I've also grappled with spelling this out, but I feel that Elero and Erix have too high Int and Wis to have not noticed this. Before they met up with the other two, they heard Thorn talking with a tall elf called Zaerun, which is the name of the person who Mark was asked to find information on. He seemed to be staying in the room to the south.
Erix throws the bag over his shoulder, to be divided later.
"Mark, didn't you say you needed information regarding one Zaerun? When we went up hear we were told Thorn was with an elf from Droaam called Zaerun. He was in the room over there."
((Sorry did not recognize the name. Was planning to tell what Spider Erix overheard when we were out of here))

(Haha, I was just going to let you all walk out and work it out yourselves later. But like I said, Elero and Erix would have remembered the name Zaerun since they heard it just a few hours ago. And your still going to have to make the choice of weather to act on this information or not. You all hear a LOT of footsteps and shouting coming from downstairs.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Technically, spider Erix heard that when he went into that room, while Elero remained in the book/scroll room we're currently in, so he didn't hear that conversation or know about the were-elf, I don't think.
Intimidation check: 10
Also, is the torch still lit in the Mage Hand? If so, Elero will float it toward the nearest bookshelf, in case we decide to torch this place when we leave.
Hey Elero, you should take Inspiration I think. I never mentioned the elf was were-anything as far as I can remember, very clever. Also, yes, you can hold the mage hand near the books in preparation for a torching.
You hear the people downstairs scream in fright of the Flamethrower, then a female voice yells at them. "Just push through idiots! If they're employing traps they must be stalling. Get up there and help Thorn, our plans cannot be thwarted now."
You've maybe bought yourselves one round. Do you go into Zaerun's room and try to find anything? Or do you just torch the library and feather fall out of here?
((I re-read the conversation and Erix would have remembered that the elf climbed out of the window, so most likely isn't there right now due to being "on the hunt".
btw Elero, that an elf named Zaeran was in that room was told to you by the guys downstairs that sent us through))

Thanks, DM. Aha, there's that. The downstairs guys did mention that name, but, like Erix, I was focused on the fighting, and saving the telling for later.
"I don't know how long the flamethrower will keep them back," Elero shouts. "Should we go out the side room window or Zaerun's room's window?"
Elero will use his action to start setting books and scrolls on fire in this room, and every bonus action while we're up here to fire the flamethrower down the stairs, and he'll move toward whatever room the party decides. His brave little dragon's going to sacrifice itself so the party can get away.
Hanging from the roof, kit watches Elero and his death machines in awe. “best we go out the exit we know I reckon, the occupant next door is accomodating.”

Ok, Elero will follow them to the side room, using his bonus actions to fire the flamethrower down the stairs. After the first lighting of scrolls, he'll drop the torch and use his action to have the mage hand open Zaerun's door, to potentially make the pursuers believe we went that way, and then end the mage hand.
The library is thoroughly on fire. The acolytes are able to either get past or break the Flamethrower and run into another inferno. At the same time you all make it into the bedroom nextdoor. Will you try to jump out to the tenement next door or simply feather fall to the ground?
Elero will lean towards Feather Fall, because he's not great at long jumping, so if the rest of the team jumps to another building, he'll meet you on the street. :)
He's casting Feather Fall on at least himself, and whomever else wants to drop with him, including Chumulk.
(So sorry I was caught up with something’s but I am back now. I agree we leave and potentially comeback for now.) Mark will through his hood up to make sure they have no idea who he is. Then he will jump out with Elero.
You all jump out of the mysterious temple, free-falling for a moment but slowing down and lightly landing on the ground at the bottom, with Elero casting Feather Fall. At this point you see through the deep darkness that the top floor of the temple is on fire and the acolytes seem to be trying to deal with that.
Do you make a break for it? It's pretty late so no one is really around at this point. But you do see lights flaring in windows around you; people waking up from the disturbance in the temple.
As kit takes an artistic dive, slowly flipping and gayly twirling to the ground he says “we should book it on touchdown!” He likes this escape because after the trouble they’ve caused he’d rather not be seen by a locals again.
He lands on the ground “good thinking with the arson!… Trash your boss’s shop and we’ll burn their temple to the ground hahahahahhahaha!”
“Let’s go”.
kit seems to be enjoying the rush, the fire, but he can’t help but feel he should be collecting something. In his backpack, He feels the weight of that book Mark found.

As you head off out of the square you notice a figure in the window looking down, arms crossed. A woman in tight black robes and short black hair glares down at the square.
You make your way up out of Khyber's Gate and back through The Cogs. It's really late now, probably 1 or 2 in the morning, you'll all need to have a rest. Do you all head back to Mark's apartment and debrief?

Thorn has a patchwork satchel over his shoulder. When Erix searches it a whole plethora of items fall out including:
382gp
210sp
130cp
A Potion of Healing
A Potion of Climbing
A Potion of Healing (Greater)
You realise that this bag must be a Bag of Holding to have so much inside.
Can Elero please roll an Intimidation check for his Flamethrower thing.

Mark will agree in leaving but non suspiciously so no one has evidence that we are connected to this at all.
