Yosgrim looks confused at first but then smiles. “Of course, your help in this matter would be much appreciated. Do you think you’d be able to find where these brutes are coming from? I only know a couple of them by name, like that Thorn fellow. They mostly wear hoods.”
Mark nods as Elero gives them a nod, "I want to be clear here, we want to be friendly but we are not saints. We will need some kind of payment for our troubles. What can you promise us if we eradicated these 'brutes'?"
Yosgrim looks around the shop, you see lots of gadgets and gizmos. It’s somewhat hard to tell what they do, but they are all well crafted and quality looking, “You can have anything off the shelf you like if you get the job done. I can also craft anything you need if you give me some time.” He thinks to himself, “I suppose I could also muster up some money. Say 1000gp?” He looks at you inquisitively, as though he doesn’t really know if that’s a lot of money or not.
Erix's eyes go wide at the mention of a 1000gp, almost saying they'd do it for free for a friend of Elero's. Just in time he stops himself, knowing the others wouldn't be happy with such a comment.

Yosgrim’s eyes widen, “You mean to kill him? I didn’t think that would be necessary. Just scare him away, and make sure none of his friends come back either.” He looks at Elero, “Who are these people you hang out with Elero? You don’t plan to kill Thorn do you?”
“Kill ‘em!? That’ll cost you a bit more, boss. Per diems included. But we can just do the scare if you’re short on coin.” Kit does his best at a polite grin. “Elero’s a good sort…I’ll wait outside…” kit makes his way for the exit but lingers near the door.
Mark shakes his head, "Apologies for my friend here, he is a bit on the wild side. The gold and the equipment will do nicely. Can you tell us what all these things do and we can tell you if they will be useful in getting rid of your... problem."
[OOC - Wanted to know what the guy has or what level of magical item should we be looking for?]
"Uh," Elero blushes, "well, it's not so much that my friends seek to kill people, but more like, during the course of these adventures, we seem to run into people who seek to kill us, and, well, we must defend ourselves. This Thorn person certainly looked mean when I saw him threatening you, and it might be difficult to just...scare him off. So, I just want you to be prepared for all...possibilities."
"This is all fairly new to me, as well, Yosgrim, and I've discovered these past few weeks that the city can be a rough place at times."
Yosgrim stops zipping around the room and runs his chin for a moment, “You’re right. I suppose up here in the Upper Ward we live in a bubble of sorts. Is there a lot of crime down below? It’s been quite a few years since I’ve even been down to Middle Menthis.” You would all recognise this as a very ignorant thing to say.
Yosgrim nods, “Well then thank you all for your help, clearly this is a situation I won’t be able to deal with on my own. Unfortunately I don’t have any more information for you at the moment. But perhaps a plan can be this: The next time one of these brutes come into he shop, I’ll send you a message with this.” He picks up a silver metal badge shaped like a five pointed star and gives it to you. “This little trinket will allow me to communicate with you. I’ll try to keep the creep here and you all come to my rescue, how does that sound?”
Elero takes the star. "Communicating with this is a great idea, Yosgrim. Next time one shows up, let us know, and we'll either come in here and stop them, or possibly wait and follow them to see where their hideout is. After all," he waves an arm at the shelves of gadgets, "combat can be pretty messy, even in my limited experience, and I'd hate to wreck your wondrous inventory."
"Sounds like a plan, but can we communicate back to you using the device as well? If we are busy at the time they come we might have to wait till the next time."

These silver stars work the same as Sending Stones . You can use each of them once a day for a one way message.
If there was nothing else you wanted to ask Yosgrim, you take the short trip to Lower Central where Mark keeps his large apartment. As you walk in, the worg Clumulk growls at Mark’s cat Milo as he darts from the couch where he was cleaning himself into the training room next door. Clumulk looks at Erix questioning but stays by his side instead of following the cat.
You can all feel free now to discuss your next moves. Knowing that your not being listened to, and that neither job you’ve been offered is especially urgent at the moment.
Erix looks at Mark with a questioning look "Chumulk would like to play with your cat, is that fine?"

"It's, uh," Elero pauses. "You wouldn't believe how different it is. That may be why those people come here looking for gadgets from us."

(Mark would say this to the gnome before they left)
Yosgrim agrees, “I’ll make sure you have enough time to get here and follow them.”
