Fa'ame, helplessly curious, studies and searches the shelves for anything that looks like it might pique her interest.
As she looks, she wanders aloud, "So... Once we have this audience, what are we to do to get the hag to do as we wish...",
...but then she stops, turns to the others, a wide-eyed excited look on her face as she remembers something."Widdershins. The bunny bandit we saw at the traveling inn said something about a weakness for widdershins... Do any of you remeber that?"

"Yes. Something about spinning right?"Moneo says quietly, adding, "Let's start slow, but I have a feeling we'll need that. Hags aren't exactly known to be the most cooperative..."
She's hesitant about crawling up the creepy ladder at first, but upon reaching the top, Eliaanore's immediately smitten with the various baubles and oddities spread throughout the room. Considering the wisps that came out of the last well they'd seen, she's wary of the one in the center of the room. She begins glancing about, looking for any sign of the cabin's... "occupants."
As she continues to search the room for anything useful or interesting... Fa'ame adds, "You want me to take a little looksie as a scout?" She huches over and wiggles her fingers. "I could turn myself into a little spider to crawl through cracks. I'm sure I wouldn't go amiss in here."

There is no reply and you don't see any other occupants in this room. Seven humanoid-shaped dressing dummies stand in corner—four of Medium size and three of Small size. Six of them are adorned with shoddy, home-stitched garments. The other one is bare except for an ugly, black pointed hat.
Eliaanore only shrugs. "Do not look to me. I do not know how I do half of what I do." She doesn't mention that the hat gives her apprehension, but she assumes the others feel the same.
“No, though some time to study it might be enough. Though we shouldn’t mess with anything until we are able to negotiate.”He then adds more quietly, “Remember, we are here to find information about Zybilna. That alone might be a challenge…”
Correct me if I am wrong, but currently we have only had people looking around. No one has touched anything (apart from the floor), and no one has left this room.
"Uhh you guys are pretty open to talk about things as if this room doesn't have ears and eyes." Barreknar wanders around the room. "Best way to find a magical item is to try it out right?"
Walking up the staircase (no map update right now due to time constraints and not a massive change) you reach a hallway. The walls of this dank hallway are covered with scores of portraits depicting grumpy, sad, frightened, and angry people. The figures include humans, elves, halflings, bullywugs, and goblins, among others. The portraits are rendered in a variety of mediums, including paintings, etchings, and sketches. All are displayed in gaudy, gilded frames. A framed oval mirror two feet wide and five feet tall hangs in the middle of one wall.
There are 3 doors from this corridor. One on your left (above the edge of the pool on the level below), and the other two opposite each other on the left end of the corridor.
Two creatures are having a conversation over tea in the middle of this room. The first figure is seated in a timeworn armchair. She is a tall, lean woman of gray complexion, dressed in black with a wide-brimmed hat obscuring her eyes. The other figure is a toad-like creature with bulging eyes and cracked skin. It is clad in a shapeless garment and sits on one end of a love seat with its legs pulled up beneath it. Flies flit into and out of its mouth, which hangs agape when it isn’t speaking. Two tiny versions of the creature cling to it like pets.
The room is filthy. Dirty dishes and bits of discarded food lie everywhere. The furniture was perhaps once of fine quality, but now stains of mysterious origin mottle every surface, and the upholstery has been patched numerous times. Set with its back to the wall in one corner is a hulking wooden cabinet. Sturdy legs support the bottom of the cabinet six inches above the floor. A decrepit wooden staircase climbs up the wall in another corner. (on the map below I have marked the stairs on both floors with an orange dot to show how they sit relative to each other)
The moment she realizes the room is occupied, Fa'ame immediately backs out of the room, flattens herself against the wall and attempts to hide, hoping she hasn't yet been seen...

Moneo, on the other hand, looks to the inhabitants and says, “Ah! We seem to have disturbed your… tea? We are looking for the, uh, lady of the house. Might you know where to find her?”
Barreknar looks up the stairs, "Uhh maybe whoever your talking to knows about the hat down here." He stares at it intently as if he will see a magic aura it to know if uts magical or not. He has no way to know, but feels people can tell by looking at most things so he us trying really hard.
Eliaanore says nothing, waiting to see if the two at the door survive the initial encounter. She's ready to run, if need be, though she'd rather not...

After joining more my signature got out of hand so I am now a proud member of the extended signature club!! :)
Fa'ame approaches the pointed hat and studies it... "Do any of you have the ability to recognize magical items when you encounter them?"

(That's correct for Fa'ame.)
"Well... We certainly aren't going to find her standing around here."
And with that, she begins walking up the spiral staircase.

Fa'ame reaches the top of the steps, counts "Eeny, meeny, miny, moe" then points to the door on the left, looking to her companions for any objections.

Eliaanore steps behind Barreknar, and offers a silent hand signal of affirmation.
“As good a choice as any,” Moneo says, heading for the door that Fa’ame picked out.
