The tiefling very nearly jumps out of his skin again. But he recovers quickly.
"Well... um... sir?" Herbert says, doing his best to figure out what he should be looking at while speaking to this invisible entity. "Milord does have a museum of sorts, if you wish to see it... though I am fairly certain that he is well aware of any magical properties that his collection may have. I would prefer if you speak to the master of the house first before going to see the display."
It isn't hard for Delvindra to find Herbert if she wants to chat. Just follow the hysterical laughter of the invisible dragonborn.
"Would you take me to the master of the house then?"
1) Duwamilly has a grand old time with her fellow clerics of Garl Glittergold... the laughter is probably loud enough to hear in the city! 2) You get a lot of sympathy, but none of the other gnomes have the slightest idea what to do. 3) Most of the gnomes have no idea who Firion is, nor do they know anything about The One Who Sleeps... but as soon as it is explained to them their demeanor immediately gets a LOT more serious. But one elderly gnome coughs loudly...
"Mister Firion... I actually knew the man for a time," the gnome says tiredly, drawing everyone's attention. "He is the seventh son of the late King Guoren from the country of Ustrad. You probably haven't heard of such a small country, most people haven't. I was for a time part of his father's court... but I always had the sense that the prince wasn't satisfied with his station in life as a prince of some tiny country no one has ever heard of. I tried to warn the king that I suspected his son was up to something dark, but he wouldn't hear it and... well... you can probably guess how that turned out. Suffice it to say that Mr. Firion is now the king of Ustrad and neither his father nor six brothers are in any position to say anything regarding that turn of events. Unfortunately, as I expected, his ambitions haven't stopped at ruling Ustrad with an iron fist. It seems that he believes this 'One Who Sleeps' is what he needs in order to see his loftiest ambitions realized..."
4) The realization that you are going to see a lich brings some rather shocked exclamations from the fellow clerics... but... the general consensus seems to be that if he hasn't made a nuisance of himself by trying to take over the world, then he probably isn't bad for a lich. Especially after hearing that he has a long-standing rivalry with Lolth. That being said... the clerics of Garl Glittergold don't seem to know much about Lord Akkron. A few may have heard in passing of a powerful lich who rules a ghost city (in the most literal sense) located in the Sea of Swords, but only the typical mariner's tales that only confirm what you have already heard. Though... the fact that these mariners' tales exist does say one interesting thing: it appears that Lord Akkron is willing to let people leave his realm alive rather than add them to the undead inhabitants of the Shaded Isle. That is rather comforting.
Upon returning to Sir Charles's home, Duwamilly proceeds to fall upon the nobleman's tomes... and finds some rather interesting information in one of the dusty old tomes...
1) You discover that the One Who Sleeps was an ancient black dragon named Sserah Nightsbane
2) In the story, you find a list of the seven heroes who were called by the gods to imprison the monster... one name sticks out - Matic Akkron, Chosen of Boccob. Next to the text, there is a portrait of a very much living wizard-king:
The text states that Matic Akkron was called by Boccob after the wizard experienced a terrible betrayal at the hands of one of Lolth's servants. There is no mention of a daughter... but a cold chill runs down Milly's spine as she reads that the wizard was tricked into marrying a Drow spy. It doesn't take divine insight to piece together who bore Lord Akkron's child... and, if the tale in the book is true, who very well may have killed the girl as well.
Sorry to keep waffling back and forth on you. Here's a quick summary of the things she might do in priority order.
1) If she finds out what Cal has planned she will absolutely tag along to help dispense some righteous justice for reasons that most definitely have nothing to do with the Nine Hells.
2) If she doesn't know what Cal's up to, she'll want to talk to Herbert. She'll try and, as inoffensively as possible, hint around about his parentage. Based on her understanding of her own past, she'll assume that one of his parents was a human and the other one...was not. If he implies anything that supports her belief she'll try and probe him about his relationship with that other parent.
3) If possible, she'll also invite herself along to explore the city with Yasmina. She'll spend part of that time taking in the sites (especially any performers they find) and the rest shopping for a new outfit. Something comfortable, flowing, and pretty.
...Upon returning to Sir Charles's home, Duwamilly proceeds to fall upon the nobleman's tomes... and finds some rather interesting information in one of the dusty old tomes...
"Poor Matic..." Duwamilly sighs, at the end of his search in the archives "Truly a story that deserves to be cheered up a little..."
'That's why you're sending me there, Garl, isn't it?' the gnome cleric muses as she returns to her room to prepare for the evening 'It's not just a question of how much I need him, to undo this stupid curse and laugh at Mister Scrooge... It's also a question of Lord Akkron having need you - and for a long time, probably. I'm really amused by your choice to send me, one of your least experienced faithful... I bet you do it because you like the irony of it all - helping an individual of that caliber and at the same time averting a catastrophe of immense proportions by simply sending me, the faithful who most recently discovered the fun and beauty of living for you! It's just like you! Can't wait to sail away! Just keep helping me, okay, Garl? Grant me but a fraction of thy wit. It is all one could need'.
(Was hoping to learn more from the cousins at the dinner table but moving along in the meantime. :-)
If Yasmina catches wind of Cal's plans to go out and hunt criminals she would strongly advice against it as it could jeopardize the mission in her opinion. If Cal insists she would definitely come along to do what she can to make him stay out of trouble.
Otherwise Yasmina would spend the day in Tormere mainly at the market places, shops and boutiques, eating well at some nice restaurant in the company of those who would care to join her, hoping to have a relaxing and entertaining day before sailing off from civilization to the haunted island of the lich. Depending on who she meets she would ask if there is any scholars in Tormere that could be consulted on what she will be facing ahead. If Delvindra comes along, the red-haired half-elf is at first surprised but then more than happy to have her company, gladly helping the tiefling to find something pretty to wear, encouraging her to spoil herself and enjoy life when she can, life is hard enough as it is, particularly for those with great curses on them.
Well, whether he announces it or not, there are a few wanted posters in the town square that may catch Cal's attention... arguably the most notable being a crime boss named Thorne Redwood. Others you could go after include the brutish serial killer Jack Redstain or the mistress of poison Leora Hemlock. There are other criminals on the wanted list, but most of them committed petty crimes that are not worthy of death.

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
Mostly just servants' quarters, a couple kitchens and dining rooms, various training rooms, and an auditorium. Oh, and you might have stumbled on Duwamilly reading a particularly ancient tome in the library.

If there is still room for the day, Cal would have leave to town to go find crime and kill some bad guys, to appease his mighty rod.

Cal would probably just go by himself while there is all the commotion, and he would definitely go after the serial killer!
