It doesn't take much effort to clear the vines at the door. Right when Rixian enters the house he notices there aren't really any vines growing inside. Leeta scurries in after him. Once inside, they immediately notes the small stretchmarks on the floor leading into the bedroom. All in all, you are both pretty sure there isn't much information to glean from dwelling here. If either of you ventures farther in, and investigates the bedroom, you'll find another rose under the sheet on top of the bed, which quickly turns to dust as soon as the light from the window hits it.
Flying down the path through the trees, Soma spots a midsized patch of vines growing in the middle of the path topped by a single red rose. Other than this, she sees nothing noteworthy.
Once you decide to head into the woods...
You once again get the feeling that they are being watched, though that feeling of animosity is significantly less then when you tried to enter during the night. Every so often you hear a shuffling sound in the trees, and noise of snapping twigs. Though whatever it is stays just on the outside of the group’s vision.
Eventually the path begins to narrow. Whoever is leading the group starts having to bat spider webs off the trail. These webs get thicker and thicker the farther you go. After what seems like hours, the path slowly starts to widen again. Small beams of soft moonlight bleed down from the branches above, dancing along the silky spider’s threads.
Strange, as it should still be morning. One of these beams faintly illuminates a figure up ahead, standing motionless in the center of the path.
Leetashares a slightly disappointed look with Rixian, as they haven't found anything of note in the hut. She shrugs and then smiles slightly while resting a hand on the paladin's forearm as if to say "we'll be luckier next time".
Later, when the party ventures into the forest and they come across the figure standing ahead on their way, the monk decides to be cautions and attempts to hide behind Kullogall's towering height. She doesn't want to show herself to the stranger ... yet. (OOC: stealth 23)
So there's nothing in this house. What a waste of time. Rixi did suspect that there could be something hidden within the dark confinements, but he assumes that this. "Let's get out of here. I see nothing." The paladin scowls almost inaudibly before he kicks the unhinged door open again if it slammed shut.
Walking back towards the path, the random shuffles and snapping of tree branches has caused the half-paranoid genasi to keep his left hand on the weapon hanging on his back. Unbothered by the spider webs, he remain at the back algonside Leeta, but halts with them once they spot the mysterious light glowing in the far distance.
He squints. This unusual light in the darkness could mean anything. Is that a person? A friend or foe? One of his teammates former allies? He has no hunch about this light source, but even so, his grimace remains all the same whilst his armour glows a faint magma red as he stares in the distance.

Mizu shakes his head when Rowaran asks if Soma senses anything, then pauses as if listening to something. Then he says quietly, "A thorny patch, with a rose blooming..." He grits his teeth, "That drow..."He has a bad feeling about this, and is relived when those searching the house return quickly. He is quick to start leading the way down the dark, wooded path. At the feeling of being watched, he pulls out his sabers, ready to attack anything that comes at them. Soon he finds himself using the blades to cut away spiderwebs.
At the sight of the figure up ahead, Mizu grips his sabers tightly, taking on a ready position as he prepares for an attack. The figure might be motionless, but he's not ready to trust his eyes...not after what happened with the phantom Twig.

Regardless of what he sees, if the figure stays where it is, Mizu will begin advancing towards the individual. If Mina started off ahead of him, he'll do his best to stay close to her, aware of the fact that she is of fey blood and... well if the killer got ahold of the drow here in the forest during the daytime, then she is in just as much danger now as she would be walking the streets at night.
(I'll just post, Rowarin can react to both this and the last post at the same time if he wants to lol)
As Kullogal and Rixian stop to examine the figure from a distance, Leeta decides to hide behind them. The figure remains motionless as Kullogal continues to watch it. Tired of playing the waiting game, Mina pushes to the front of the group and starts to advance with Mizu catching up after her. This prompts the rest of you to advance as well.
As she gets closer, Mina is able to confirm her suspicion. His limp body seems to be held up only by the spider webs that cling to him. The webs hold him a so his feet are hanging a couple inches off the ground. He has a large gash in his left arm with several vines growing from it. Blood drips from the wound and each drop that hits the ground gives rise to a budding rose.
Mizu notes all of these things before Mina does, though he also can tell that this is actually Akyan. Not a phantom like Twig was.
Once the two of you are within ten paces of him, his eyes open and he coughs. “Trap” Suddenly he is yanked backwards by the spider webs and disappears into the darkness ahead of you.
Kulogall peers up quickly, looking for a target but cannot see anything in the shadows. “Whaaa….” he says as he reflexively prepares a fire bolt in his hand, but seeing no immediate target, he lets it dissapate.

"Stand fast comrades, we are likely being watched. Does anyone see what took Akyan?"
Leetapeeks from behind Kulogallbarely enough to see Akyan being yanked away and her stance immediately changes to a defensive one. She looks in every possible direction: to the front - following the direction the drow has disappeared into - but also to the branches above them. Not only they are taking away most of the light, but they look like a great hiding spot for any creature trying to gain the upper hand on them.
It's that drow again. But... what happened to him?! Rixi was gonna go ahead and attempt to cut him free, only witness him being dragged into the abyss. "What?! Dare ga imasu ka?! (誰がいますか, Who's there?!)" He yells in panic. Instinctively, he immediately removes his double-bladed weapon and spins it aggressively, though if Leeta was standing directly behind him he would've almost grazed her faced with the blade that was facing at the bottom.
Wait... if these are webs... a light source to lure... then... that means... He gets it now. It then clicks in his mind about what kind of enemy is inside here. He has read about these spiders in Japan. The ones that use string and the natural light to lure prey in... Using deception to convey a false sense of security... The ones that he read to Yurime just because she was peeking over his shoulder seductively...
"I knew it! It's- AH!" Rixi exclaims before he is immediately cut short. All of a sudden, Rixi's chest is enveloped in another burst of pain. This time, he cuffs his mouth with his right hand to avoid screaming like last time, though the same, awful sear spreads through every single part of his body as he doubles over and his silver shifter emblem slowly turns dark again. To top it off, he notices for a brief moment that his teammates are looking everywhere in all directions. Except one...
"Is... anyone... looking above?" He painfully groans as he takes a moment to straighten, look up towards the sky and Grips his glaive with both hands and Lets his two blades ignite in flames. Trigger: If he's correct and something pounces from above, he will lash out and attack first.

However, none of you catch even a glimpse of any potential threat. (None of you can tell exactly what took Akyan. He was being held up like a puppet on strings and yanked backwards by those strings.)
Hesitantly, you all begin to creep warily down the path, towards where the dark elf was dragged off. As you walk, the eerie light continues to seep through the trees. The path continues to widen, eventually opening into a small meadow. Even in the meadow, the trees have a large enough canopy to keep the entire place hidden from the sun, it even blocks out some of the strange moonlight. No light touches the outer rim of the circular clearing, however a single ray illuminates a large pool in the center. Four 12ft stone arches circle the pool, only two of which are still intact.
