Bennett escapes the grasp of the alligator and disappears before the beast. He appears once more on another dry land mass. Hatt keeps his spirit weapon to helping Gasp, yet finds it unnecessary as Gasp plunges his blade deep into the gator as it finally lets go of him.
Attack: 19 Damage: 15
(Forgot to add in the gator bites.)
As Ashley's spell fizzles before the hunger in the beast, Crispy quickly goes to her aid. As Crispy runs over, the gator before his snaps at her legs, yet doesn't keep a hold on her as she feels the teeth dragging into her legs then out. Both of her blades sinking into the beast but it keeps its hold on Ashley, even as her spiritual weapon couldn't cut the thick hide of the gator.
As the beast tasted blood, it fueled its hunger as it kept after Crispy. And just as it seemed the beast would do a fatal attack, Crispy does an uncanny dodge to make it less fatal. And the other beast thrashes about with Ashley still in its maw.
(Did the reaction as it would have ended Crispy with a crit.)
Gasp, now free, bolts away toward Ashley. As the gator bites down on her, Gasp lets out a loud KAW! (He has moved to F10)
BONUS ACTION: Turn The Tide! (Channel Divinity) = 7 points of healing to all his companions within 30ft as long as they have no more than half their max HP
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
With Bennett now seeming in a better condition, Hatt runs towards his other friends. His spiritual weapon moves twenty feet towards the scene of battle, but is unable to reach any alligators in order to attack this term. It floats in an agitated way, bobbing up and down and swishing from side to side angrily.
He moves to F8, next to the alligator, Crispy and Ashley. Third thing, keep everyone alive. He places his hand on Ashley's hand and casts Cure Wounds at second level: 12 HP for Ashley. He turns to Crispy, and says Hold on, you're next.

Attack: 17 Damage: 12
Attack: 20 Damage: 11
(Sorry for the long wait, went back to work for a couple of overtime shifts and it exhausted me. I botted for Gasp's main action and Bennett's turn.)
Gasp jumps into the fray as he turns the tide, healing both Ashley's and Crispy's wounds as he flies in. Crispy's anger ravages the gator who keeps a stubborn grip on her. But with the help of Gasp's blade, the gator iron like bite is wrenched free as it finally dies. And just as the Gator that has Crispy can do anymore, Bennett gives the beast payback with two blasts of his eldritch energy.

We, um, did it? Hatt says uncertainly, surprised at how much damage the group took in the fight. If you don't mind, he says, and he lays a hand on Crispy's arm and casts Cure Wounds for 7 HP and allows his spiritual weapon to fade away.
The spell closes most of her wounds but the bruising still remains. Quite a lot of blood has been spilt but there doesn't seem to be any other predators nearby. The party can check for more clues or can follow the previous track of blood prints on the trees.
(I...wasn't expecting that from Hatt. Really not expecting that.)
Hatt cuts a hole into the beasts, peering into their stomachs. The beasts have not eaten yet, explaining their fervor in their attack. It was a chance for a meal for them.
I'll always remember this game, it was my first D&D experience since I was a kid and by first experience of PbP. Many thanks to the DM for making it a positive one and drawing me in; I'm now DMing three games on this site, and you were a big factor in helping me learn the ropes and feel confident enough to give it a try.
But I feel that we've pretty much all moved on to other games or other experiences, and it makes sense to draw a line under this campaign now. Unless anyone strongly disagrees, that is.
I hope I get a chance to play with you all in the future. :)

I'm okay. I guess they don't really like the taste of halfling. Or I just look less appetising than everyone else.
Hatt has a gruesome thought and starts inspecting the dead creatures for signs of anything - or anyone - else in their stomachs. Survival 20

(Well, we are looking for a missing kid. And his father, I guess, who left ahead of us.)
