You look again t the exits to this room. A heavy curtain hangs across a doorway in the eastern wall, and a door cracked open a foot or so leads to the south - through which the Intellect Devourer just came.

You head south and find a small room; bronze hooks still hang on the walls, and low stone benches ring the chamber. Small heaps of rubbish, nestlike mounds of moss and debris, and the strong smell of rotting meat fill the room.
Mark notices some shining things among the debris, including some coins, quartz, and a rotted fur mantle with a black pearl sewn into a concealed pocket. All up it amounts to 386gp in gold and jewels.
((Ill add this sum to the pot for group expenses, after we are done in here we can see if we want to splits what we found))
Erix has a quick look around with Mark
"I guess we'll have to go through the curtain than. Ill try to open it from afar."
After he says this he moves back and from 30ft casts Thorn whip to try and rip the curtain from the doorway.
To hit 20, for 3dmg and a 10ft pull.

When you whip the curtain back you see the room beyond. This domed chamber seems to have been a shrine to the same figure you saw in the last room. Its multicolored mosaic floor is chipped, stained, and blanketed by dirt and slime in many places. The deep purple painting that decorated the ceiling is in even worse shape. It’s impossible to discern what it once portrayed through the cracks, moisture stains, and dripping water.
Eight alcoves in the walls each hold odd-looking statues of green stone in various poses. All seem to be humanoid, but the arms and heads have been broken off, and dark round objects set in the place where the heads used to be. Three old bronze doors lead from this chamber, spaced equally along the curving wall.
Two more Dolgrim, along with two Gnolls wait in ambush in the room. The Gnolls yell, "Take out the Cannon first! Ash said it was a real pain in the butt!" The Dolgrim charge while the Gnolls stand back with their bows. Initiative:
Group 1: Dolgrims and Gnolls
Group 2: You all
Dolgrim 1 Morningstar against Elero Attack: 22 Damage: 4 Piercing
Gnoll 1 Bone Bow against Cannon Attack: 13 Damage: 8 Piercing
Gnoll 2 Bone Bow against Cannon Attack: 6 Damage: 9 Piercing
You all are up. The Dolgrims have entered the small room you are in and are attacking Elero and his Protector Cannon. The Gnolls are staying back and shooting from afar.

Aha. I read that wrong then, I guess. Good deal he passed.
Mark will take a breath and shot
Attack: 18
Damage w/sneak attack: 12 + 9 = 21

You look again t the exits to this room. A heavy curtain hangs across a doorway in the eastern wall, and a door cracked open a foot or so leads to the south - through which the Intellect Devourer just came.
Can Mark do a quick examination of the monster?
Investigation: 18
It is an Intellect Devourer, a large brain on four legs. It is very well kept, the feet are clean from mud. Almost like a treasured pet.
"This thing was someone's pet, we should be prepared for something that can do similar damage." Mark says in a low voice.
"Agreed. If that was just the start of the fight, we need to be on our guard. Lead on."
So you heading south into the room the Intellect Devourer came from, or east through the curtain?
Erix suggests south.

Mark nods for going south.
We go south.
You head south and find a small room; bronze hooks still hang on the walls, and low stone benches ring the chamber. Small heaps of rubbish, nestlike mounds of moss and debris, and the strong smell of rotting meat fill the room.
Mark will do a quick look around before moving forward.
Perception: 17
Mark notices some shining things among the debris, including some coins, quartz, and a rotted fur mantle with a black pearl sewn into a concealed pocket. All up it amounts to 386gp in gold and jewels.
Other than that there are no other exits to this room. Through the curtain is the only other way forward.

While that's happening, Elero activates the Protector Cannon again, since he's lost his temp HP, so everyone can have 9 temp HP if they want it.
Mark will be locked and loaded waiting for something to come out to attack.
