"The next time you are eating something less than great, let me know. I can change the flavour of the food, I will treat you to the most exquisite flavour I have ever experienced."
Upon stepping outside of the shed, it's not hard to spot Willeren. She is attending to the graves, delicately scraping off drips of wax from spent candles and replacing them with new ones to be lit tonight. Several ravens sit atop gravestones, keeping her company, and nearly a dozen more are perched on the roof of the church, watching you as you emerge. You also notice the pale light of dawn is already fading after just a few minutes, covered by darkened clouds. It's as if the sun rises only to be immediately choked out.
Bramstep forward with a warm smile and addresses Willeren,
"Good morning Willeren. Thank you for your kind hospitality last night and this morning. How are you faring this, less than ideal morning?"
Bramlooks up at the gathering clouds with a sigh, muttering to himself.
"Does this place every get any decent light?"
Turning back to Willeren he continues,
"Any change we could ask you some question? We are trying to find someone who may live here, or have passed through. We are looking for someone called Verrina Dusttoe."
Bram: She turns, again a little surprised by your presence; you get the sense she very rarely has company. "Oh good morning! Though I'd hardly call it less than ideal. We're lucky to get a dawn as bright as today's, perhaps the light was drawn to the presence of such warm visitors." she says with a smile. "Verrina Dusttoe you say? No... unfortunately our fates have never crossed. If she lived in Ashstone I'd surely have heard of her. If she passed through at all, well it's possible Gorrim at the tavern, or Meredith at the general store would have met her."
Fixing his hair and almost sheepishly stepping forward, Dril addresses Willeren, "Fair priestess, thank you for my treatment, I know not how but I will repay you." Watching as she scrapes wax off of tombs he begins rummaging in his satchel, "Stones are porous, the candle wax undoubtedly finds its way into the surface. Take this solvent. Now, a little bit will go a long way toward restoring a tombstone to its original glory, perhaps appropriate for an appropriate anniversary or celebration. Please accept my humble tithe but please, test it somewhere not likely to be seen to see if it discolors or pits the stone, this was purchased in a different plane."
Dril hands over the solvent he purchased in the Feywild.
Liafial: "Well they're right across from each other, in the town square." She says with a nod in the general direction you came from last night.
Dril: "Oh my, truly it was my pleasure to look after your wounds, as well as my duty to the Raven Queen. Still, you are as generous as the rest of your companions, thank you." she takes the vial and places it with her tools.
"Is there anything else you all wish to ask of me? I'd like to be of as much help as I can to you on your journey."
Stepping forward, Ava shakes her head in agreement.
"Good morning Willeren, thank you again for all that you have provided for us. I wanted to ask you about someone who might have come through here in the past. His name is Rahula Narajuna, he's the Divine Archivist of Elysium, and my father. He recently went missing, and I've been tasked with locating him. Has he been here recently?"
Ava: "Rahula... yes, I do think I've met him before! It was years ago now, he came through Ashstone searching for some tome detailing the ascension of the Raven Queen. I don't recall if he eve found it... but again, that was quite some time ago. If his fate has led him here again, I do not know, but I wish you all the luck in finding him." she says, voice heavy with concern.
"Thank you, I'm sure that we will find him soon. Again, I greatly appreciate all that you have done for us, and wish you well. May the Raven Queen protect and guide you."
It's not difficult to find your way back to Ashstone's central plaza. The streets aren't significantly busier than they were last night, though it is easier to get a look at the stoic citizens of the town. The Weary Wick tavern sits at one corner of the open area, it's exterior blending in with the drab greys of weathered wood and stone. The inside is similarly plain, and would be unwelcoming if not for the glowing embers of a fireplace in the back of the room. There is only one patron at the moment, a cloaked figure who seems to be eating breakfast. The barkeep, a wiry, aged human male, is polishing glasses idly.
Clermar will follow Bram's lead, also hoping for a drink. "At least there is a small ray of light in this place. I can't believe this is a brighter morning than usual."
Ospos shrugs, "I'm not difficult. Good food, nice clothes. Upper class stuff."
Bram thinks for a bit before responding,
"The next time you are eating something less than great, let me know. I can change the flavour of the food, I will treat you to the most exquisite flavour I have ever experienced."
