The water is strangely tingly. You realise it's must be a bit acidic. You think back and you are aware of gelatinous creatures that are highly acidic, and it stands to reason that if one if them was submerged in say, a well, it might stop (or highly delay) water coming in, and also make the water it is in a bit acidic. With the quantity of water there is, it's unlikely to be harmful, just the slight tingle you feel
"Oh %$#&! There's a &*%☆ slime creature in the $#!€☆&% well!"
Her mouth is making itself known as she plods over to the mouth of the well, a consequence of once more getting her already ragged dress filthier and more tattered. It stands reason, however, that she has no clue how she plans to deal with this creature.
Blast it all, she can't see! It's not about the dark, either. She just can't tell where the &^%#$*¤ slime might be. She has the means to cast Light, which could reflect the creature's surface, but would that really work? She'd need to drop something in... ah, yeah, that'd do. Eliaanore reaches behind her, removing one of her river stones that she'd collected earlier from her satchel.
Chanting the right words, she gently taps the stone, it's surface glowing bright green in response. Hovering her hand over the mouth of the well, she lets the stone drop and peers in after, hoping to see how deep the creature might be...
Fa'ame, still in panther form, arches her back and yawns. She curls up, lays down and rests her head on her paws, purring serenely as she watches Eliaanore struggling with the pool.

The eladrin glances back, more than a little peeved. "Not to be the bearer of bad news, but I've no way to fux this." She eyes the sleepy Druid. "Perhaps a fellow magic user might...?"
Barreknar looks slightly confused by the falling motion of the rock, "Uhhhh... maybe something bigger fall like it's supposed too." Barreknar will lite one of his torches and drop it in.
There is still water in the well that is visible. Would Barreknar still do that? In which case, it just extinguishes straight away, and after the first initial faster fall, you notice the cloth on the torch that burns slowly dissolving
While the others debate what to do, Fa'ame stretches one last time and stands. Bored with the chore, she decides instead to pad her way back upstairs to continue exploring.

Peering in once more, Eliaanore has a thought. It's... it's little more than a long shot, but without a lead, this hag's deal is as good as any. She turns to the towering orc beside her.
"Hey, big guy. I'm going to-- well, if the creature stuck inside is at last pried loose, be ready to fight."
With that, she leans forward and peers into the void. Aiming just past where everything seems to fall slower, she offers a quick prayer to no one in particular and weaves her hands to the correct pattern, her goal being to freeze the water beneath the trapped amoeboid.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The creature was not stuck. It was quite happily sat there. It does not take kindly to ice pushed up against it however so it does emerge and go to attack the one who disturbed it.
No one is surprised by this so initiative is started. This happens as Fa'ame leaves and so she is aware and able to join if she wishes. If not, she can describe where she explores based on the map.

The handaxe hits, slicing through the cube. The jelly like substance fills the hole in again as it reforms its shape, but you can still see where the tear happened. If this thing had eyes, it would be glaring at Barr currently
As the sounds of battle fade behind her, Fa'ame continues padding her way up the steps, sniffing around, trying to identify the scent of the scarecrow in hopes of locating its missing head. Unfortunately, the swampy muck makes it difficult for her to do so. (Perception: 9)
Instead, she boldly makes her way back towards the hag's room to listen in at the door... (Stealth: 20, Perception: 17)

Eliaanore is less than pleased by this.

You reach the mouth of the well, peer in, and see nothing

You don't see the slime anywhere still. But you do see after around 10ft the stone falls slower, and then picks up pace again after a bit longer

"See, looks better already!"
"What about the housecat? Would she have ideas?" says the Eladrin. "Or is she planning to sleep on it...?"
She's less irate, more puzzled, by the predicament.
In response, Fa'ame simply opens her mouth for a big feline yaw and stretches out her paws, scratching the ground a bit.

Barreknar draws a handaxe instead of the morning star and makes a swing at the blob.
Attack: 14 to hit, damage 6 slashing damage.
Wanting to give the others a chance to back away from the creature Barreknar will stay close to it this turn.
