Xa watches all this pebble tossing with interest. If it was coin tossing, he knew they would be losing at a prodigious rate. Looking about, he notices Grawdor stroking his chin and muttering to himself. " Something bothering you, Graw?"
Graw is muttering quietly to himself, “Do you remember the dungeons of September? Looting the scrolls, casting spells to remember…oh! I think I have it!” He exclaims. “I had this song in my head by this group that inspired me, called Fire Water and Earth. Terrific group, would recommend seeing them. Anyways, their name reminds me of three of the things mentioned in the riddle: Earth in the second couplet, Water in the third couplet, and Fire in the final couplet. Following that pattern, Air would most likely be what the first couplet references. And so,” Graw says as he steps onto the Air section of the first panel.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Graw does a slight twirl, a grin on his face. "Nope!" he calls to Xa and the rest of the group. Graw starts to dance, and he dances his way across the rest of the panels (in the order of Earth, then Water, and hopping across the Fire at the end).

Varja watches Graw dancing across the panels, then looks down at himself before looking back up with a dead serious facial expression.
"Yeah, I'm not dancing." He looks at the panels, checking for any way to just outright temporarily disable it enough time for him to make his way to the other side slowly.
Graw’s dances across the panels with no injury. While at times his wild dance style almost puts his feet in the wrong spots, he crosses the mosaic with no incident. (You worked out the puzzle!)
Varja looks at the panels on the wall and ground and doesn’t see any way of disabling anything mechanical. Whoever designed it must be a wizard or engineer of great power and intellect.
Varja let out a long, tired sigh that lasted nearly half a minute before he slowly made his way to the other side, making sure to take his time and following the same steps Graw took; well, dance to, but he isn't going to dance and just carefully making his way by going on the same route. Very carefully.
As you all get past the mosaic, you breath a sigh of relief at not suffering the same fate as the rat.
You now have a better look at the two doors in the hallway. The one at the end that the rat ran into has a large well in the middle, while the passage to the side of the hallway has a wooden door that stands ajar, inside you see what could be described as a labarotory or workspace. A desk and remnants of alchemical glassware litter the room.
While Varja is searching for clues, Graw starts to play a slow melody, mouthing words as he plays. He casts Detect Magic as a ritual spell, to not take up one of his spell slots.
Xa keeps looking between the lab and the well in the middle of the hallway. "Stick together and all go into the lab? Maybe I can stay at the door and keep an eye on that hole in the floor...?"
"There might be bottles in the lab..." Xa continues rubber necking between where they came from, where they are, and that hole up the hallway. "Maybe check with Varja."
Yatari - You don’t see anything resembling traces of people. You do find traces of smashed bottles in the hallway, along with 2 intact empty bottles.
Xa - The door is wide open so it definitely could fit a rat through. You have a look in from the entrance to the room. To the left sits a mouldering desk and the shattered remnants of alchemical glassware, while the centre of the room is dominated by a set of tall bookcases arranged back-to-back. All around, however, are scorch marks and signs of countless small fires and the air is filled with the smell of smoke and burned meat.
Varja - You notice in the same room the wooden furniture is blackened and burned in places, while what may once have been a pile of books has been been reduced to ash. Singed traces of what may be webbing hang from the ceiling.
Graw - You do feel slight traces of magic coming from the laboratory. With stronger signals coming from the farther side of the room. Liquids on the floor could definitely be spilled magic potions.
Xa is quick to proclaim his innocence - that he did NOT do any of this scorching and burning. "Too bad about those books, Varja. Think anything is salvageable?"
"Looks like somebody had a battle in here." INVESTIGATION check: (combat log) 10.

Xa smiles and nods and then his jaw drops to the floor as Grawdor steps forward. "By Titania's Perky..... Have you gone mad?"
Nothings happens as Graw steps on the “Air” section of the first panel.

Yatari closes her eyes and breathes out. She looks forward and carefully makes her way across the panels following the path that Graw set.
When she makes it across ( if she does) she stands next Graw and pats him on the back.
"Good job figuring that out, I was about to throw a heavier rock to see what happens.", she laughs.

Which door are you going in?
Investigation: 6
Mainly to see if there were any traces of people there.
HOW ajar is that door? Just a crack or wide enough for a dog sized rat to pass thorugh? INVESTIGATION check: 8
Xa tries to listen at the door that is ajar. PERCEPTION check: 18
Turning to Narja, "I suppose a wizard would know best what to investigate in a wizard's lab, right?"
"Hm." Varja looks around carefully. "Give me a few minutes to check the place for any clues of anyone other than the rats who had been here."

"Does anyone have any bottles or find and anything of the sorts? I saywe bottle any mystery liquid just in case."
Yatari looks around to find bottle like objects and looks for mystery liquid.
