Mark and Werz bid their farewells as the rest of you continue on to the city of Xanxirite. LANDMOP is able to find the bones of many traveler’s along the way, as this part of the tunnels was plagued by the Trolls previously.
You travel for another day without interference, and I’ll get another d20 roll for a random encounter for the evening.

(LANDMOP can cast it 3 times a day, would it be feasible to have the full 4 skeletons by the time we hit the city?)
You travel throughout the rest of the day, just the four of you know, but slowly bolstered by the undead LANDMOP keeps resurrecting (You're still a day or two away from Xanxirite, I don't know how many skeleton's you're aloud to have at a time, but you'll find all the corpses you need along the way.)
At the point at which you get tired and need a rest, you see a divergent path to your right, one that is not on your map that Jimjar made for you. You get the distinct smell of gas coming from this side tunnel, and also note that it is far less used than the main tunnel to Xanxirite.

Yes, Erix agrees; let's continue towards the city. We can always ask what might be here.

Zoveldra is able to deduce that this is a recent gas leak randomly sprung up at that junction, and you all head off toward the city. I will get one more d20 Random Encounter roll.

You travel throughout the next day, stopping a couple times to chat and regroup. At one point in the afternoon, or as far as you can guess the afternoon, you step into a slimy pool and stop. In front of you is a giant pit of mud and slime, it will be difficult to wade through this wide muck pit.
The skeleton steps into the mud and immediately starts to sink. It is still able to move through, but it is clearly Difficult Terrain; it will take a few rounds to move through the mud pit.
Every morning Erix throws three balls of fur to turn into animals; today: 2 weasels and 1 giant badger.
Erix sends his badger to dig through the mud and see if anything is hiding in there.
Perception: 3 or if advantage due to smell a fenominal 4.

Will you divert off the path?
Zoveldra tries to see if she recognizes the gas smell and its properties from her guide days.

Seems like diverting toward gas is a bad idea, Elero thinks.

((How far across is it?))

And does this pool look natural, or could it be some kind of slime/ooze/gelatinous monster?
The pit is about 60ft across, and seems to be natural enough.
LANDMOP will send a skeleton forward
The skeleton steps into the mud and immediately starts to sink. It is still able to move through, but it is clearly Difficult Terrain; it will take a few rounds to move through the mud pit.
LANDMOP sends the rest of the undead through before following along
