"I'm told that the attack was carried out by a group of nobodies called the Felicisma Armada. Morell didn't know much about them, but from what Velvet told me about the battle, it sounded like they were more than just common crooks."

"Imagine, a huge shining dome covering the Bazaar, where most of defenseless gathered. Thayans did that, to all of our surprise. Fire roaring as it engulfed raider ships, lightning cracking through the air. The fallen warriors rising to take their revenge on attackers and then slipping back, now peacefully, in eternal slumber. It wasn't just wizards, of course. I remember a few fiends, chasing scared pirates. I recall thinking for the moment one of them was my mom," she chuckled. "I remember the song of the traveling bards that filled city guard with new strength. Even clergy participated," she nodded to a man sitting in the corner."
"Yes, he may be one of Sharess own and a whore, but when push came to shove, he packed a mean divine punch. I'm sorry, I'm talking like it was all mages," she smiled apologetically. And nodded her head again, this time to a dark-skinned woman with amber eyes. "They were fewer than I make it sound. The bulk of city's forces was guards, like Morell over there, plus a few mercenary companies city hastily employed. You are looking at the Nyits hero. None slew more pirates than she did that night. But none of the others have produced quite the same effect."
I don't know. It just seemed to me like you wouldn't need to throw all this at a bunch of run-of-the-mill crooks.

Violetstudies another part of her book on how money might enhance the success rate of negotiations and moves up to the barkeep. "Hi there. Look, I'm not to harass you, so tell me if I should stop, but here is something for your trouble." She slides over a gold coin.
"We are all new this town, but my friend over there really needs to find someone. We have no ill intentions but are lost as where to begin. So now I'm desperate looking for clues as where to start. Do you know anyone who can help us or can you point us in the right direction? If your tipps prove successful I will make it worth your time. Is there something like a diviners guild, some sort of registry or anything in this town?"
Pictlooks around the Brothel, clearly out of his element. He hasn't ever seen or experienced anything like this, not in the small forest village where he lived most of his life, and he doesn't quite understand the fascination poured into the scantily clad men and women sashaying around the floor.
In the Wilds and in small towns, Pictfelt at ease, but in a crowded, chaotic place like this, he couldn't help but feel a little lost. The moment passes, however, and he stands up with a new, but weary, resolve.
He approaches a waitress in this section, and has an idea that may help him achieve his goals. "Excuse me, miss. I don't mean to bother ye, but do ye know who the most popular workin' girl is at this establishment?"
Sarcasticfury, I can see how that could be misleading. But it was meant to point your attention towards the city itself, not pirates. But I can work with that.
Ander looks puzzled.
"Well, we don't know much about them, to be honest. Their assault was the only time we confronted them on land. They harass ships that come here occasionally, and we know they work with smugglers rather often, but even if they come here, they don't brag about it. Armada is not an organized group, they're a bunch of pirate vessels who band together once in a while. Will that be all?"
Meanwhile, Madame slides the coin somewhere in the folds of her dress.
"Well... most people who live here make their living off trade," she starts. "It would only be natural to check out the Bazaar. But it's a large and crowded place, you'd have to know who you're looking for. Brennan is not exactly rare name in these parts. If he's a sea-fearer of some sort, port would be a place to search, but again, there's too many people."
Waitress stops and looks and Pict, judging silently.
"That would be Idunna," she points to an half-elven woman at the bar. "She seems to be free now."
Looking at her, you understand why she is popular. Idunna is of mixed descent, her human parent is clearly of the easter folk. Combined with elven heritage, it produced a tawny-skinned, owl-eyed beauty people of this region idolized. Idunna sips her wine and keeps up a casual conversation with a barman.
"One more thing. A friend of mine is looking for a man named Brennan. He's got tattoos on his arms and lives in this city. Do you know where I can find him or anyone that knows anything about him?"

"Your friend has already asked me," Velvet rolled her eyes. "I do not know anyone by that name, and at this point, nor do I wish to."
Meanwhile, Ander continued talking to Dragonborn.
"No, two more things, actually. Yes, I know someone fitting that description - we got our tattoos at the same time. That will cost you 5 gold. Unless you think the information is worth more - I will not object."
He smiles, gently and disarmingly, and you suddenly realize that yes, in fact, this information has been helpful. And he's the first one to have any since you entered Nyit. And that you actually want to see this smile at least once more.
Ander is a sensate of Sharess, he is... persuasive, preternaturally so.
Ander rolls Persuasion 26, Crassus has to make a charisma saving throw. If he succeeds, he pays 10 GP for Ander to tell him what he knows. If he fails saving throw, he pays twice that amount. Of course, since persuasion is not mind control, there's an option of walking away empty-handed, but with wallet intact.
Crassus takes out his wallet and gives whore-priest 20 gold. Ander smiles.
"The man you're looking for runs a shop on the Bazaar. It's called "Thousand trifles". It sells small enchantments, ingredients, magical trinkets and the best potions you can find in the city. It's on the west side of Bazaar Plaza, you can't miss it."
Will you want to update you equipment or something? I mostly concerns Violet as she is the loaded one, and Crassus a bit. Others should have 2 GPs each, not much of a sum.
"I want information about the attack that happened on this town a while back. Nothing more, nothing less."

Ander looks at you with almost a pity.
"Your loss, then. What do you wish to know? I should warn you in advance, however, that my charity is at an end."
