Templeton draws an arrow back. Never liking to draw first blood, he prefers to givectge opportunity to back down. "Best stay on porch, I don't believe running with the big dogs will end well for you. Ready Action shoot the one talking to us if any of them take an attack at us.
"I'll do more than bark," Nari says with a smirk, revealing one of her pointed canines that are more akin to fangs. She takes after Templeton, hands on her swords, ready for any movements these red cloaks decide to take.
"We are the big dogs around here, mister," the talker says to Templeton. "I'd watch my tone if I were you."
"She says she'll do more than bark, Artie," a second ruffian comments. "I wonder what she means by that."
"Why don't you find out, Bobby," a third female ruffian eggs on the second one.
"I'll find out for ya!" a fourth ruffian says as he approaches Nari while drawing his sword. "Let's see what kind of bite you've got." He swings but misses Nari as she dodges and strikes back. Nari's first attack misses but the second one hits.
Templeton shoots at Artie the talker but just barely misses.
Pip turns back into his bear! (2/2 wildshapes used until short rest) and charges into the fray attacking the nearest ruffian with a bite and claw attack:
Mayhew fires off the trademark Eldritch Blast. If Pip attacked the one Nari had already hit, and killed him, Mayhew will target a different ruffian, like the one who made the "big dogs" comment. If they attacked different ones, and they're both still up, Mayhew will target the one engaged with Nari, figuring the bear will probably be just fine.
To hit: 22 and 12 damage. He'll back up to stay away from being engaged, while keeping line of sight to all of them, since EB has crazy range.
Nari weaves through once more, targeting any of the ruffians left standing. ------------------------------------------- To Hit: 13Damage: 7 BA, To Hit: 7Damage: 5
Pip, you notice that Nari has taken care of the female already; so, you bite Artie then claw him and take him down, leaving Bobby to attempt to disengage and flee. Unfortunately, he is not a goblin and is taken down by Mayhew's Eldritch Blast. Templeton's shot misses Artie as he falls to the ground.
Meanwhile, Nari takes out an uncloaked patron of the Sleeping Giant before he can react. The rest of the crowd inside the taproom stares in fear and awe at you and the four dead Redbrand ruffians and one dead potential recruit.
"It's ok, everyone," Mayhew says, raising his hands and forcing a smile, "the danger has passed. We are here to help you. We will rid Phandalin of this scourge."
He turns to Templeton. "How are you, my friend? I can heal you if you need it."
A cheer goes up from some of the patrons of the Sleeping Giant, but several customers are disturbingly quiet.
"Well, that's good," the bartender says as he wipes a spot of blood off of the counter. "I've had enough of those bullies myself."
"Didn't have much trouble taking their money, though," one of the customers remarks angrily.
The barkeep looks down, picks up a ceramic mug and begins wiping it. "You folks care for a drink," he asks, looking at Nari and Mayhew, "or do you have more Redbrand killing to do?"
"That's a kind offer," Mayhew replies. "Perhaps we'll come back after this danger has passed. And I understand," he says to the bartender, though loud enough for all to hear, "that sometimes we must suffer the yoke of evil for a time, when we have no other choice."
