision, but instead focuses on the more pressing matter at hand: the half-dead gnome carried by the minotaur.
Approaching the wounded gnome man, Nisha studies him carefully, observing his condition to try and discern if he can communicate now that the immediate danger is over.
"Can you talk?" She asks him, trying to discern if he is still in shock or feeling better after the first aid applied by their hero boy.

"Can you descibe this woman? It is important that we find her, she will at least be a witness to what has happened in that bookshop."The pale winged tiefling says as he arrives with the others, his bloodred bat-lik wings neatly folded on his back again. He then uses the magic of his talisman to create a small image of a woman, changing the image as the bystanders hopefully help to describe her, hoping to end up with a good image of her.

"The city of Hupperdook thanks you good sir."The pale tiefling says with a polite bow as he finishes up what he can with the image of the woman, comitting it to memory. He then discreetly tugs at Gavyn to follow him as he joins the others at the back of the building. "We have a lot of leads to go through now I think. Does anyone have a quiet place where we can talk and let the gnome rest?" He asks, keeping a lookout for prying eyes.
As the tiefling and the tortle return and their new asset remains in too strong a shock to talk, the half-elf thinks for a moment.
Nisha shrugs. "We can always go back to the carriage if nothing else comes to mind. But I think we should get moving, with such a big crowd outside, someone is bound to call the guards. I don't really want to have to explain how I ended up with two dead gnomes in the same place."

"Good thinking Ms. Nasha, let's start with getting to our carriage, and perhaps move it somewhere discreet where we won't be interrupted by curious citizens." The pale tiefling says with a nod and a quick smile to the half-elf. If there are no objections he then will proceed and do just that, hoping to go through with his associates what they know so far.
Gavyn reluctantly allows himself to be pulled away, glaring at the citizens for their perceived negligence. Eventually he snaps back to the situation at hand, though. "We should contact Bram," he says.
Kaelen has just been tending to the hurt gnome making sure he stays awake "We should get him medical attention fast, unless one of you has a healing potion. We could take him to the temple."
There is a temple of Moradin. Located in the Upper Tier.
As everyone heads into the carriage you hear a shrill whistle and heavy footsteps. "Freeze, everyone stays where you are." Somone says in authoritative voice. Everyone knows that sound is the Crownsguards in heavy armor and red armband.
The party has a chance to leave as they are focused on the bystanders for now.
Nathaniel tries to use his special tools to open the window.

The windows stay closed.
And when that fails miserably he simply cracks it open with the butt of dagger, enough to reach inside to open it.
Shards of glass rain down and Nathaniel is in the breakroom.

Nathaniel finds a tattoo along the folds of skin located on the left side of its torso. The skin and hair resembles the features of a man.

Reading his body language and condition that is a nope. He will need a rest. A short rest will do.

"Well. Umm she had red hair and long coat. I'd say maybe in her 20's. She was carrying a briefcase." says the elderly man.
The tattoo resembles an old, routed guild of assassins. The Dying Veil. The symbol behind the key and blade was not part of Dying Veil's emblem.
