One of the giant wolf spiders seems rooted in place, unsure of itself. The rest, however, do not seem to have that problem. 3 giant wolf spiders target Hewelathan-wolf!
On each hit, Hewelathan must make a DC 11 Con save or take 7 poison damage (half-damage on a success).
A giant spider also moves in that direction... but instead of targeting the giant wolf, it hisses and shoots a web at Perdita, trying to stop the nightmarish horse from getting away with the webbed victim!
Attack: 14; on a hit, the nightmare is restrained!
The remaining 4 giant wolf spiders take the dodge as they begin fanning out around the battlefield to search for more enemies.
The three giant spiders, meanwhile, move back towards the Drider, seemingly to protect him from the unseen assailants. They also take the dodge action.
Ruby, meanwhile, does exactly as was suggested and takes the hide, doing her best to disappear into the rubble until the battle is over.
Stealth: 8 + 4 (bardic inspiration). She might also get +10 from Hewelathan's pass without trace, depending on whether or not Hew manages to pass any necessary concentration saves.
[[OOC: I'll need a total of 4 Con saves from Hewelathan... 2 to avoid the worst of the poison, 2 to maintain concentration]]
(OOC: Don't forget that Hewelathan-wolf took the dodge action this round, so any attack rolls against him should be made with disadvantage.
Edited to add: Oh! And he's also still under the protection of Sanctuary since he hasn't attacked or cast a spell yet. So, those spiders would have to pass a WIS save before they can actually attack him.)
Distracted with wrestling the poor victim up onto her saddle, Hildegard is poorly positioned to act before the swarm of spiders bears down on her and the quickly reacting Hewelathan. The spider's hairy legs rushing towards her stop and coil to throw as a sticky web shoots from its spinnerets. Hildegard hauls back on the reins, and Perdita rears up, the large target of the fiendish steed's body twisting around for Hildegard to thrust out her shield to deflect the approaching web from tangling either of their limbs up. Flinging her shield free from the web, she spurs Perdita, and the nightmare leaps into the air, flaming hooves pounding the air as she dashes up and away from the horde of spiders, the precious live silk-wrapped bundle slung securely across the saddle. "Stay still,"Hildegard says to the bundle, just in case the spider's victim inside has enough energy left to mount a struggle, "we're getting you out of there!"
Hildegard uses her Mounted Combatant feat to force the web attack to target her instead of the nightmare---making the attack fail against her AC of 19 and avoiding Perdita becoming restrained. Then the nightmare will dash to fly 180 feet away from the spider swarm, up into the air.
(OOC: I totally forgot about the disadvantage granted by the saddle! A 12 would make the attack fail against Perdita's AC of 13, but I used the Mounted Combatant feat to redirect the attack regardless.)
One giant wolf spider is currently confused, the Drider has taken 3 damage from the flaming sphere, and Hewelathan still has to make his Con saves to see if Ruby is able to maintain concentration on his pass without trace. Korba and Temphalic are up!
CON saving throw 22 vs DC 11 to avoid extra poison damage
CON saving throw 21 vs DC 10 for concentration
The spiders are determined, but Hewelathan-Wolf manages to dodge all but one of their bites. Thankfully, the bite is superficial, and Hewelathan maintains concentration. He continues to grant a veil of shadow and muting white noise to any allies within 30'.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Korba, seeing that his companions are now embroiled in a fight, summons his sword in a whirl of sand, but keeps his distance for the time being and from his sword shoots out an eldritch blast of sand towards the nearest spider.
How many spiders could Tamphalic get with a shatter (10ft sphere), doubting between shatter and Maximilian's earthen grasp.

With the amount of Spiders there Tamphalic thinks its best to first of all get rid of a couple of them
Shatter on as many Spiders DC14 Con save or take 15 Thunder damage, half on succesfull save.

I think Jodie's Confusion could conceivably hit two giant spiders and two giant wolf spiders.
Wis saves vs. DC 14:
Giant Spider: 20
Giant spider: 19
Giant wolf spider: 8
Giant wolf spider: 18

Oh, right...
Second rolls for the spiders

I don't think that changed the result very much...

(OOC: Yeah, the spiders' dice been on fire this whole round!)
Alright, 3 Wis saves coming right up!
Save 1: 12

Not going to bother rolling the saves... 1/2 of 22 is still enough to kill a giant wolf spider. Temphalic's spell takes out 3 spiders instantly.
