Seri's action is to try and dislodge William's gear from the nearest sailor with her Mage Hand (if that's a bonus action you still have action and movement). Although mightily confused by the unseen force plucking at the gear slung on his shoulders, the sailor manages to hold on to it.
William attempts to get to his and others' gear. Given that all the sailors are still holding the gear, what exactly is William's movement/action?

Everyone roll initiative if you haven't already, and tell me what you are doing with your free turn due to the surprise. This is the situation now. The letters on the sailors/guards indicate whose gear they are carrying (W is WIlliam's, K is Kairouani's etc. Billy and the boys didn't really have anything). The numbers are just so we can track which one is doing what or which one you want to attack.

To recap the 'free' round due to surprise:
Seri casts Minor Illusion to give the signal for you all to slip your false bonds and attack, then uses her Telekinetic Shove as a BA, which unfortunately fails to dislodge William's gear from the nearest sailor (2) as he succeeded in his strength save.
Thea uses her action and bonus action to sink both of her successfully concealed daggers into her nearest sailor (1), who was carrying her gear. That sailor drops to his knees, eyes glazed and blood pouring from his mouth, before falling onto his face in the thick leaf litter that forms the forest floor. He is dead.
Kairouani moves across the forest floor like a wraith and uses a shove attack (post 578) on the sailor holding her gear (4). I'm taking the attack roll in post 584 as your shove attack. As an unarmed attack I think it does 4 bludgeoning damage, looking at your character sheet. Let me know if you disagree. Although surprised and slightly winded, the sailor manages to keep his feet, and keep hold of Kai's gear.
William lunges at sailor 2, swinging a somewhat laboured punch. Despite the sudden eruption of mayhem taking the sailors by surpise, this one has enough wits about him to sway backwards as William's fist flies harmlessly past his nose.
Billy lunges low at sailor 3, winding him by hitting him in the midriff with a shoulder, and then grappling him with his long arms. These two are now locked in a tussle.
The three islanders, also aware of the signal and its significance, set upon the surprised sailors with a will. Mitombo launches himself at sailor 4, as he is distracted by Kairouani's running attack, and barrels into him, trying to knock him down. Herim and Tsara tackle Sailor 5.
Mitombo unarmed attack with shove: Attack: 19 Damage: 2
Sailor 4 Str save vs shove: 12
Herim unarmed attack with grapple: Attack: 14 Damage: 2
Sailor 4's sea legs pay off for him again. Buffeted by both Kairouani and Mitombo, he still manages to keep his feet somehow. He drops into a fighting crouch, belay pin in hand, galncing between his two assailants.
As sailor 5 shrugs off Herim's attempt to grapple him, Tsara darts in and attempts the same:
Tsara unarmed attack with shove: Attack: 22 Damage: 2
Shrugging off Herim, although bruised by the attempt, sailor 5 fails to see Tsara's swift attack, and ends up with the diminutive islander clinging onto him with the strength of one possessed.
Seri feels a strange sense of de-coupling within her. As if there are two Seris. One, a teenager (maturity-wise), heart thundering in her chest like Trondro's wrath in a lightning storm, experiencing her first pitched battle. Yet the other Seri gazes on serenely, an implacable scion of the Wave Father.
It is this second Seri who judges that Billy has his sailor (3) under control, as do Herim and Tsara with theirs (5) with their respective grapples. William seems to be struggling wearily with his foe (2), but Seri does not give that sailor (2) long to draw breath with Thea's hungry knives lurking nearby.
By process of elimination, she targets Sailor 4, the one carrying Kairouani's weapons and currently NOT grappled.
Seri steps northwest five feet. The sudden profusion of spiked kelp that seems to whip from her hand seeks to wrap around Sailor 4 like a lasso and drag him ten feet towards her. She murmurs in Olona and the sea breeze seems to gust suddenly once more as her invisibleMage Hand attempts to Telekinetically ShoveKairouani's equipment out of the grasp of Sailor 4.
Seri's voice is solemn. Her quiet words in Veridian are not a threat - merely a statement of inexorable truth.
"Know this, shipmates of the corrupted Belua. The freedom of Trondro's horizons remains the birthright of all people. Ever has slavery been anathema to the Wave Father. Your shame runs deep, and your lives are forfeit. Crabs and sea stars shall scour your flesh and coral shall repurpose your bones. Or perhaps it shall be ants and termites, should you have the dishonor to perish so far from the waves to which we all must return."
Movement: Seri steps 5' northwest. Action: Seri casts Thorn Whip (melee spell attack with 30' range) on Sailor 4 - 15 to hit, 4 damage (magical piercing). Forced Movement: on a hit, Sailor 4 is dragged 10' towards Seri (ESE - so ending up 10' east and 5' south from his current position). Bonus Action: Telekinetic Shove on Sailor 4 - DC14 STR Save or drop Kairouani's gear.
Hit by Kairouani and Mitombo, and now entwined in magical spiked sea-kelp, sailor 4 is dragged between his two assailants through the leaf litter and over twisted roots until he stands before the cleric, bruised, bleeding from myriad puncture wounds, and with a pained and desperate expression on his face. Although it is unclear whether Seri's words have registered on the others, this sailor has certainly heard, and understood.
Sailor 5, with Tsara clinging to his back, manages to swing his club with a free arm towards Herim, standing in front of him. Attack: 19 Damage: 2
Billy shifts his weight to pull his man off balance, in a move that shows he is no stranger to a close-in fight. In doing so, he frees one hand and brings the heel of his palm crashing up into the sailor's jaw whilst holding him close with the other arm. Attack: 9 Damage: 7
Although hindered by Tsara, sailor 5 manages to land a glancing blow on Herim.
Billy's foe also seems no stranger to a brawl, and uses the momentum created by Billy's shift of balance to move his chin out of the path of the tall man's strike.
In response to the blow with the club, Herim darts in and aims a punch at the sailor's midriff. Attack: 9 Damage: 2
