The old man wheezes in pain as he pulls the guardsman's bolt from his thigh. "No, good sir. I disagree on chasing them down. We do not know these tunnels as they do, nor do we know what might await us if we do. And" he continues "I doubt we could all keep up. The thought of being separated, alone down here is a most unwelcome prospect."
His legs shake as he ambles slowly to the overturned wagon, leaning against it and taking a deep sigh of relief. His warm smile returns as he chuckles: "Though, that's to say I couldn't very well stop any of you if you wanted to try! It's merely a suggestion."
.... we need to go. Only death lies at this carts destination or worst. Come on get ye arse in gear take what we can. We got maybe minutes before the stupid drow be crawling down re throats.
"Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!" Azhumi curses incessantly. "I hate to admit it, but the old man's right. We need to grab whatever we can and get out of here!" The half-elf begins searching the bodies of the guards, looking for food, drink, equipment, and musical instruments, which serve as their spellcasting focus.
"Fair enough. In that case..." As Adelwald stands, he begins chanting a small hymn in a low voice. He softly pats the elf on the head as he slowly passes, seeking first to check the horses. His chant continues as they search.

Senni will start his looting by looking for a backpack. It is all very well grabbing equipment, but it is a bit useless without something to hold it in.

The half-elf begins searching the bodies of the guards, looking for food, drink, equipment, and musical instruments, which serve as their spellcasting focus.

They ran off mostly, but one is injured from the cart's overturning and still bound to it.
Senni will start his looting by looking for a backpack. It is all very well grabbing equipment, but it is a bit useless without something to hold it in.
You don't find any sort of backpack, but you do find a couple satchels.
Adelwald finds only a single beast remaining, bound and fallen. It protests on his approach, but he quickly works to calm it, using soft words and a slow approach.
Animal Handling: 17 (12{+5})
[Even if it's not enough to calm thing down] He carefully cuts away at its harness, whispering a simple blessing.
"By thine veneration of the natural order, beseech unto me thy mercy, O Lord."
[Adelwald casts a Healing Word (+8hp) on the beast]
