Gavyn walks through the scented ground floor, soaking in the atmosphere intended to both dazzle and put at ease the clients of the bordello.
"I quite enjoy the music,"he says. "I'm Gavyn, by the way."
The flowery scent he could do without. His nose was for musty books and ink. Tortles are not known for their sense of smell but the stench of the perfumed rooms was too much even for him.
He orders an ale when drink orders are taken, nursing it as he usually does while the others attempt strategy. He looks around for the one called Nasha but she may as well have entirely left.
When the consorts arrive, Gavyn gives them little mind. He is unlikely to find another tortle here and he has no interest in experimenting. Instead, he enjoys the music and his drink, trying to absorb the rules of this alien place.
"Maybe that's the only way you can get up there.." he says back.
He turns his head toward the group of courtesans as they approach, taking a sip of his drink as they introduce themselves. He appears mildly entertained but uninterested. He takes in the details about them however, would make a great form to steal.
The rogue weaves through the throng, moving with a quiet grace and taking in the lively environment of the brothel, her golden eyes scanning the crowd for any hint of intrigue.
Despite all the noise from the conversations around her, the beautiful voice of the singing woman, all the clinking glasses, and terrible pickup lines that grate on her nerves, she maintains a patient vigilance.
With an enviable composure, Nisha listens to the mundane things the people around her have to say. “If I have to endure one more person claiming they'll 'walk by again if someone doesn't believe in love at first sight,' I might just give up and retreat to the guys,” she rolls her eyes as she makes her way around.
Then her ears finally catch something more intriguing - talk of the songstress and her possible relationship with a powerful criminal. Could the singer or her criminal lover be connected to Ebar Hall? The rogue focuses her attention on that last conversation, maybe she can find out more about who is spreading rumours about the lovely songstress.

Nisha sees a man in his 40s who eyes the songstress as he talks to one of the courtesans. "Did you know we have a relationship before he moved and took her from me. She really is a gold digger. Ha, I don't need her in my life." though his eyes tell a different story as he keeps on looking at the songstress. What is love scorned or something?
Gavyn will try to assess the room for who might be answering questions, as in leaning in to listen and nodding or pointing one way or another or even taking money before leaning in to say something into a customer's ear.
"Touché my dear Laine, I'm sure you will find some other way upstairs, just be careful."The pale tiefling quietly says with a friendly smile to the tall man with the purple curls beside him. As the drinks and the courtesans arrive at their table, the pale tiefling gracefully gets up to make sure they all find their places with his new companions, hoping they would at least play along in this charade to not draw unnecessary suspicion to themselves. "I think you know what desires I have my dear Mariel, just let me enjoy this drink first and we can then fulfill them all together upstairs." Nathaniel answers the alluring courtesan, taking her delicate hand to press his lips lightly against them, then taking a sip of his drink and enjoying the music for a while, smiling warmly to Mariel, his slender hand caressing her shoulder while discreetly glancing around to see if anyone would take a particular interest to their table.

As a song ends he leans in closer to Mariel, placing a soft kiss at her neck and then whispering into her ear. "I must admit I have another matter I could use some help with my dear. If one was interested in selling or buying information rumour has it there is someone here to talk to, you wouldn't be able to point me in the right direction my dear Mariel?"
Mariel looks at Nathaniel coyly and leans in to whisper into his ear and says "You can talk to Madam Fiora, or there is that odd gentleman in the VIP room upstairs. He never has any courtesans join him and we are told not to disturb him at anytime."
"I see, what a perfect bore to not find the time to enjoy your pleasant company my dear Mariel. Now this odd gentleman, what could you tell me about him, what does he look like for instance, just so that I don't find myself talking to the wrong odd gentleman." Nathaniel continues his whispers, placing another kiss at Mariel's neck, just to play the part of the customer.
“Can’t say I blame her decision. A girl’s gotta eat,” Nisha thinks to herself as she eavesdrops on the conversation. The guy sounds like a bitter loser, trying to appear nonchalant and miserably failing, but oh well, we are not here to judge. Or perhaps we are…
Nisha focuses more on his speech and body language. (Insight 11)
To Nisha his body language says this is as close he is willing to be to the songstress, but there is fear there as well. Whoever the criminal is scary enough to keep this man from approaching. Perhaps the criminal has eyes here in the bordello.
Mariel whispers "A gnome in his 30s. Always carries a locked satchel. A fine dresser. Now what reward will I get for this information" she has a mischievous look.
"My dear Mariel, when my lucrative business is finished I will spoil you with the finest gown the city can offer, or if there is something else you'd prefer?"The pale tiefling mischievously smiles back at the lovely courtesan. "Have you seen people visiting this gnome then my dear, anyone in particular?" He continues while gently caressing her neck.
Nisha continues to observe the lovelorn man’s body language, noting how he seems to not get any closer to the stage. The guy looks conflicted with emotions, from longing to fear, and that intrigues her.
With a sly grin, the rogue discreetly slips away from the crowd and heads to the bar, looking for a comfortable spot where she could order a drink. A very special drink.

"My dear Mariel, you know you are my favourite and you also know that much of the gold that I have coming will be yours eventually, but in order to gain that gold I still need some more information." The pale tiefling gently presses on. "Unless you prefer me to take my gold and affection elsewhere my dear."
"Well that would rather depend on what kind of thing you had in mind my dear Gavyn, I imagine you have more advanced and specific desires than most."The pale tiefling answers with an amused smile. "Since I'm unfortunately a bit short of funds, this place is not for free after all and practically living here is quite expensive, perhaps you could lend me some gold to loosen the tongue of this lovely girl beside me." He quietly adds to the tortle.
Lainedoes his best to stifle the urge to push away the courtesans as they are settled at the table amongst them. He watches the tiefling brattle on for a bit. He laughs as he threatens to take his gold elsewhere and then not even a few sentences later asks the tortle to lend him some.
It's obvious they need to go upstairs we already knew that much. He looks around for the girl, Nasha, was it? With the disappearing act she's pulled she would be useful getting up there in a few different ways. Perception: 8 But until she shows up again they just have his own plan.
"Let me know when your ready to check on our friend." he says, with a tilt of his head to insinuate their mark.

The sheer number of people, the noise, the alcohol. It is all a bit overwhelming.
Yeah, the crowded room makes it hard to discern what other patrons are doing.

The look on Mariel's face clearly indicates that no gold means no further information. "20gp will do"
