(OOC: oops, for some reason I thought the rose just fell on the floor. lol. Didn't mean to snatch it ;D)
Mizu blinks, as if he hadn't been aware he was taking Mina's evidence, "Oh... s...sorry." He frowns, shaking his head. He must have been a little more distracted than he'd thought. Not good. How can he think of facing the dangers ahead if he can't even keep focused on a stupid flower?
He looks at the petals, and then at Leeta when she touches his arm. He very rarely shows much in the way of emotions, so even the slightest shift in expression is an indicator that whatever he is feeling is strong. His eyes show a measure of appreciation, but only Leeta would really be able to tell.
Wordlessly, he looks down at the petals in his hand, then walks over to Rowanin after asking his questions. "Such magic is not my strong suit." He says quietly, then holds the petals out for the aasimar. "I... am not sure if these will be useful down the road, but seems how you are the most experienced with magic, I would assume they would be more useful in your hands... if at all." He sounds slightly skeptical as he tilts his head, eyeing the petals. Were they really worth keeping?
He waits patiently to see if Mina's spell is useful, though, he spares Rixian an odd glance when the paladin tries to intimidate the blacksmith. Hadn't the man already been through enough? A couple things he could say sprung to mind, but they would probably not be very useful at the moment. The paladin seems touchy, and Mizu respects that even if he doesn't understand why.
"Is this some kind of joke?!" Yarrow exclaims when Mizu holds up the roses. "Of course there's nothing in your hand." He spins to look at the wizard, who starts trying to guide him to a place to sit down. Holding up his hands, he backs away from the aasimar, "What?! No! I'm fine!" He glances back at Rixi, "Again with the roses?!" He's starting to feel cornered, he'd back away if not for the still hot furnace behind him. He glances between the genasi and Mina as the sea elf starts to circle him. "I thought you all were here to help! Instead you're acting like I'm crazy, and now your accusing me of hiding something?! I've told you everything!"His voice is a mixture of pain and anger. "William was my Teacher, my Master! There are things about this trade that I will never learn if someone doesn't find him."His voice cracks, and he dodges as Mina tries to lay a hand on him. "Don't touch me." He says then raises himself to his full height and clenches his fists, "If you are just going to keep trying to mess with me, then you all need to get out." He gives you all a level look.
(Leeta is to distracted with how oblivious Yarrow seems to be. She cannot determine if the red liquid is truly blood, or just dark sap. From what she can tell, Yarrow has been completely honest with you all.)
(While he wasn't intimidated, he definitely could tell Rixi was trying to intimidate him. That said, he's rapidly losing trust in all of you and certainly doesn't want Mina casting any spells on him.)
(Feel free to try to reason with him...or not...tis up to you....)

Mizu lets out a breath, of course this would happen, "Sir, it appears that you are under some sort of enchantment. Forgive us if it seems we are accusing you. We aren't."His eyes flick towards Rixian momentarily before he continues, "If you wish us to leave, we will, but I think that would be a mistake. I was not trying to... make a joke... by asking if you could see the rose. I was attempting to see if it being cut changed anything. Apparently it didn't."He pauses, eyeing the crack in the wall, "Whatever or whoever cast the spell made it to where you are the only one who can't see it... unless that's not true... I wonder if someone else from the village would be able to see it or if it is really just him..." The last few words are more a personal question, as he seems to drift away from the current situation for a moment, wondering... Shaking his head, he refocuses on the half-orc, "Please, just let Mina use her spell. It won't harm you, she just wants to try and get rid of that enchantment."

Mina didn't notice Yarrow's demeanor until he ordered her not to touch him. She pulls back and looks at the others, unsure how to proceed now. Lowering her hands and then twiddling with her pack on her side, she moves around so the man can see her, "I'm sorry, I was just trying to help."
"Is this some kind of joke?!" Yarrow exclaims when Mizu holds up the roses. "Of course there's nothing in your hand." Rixi reels back a little when he realises he took it a little too far; Scaring him was not his intention all this time, so he attempt to correct what he meant to him as he bows again. "Um... Gomen nasai (ごめん なさい)- I-I-I mean... Sorry... Yarrow. I wasn't trying to scare you or anything but I noticed you were um... you started becoming really agitated and I thought I had to step up my game too... Forgot to mention that whenever I feel that someone is restless and unstable, I immediately become warped by their feelings and start talking back in the same manner; I'm very sensitive when comes to this so uh... I'm sorry if I scared you. I didn't mean too. And if you say that you don't have anything, I'll believe that your word are honest and sincere. Unless I find otherwise. But I have no intentions of harming you any further I promise." He rubs his flaming wrists together. "But um... It seems that the others... they've noticed that... you uh... there's some enchantment magic warped around your head. Like a... cloud or some sort. You just can't see it." He gestures to Mina without making eye contact with her. "I can't do anything about it but it seems that she can help remove it for you, so please cooperate with her. I don't want to get on your bad side either, as much as you don't want to get on mine."
Rowarin watches as the scene unfolds. Yarrow being on the defensive and acting like he knows nothing more. Could it be a ruse? No, he seems genuine... Rowarin ponders.
"Please relax, we are not trying to make you feel more frightened than you probably are. We are only trying to help find William."
Rowarin sees Mina attempting to cast a spell. Whilst Yarrow is distracted, Rowarin would like to attempt Detect Thoughts - perhaps there is some thought in the back of Yarrows mind that he can't speak if he is truly bewitched. (Wisdom Saving Throw DC15)
Kulogall stands and crosses his arms, watching to see how this plays out. “Fascinating. Some sort of enchantment, I have no idea what this is, or how it is affecting you, but it is clear that it is.” He seems to be trying to reconcile Yarrow’s behavior with the enchantment and the rose, but really coming up with nothing.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
"E-enchantment?" Yarrow looks at Mizu, then glances back at Mina as he listens to Rixian's speech. Then he looks back at the two genasi, and sighs. They seem to be genuine. He nods to Mina, "No, I'm sorry. I'm just on edge over all of this. If there really is some spell fogging up my brain, then the only thing that can get rid of it is more magic i guess. Go ahead and cast your spell." He closes his eyes as if bracing himself.
Kulogall ponders this curious enchantment, but is unable to think of any spells that could trigger such a result.
Focusing in on the half-orc's thoughts, Rowarin picks up a few thoughts.
"Am I really enchanted? If I am, then am I even remembering events properly? Am I the only one? Is that why no one can seem to agree on what's going on around here?"
Once Mina casts her spell, there isn't any immediate reaction...
(Here's what Soma finds. Sorry about that.)
Though out this encounter, Soma continues her skyborn scouting, the sun continues to sink below the horizon. At this point, there are only a few traces of red left in the evening sky. For a while, the bird spots nothing of interest. However, she does catch sight of that dirty red-haired girl sneaking her way towards the edge of town.
As the other's deal with Yarrow, the halfling exits the house. The first thing she does is take a quick look for Soma, to whom she'll whistle as if to greet her. But knowing she is busy watching the surroundings, the monk bothers the bird no more. So she heads to the same wall where they've seen the bloody rose to check if the roots are visible from the outside.
She'll also take a quick look around the house, just in case she notice's anything of interest, like footprints or such. Then Leeta wil head inside again.
Mizu instructs Soma to follow the red haired girl, hoping that the venture won't take the hawk too far from the 100ft range that limited their communication. He tells her to return if the girl goes too far, or if the girl stops. Perhaps they can track her down if she seems to have a hideout somewhere beyond the village borders.
He spares Leeta a glance as she exits the building, trusting that she knows what she is doing. While she does that, he will stay and see what happens when Mina casts her spell. At this point, he's wondering if it is even worth it to continue asking questions, or if they should just move on in search of more roses elsewhere. Hopefully they can get some other useful answers out of this blacksmith, especially considering that darkness is on its way.
If soma sees Leeta, she will let out a shrill cry in response to the halfling's whistle. Clearly she would rather come and perch on her friends shoulder, but she must obey Mizu's request to follow the red-haired half-elf.
“Maybe we all need to step outside, for some fresh air. Perhaps the longer exposure, inside to this rose and vine, or some other magic can cause disorientation, confusion, enchantment…”. Kulogall looks out any window and he opens the door, casting gust for a good cross breeze.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Exiting the smithy, Leeta makes her way around the house to where she believes the rose roots may be. Examining the base of the building and the cobble street, she finds a few displaced stones and some hairline cracks in the foundation. Other than that, it appears that the roots have traveled below the surface.
Soma follows the girl for a good while, however she eventually hits the end of the telepathic range. She circles in the air for a few moments, watching the girl's direction and taking in the location. The few blocks on the outskirts of the town look to have been completely abandoned, and this is the area that the girl has headed.
"I don't feel any different."Yarrow says looking between the remaining party members. Then he wrinkles his nose and leans over to look where the group had found the flower. His eyes widen. "W-well, it seems you weren't lying."He rubs his forehead. "And yes, that is exactly the sent I smelled the day William vanished." He shakes his head in disbelief, "Even if I was enchanted...h-how did no one else notice this? Could the whole village...." He trails off, clearly at a loss for words. "I-I think I should burn that thing. I don't think leaving it here is a good idea."
"This doesn't sound good. If you're saying that this flower can mask that person's killing intents via an illusion, enchantment or something like that, this might have been a tool to eliminate one of the victim's five senses. I assume this rose was used to mess with his sense two of his senses. I mean, the first obvious one is smell, seeing that whatever this flower gave off must be so strong to mask the actual blood itself so that the victim doesn't notice. If you and Will didn't notice it, something else must have been blocked too, and I assume it's either hearing or sight." Rixi theorizes; He kind of knows what this spell does; He has met people who silently assassinated people whilst removing at least one of the five senses to mask the entire background behind the scenes; In fact one of his former teammates, whilst not an assassin himself specializes in messing his victims like that in a similar fashion, except he uses more brutal methods such as poison. In the meanwhile, he takes a moment to hold the flower in his ash hands and sniffs it for a moment, before lightly placing it in his pocket. "Besides, I doubt burning it would do anything else other than remove what I consider our evidence. And yeah, maybe standing outside might help clear our mind a little if it helps. You don't want to stay confined all the time in here do you?" He then eyes at the cracks in the wall, thinking that there's more than meets the eye beneath before he turns back and heads outside the shed. Noticing Leeta pace outside the house and examines not just the cracks but also the roots too.
What if I burn the stem of the plant itself? Would that do anything harmful? Or should I just tear down that wall first just in case? He thinks to himself as he walks up to the cracks where the roots protrude like sore thumbs before he walks back to ask Yarrow; He's running out of ideas or things to draw conclusions from, and this might be the last one he could think of for now. "Uh... if you don't mind, can I like... break down the section of the wall that the flower was entangling itself in? I feel like this simple act might be hiding something deeper deep within where it's settled."

Mizu glances at Rixian, but then turns his attention to the ground in front of Yarrow, "I don't think this was an attempt to mask a killer's intent. More like... cover up the evidence. Perhaps we should see if everyone in the village has this...enchantment around them, or if it is just those closest to the victims."He nods to the remains of the flower, "Keep the flower itself, we can use that to determine who can see it and who can't, but I do think that getting rid of the plant is a good idea." He frowns slightly at the notion of breaking down the wall, "...I don't see how that is nessisary, but if there is the potential that this plant is connected to others underground..." He trails off, eyeing the where the plant comes out of the wall.
If the plant is connected to something larger under the village, then killing just this part of it might not do anything at all. However, leaving it be wouldn't be helpful either, "I say burn it. Let the fire travel down the vine and we will see if there are any effects later on." Fire can travel a long distance underground, especially if the temperatures are high, so perhaps they could burn away the bigger part of the problem--which would be much easier than trying to dig to see if there is anything down there.
Moving to Leeta, he says, "Soma located the urchin. Perhaps we should investigate that before nightfall." He hesitates, "I don't think that we will have enough time to investigate the fairy's house today, but I'd rather not leave that girl out there on her own." If she was not of fey heritage, his feelings might be different. Clearly the girl has no interest in being followed, going so far as to mislead them in the house earlier. However, if something happened to her... well he'd feel responsible.
He looks to the rest of his comrades, waiting to see what they want to do. Burn the plant? Let it be? As further questions? At this point, Mizu doesn't know what else to do, aside from move on. He turns to Yarrow, "Let us know if... the enchantment returns. It seems that all it does is make the plant and other evidence nonexistent for you." If he still has a petal, he places it on whatever table is closest. "Put this in a jar or something, and if you find the jar empty, assume the enchantment is back and find one of us." He looks to Rowarin, as if asking if this was a sensical decision. He knows something of magic, but is no wizard, so he feels it best to double check his assessment on this.
Mina smiles, happy her spell has broken Yarrow of the enchantment. As she listens to the others, her smile turns into a frown. "I don't think burning is a good idea. Fires can get out of hand and I sure don't want to babysit a fire with these disappearances going on."
"It would be good to see if anyone else is enchanted and maybe find this girl?"
Leeta goes back to the house pouting a little, frustrated because she doesn't seem to find any evidence of interest in the house. Her companions were the ones finding everything. Damn, even Soma had been luckier than her! With the frustration still showing, she answered Mizu:
- Yes, good idea. I hope we are able to reach her this time.
To Mina she says:
- Hmmm, the inkeeper's wife was missing right? We could check if there's a rose at the StoneDog when we go there to rest for the night.
Then she asks in general:
- So: red haired girl first, then StoneDog? In the inn we need to speak to Cassian Crossheart, and then look for a rose. Is that it? It's getting late, so I guess we shouldn' add anymore to our pile of tasks for today.
Yarrow's eyes widen again at Rixian's suggestion of breaking down the wall, which also serves as the wall to the house which this smithy is built off of. "NO! Please do not do that! I don't even have the right to say yes to that! This is William's house, and even if she's staying somewhere else right now, his wife is still in town! I cannot allow you to destroy their home even for this... evidence!" He grabs one of the tools off of the wall and puts the end of it into the furnace, then he pumps some air into it to heat it up. The tool looked a lot like a branding iron used on cattle. "You don't need to worry about my burning the place down. There's a reason the floor and that wall are made of stone." He says to Mina, then pulls the iron out of the fire, "I still think I should burn it, but I won't if you can think of another way to use it without destroying my Master's house."
He nods to Mizu at the suggestion of leaving the petals in a jar. "That's fine with me. I'll keep it on my work bench. I can also let you know if any of my costumers can or can't see the thing. You're staying at the Stonedog right?"

Perhaps we should see if everyone in the village has this...enchantment around them, or if it is just those closest to the victims." He nods to the remains of the flower, "Keep the flower itself, we can use that to determine who can see it and who can't, but I do think that getting rid of the plant is a good idea." He frowns slightly at the notion of breaking down the wall, "...I don't see how that is nessisary, but if there is the potential that this plant is connected to others underground..." He trails off, eyeing the where the plant comes out of the wall.
