The Helm doesn't require attunement from what I can read.
The letter is from Mark's handler Reidnul, it simply reads, "You better come in for a debrief when you get a chance. You may not get one for quite some time. You may as well bring the rest of The Rouge with you."
When Elero dons the helm and looks at the strange rock-like runes you got from Garra, the words printed on them start to unjumble and form into a coherent series. Elero understands that he is seeing something that no man was really meant to see. His heart drops as the words almost seem to slither into his mind. The feeling of the Mind Flayer pales in comparison to the feeling of these words. As though he is being spoken to by time itself. The words read:
"Beneath towers that scrape the moon’s forgotten face, When the sky churns and the dream bleeds silver, The wound of the world shall open thrice. From storm and silence, flesh and forge, Thought shall ride upon the breathless tide.
Blade drawn from no scabbard.
Song sung backward through salt and flame.
Key crafted by hands that dream in brass.
Lantern lit by a mind not alone.
Vessel etched in sorrow and bone.
Mask worn beneath the skin.
In the coiling dark where light once slept, They shall unmake what was never made, Or else wake the Eye that dreams beneath stone. The gate is patient. The gate remembers."
Mark, not yet knowing what the stone says, speaks, "Hey, we need to stop by my work so I can pick up my payment and let them know what's going on. I have a little safe here to store some gold, but I am really looking forward to some shopping. It's so nice that things are finally calming down for us." Mark then looks at Elero's troubled face, "What do you see. Is it something bad?"
"Um..." Elero reels at what he read, then gets some ink and paper, and begins writing it down in Common so the rest of the team will have it. "I'm not really sure what this is. Sounds like a prophecy, and it sounds like something bad is coming, but I can't make out any details, or anything I can tie to a place I know."
He shudders involuntarily. "It's all very weird."
He'll hand the paper to the team once he's done, and remove the Helm. "Let me know if any of this makes sense to you. We may need to find a library and do some research."

Mark doesn’t quite know what these words could mean. You may need to take these findings to someone if you want to find out it’s portent. As for shopping, is that something you want to do now or after you go to see Mark’s boss. Also, I might remind you that Yosgrim was making you some magic items.
Sounds like a good order of events, after a Long Rest. Can any of the conjured animals watch over us while we sleep? We've stirred up some trouble lately.
You all settle down for the night, and gain the much needed benefits of a Long Rest. When you awake in the morning, you gather your things and head back out into the streets of Sharn. The streets bustle all around you but you head straight to Upper Central, only stopping for a moment to give an out of breath gnome carrying bagpipes directions to Kavarrah Concert Hall. Eventually you arrive at the Kundarak Bank and head in through a side entrance. Neither Elero nor Erix have likely seen the stately office rooms of the bank. With massive walls and ornate yet direct architecture, the Dwarven banking house is everything you would have imagined. Mark leads you through rows of money counters, insurance brokers, and very well dressed dwarfs to a small office in the lower basement of the bank. Inside you find a very well dressed dwarf with cropped hair and glasses, a man you would recognise from the Orien manor a couple nights ago: Yosgrim, a dwarven banker and spy for House Kundarak. Yosgrim smiles somewhat grimly as you walk in and motions to some chairs in front of his desk, "Please come in. It is truly a pleasure to meet The Rouge, your services at the manor a couple nights ago were truly appreciated; many of the greatest personages of the Dragonmarked Houses in Sharn would now be captive if it weren't for you. Now tell me Mark, I would very much appreciate a debrief of what the hell you've been doing for the last few days."
Oh actually, I should ask. Do you tell him about what Elero saw in the runes? And how would the others feel about Mark telling Reidnul this information?
Erix is fine with most, except if he also talks about the runes.

No, I wanted to tell him since this whole tablet thing seems way out of our depth. but I will not say anything of the others don't want me to or if Mark knows that is a bad idea with this specific person.
From their last posts it seems as though the others don’t want you to tell Reidnul anything about the runes. Does Mark have an argument as to why he should or will he go with what they want?

Elero smiles, donning the Helm and trying to read the glyphs (unless it requires attunement first).

Do any of us recognize this prophecy?
"Well that doesn't sound very promising" Erix says upon reading it.
((Regarding shopping I believe we also sell scrolls of:

Mark will want to go to his boss to get the gold for a job well done, then Yosgrim, then the market.

I give him a full recount of what has happened. I say everything but the mind powers and being controlled by an evil God.
(So sorry, Yosgrim is Elero's Gnomish employer, Reidnul is Mark's bank handler.)

Elero would vote that we keep the runic info to ourselves for now.
Mark will tell him about the Rune. I also feel like I am not lying, but rather just telling him pertinent information.
Did you mistype in that last post? You plan to not tell Reidnul correct?
No, I wanted to tell him since this whole tablet thing seems way out of our depth. but I will not say anything of the others don't want me to or if Mark knows that is a bad idea with this specific person.
