“Listen you stupid chicken, if you are going to get in the way I will turn you into stew,” exclaims Zeke being short not only of stature but patience and tactical sense. He swings his war hammer twice (second is for War Priest bonus action) at the hippogriff standing in front of him. Attack 15+4=19, damage 8+2=10
Billy's arrow flies true and strikes the second hippogriff just where the left foreleg meets the creature's chest. This is quickly followed by a blow to the head from the Dwarven Cleric's Warhammer, which leaves the creature staggered but still on its feet.
(Still on the first round of initiative. The conditions affecting each character and the options they still have available are listed below. Let me know if there's anything else your character would like to do this round.)

Alistair's heart hammers against his ribs, a frantic drumbeat against the backdrop of the hippogriffs' chilling cries. With a steady hand, Alistair caresses his crossbow, the familiar weight a source of comfort in this chaotic moment. Taking a deep breath to steady his aim, he targets the second hippogriff, the one that has launched itself into the attack. A silent prayer to Fierna escapes his lips as he looses the bolt, the arrow flashing through the air with a deadly glint. Attack: 16 Piercing Damage: 9
As Krog moved into position to aid Zeke, Alistair unleashes his bolt. Seemingly blessed by his mistress's dark whispers the quarrel strikes the creature's chest, piercing it's heart.

Hippogriffs:

H2 - DEAD
Players:
Zeke - Shield of Faith (+2 AC), End of Turn
Alistair - Cover (Total cover from above, 3/4 cover/+5 AC from the ground), Guidance, Movement, Bonus Action
Alistair watches, transfixed, as his bolt, seemingly guided by Fierna’s hand, strikes the hippogriff's chest with a sickening thud. The creature shrieks once, a sound that echoes through the valley like a mournful wail, before crumpling lifeless to the ground below. A surge of dark energy courses through Alistair, a tangible reward for his offering of violence. He feels a flicker of pride, a twisted arousal at wielding such power, a power granted by manifesting the dark whispers of his infernal mistress Fierna.
His gaze snaps to the remaining hippogriff, its mournful cry echoing through the valley. But there is no grief in its eyes now, only a burning rage. His finger twitches on the trigger, a morbid hunger for another kill from the safety of his covered position. A faint, sickly sweet scent of brimstone fills his nostrils, a sensation like a cold hand reaching out from the shadows seductively urging him on.
With a shriek, the remaining Hippogriff swoops down to attack Zeke and defend its mate. It pecks at the dwarf with its razor sharp beak (Attack: 16 Damage: 10; provoking Krog's readied Longsword attack, with advantage because Billy is flanking) before turning to slash at the the Half-Orc Paladin with its foreclaws (Attack: 22 Damage: 9).
Round 2
Hippogriffs:
H1 - End of Turn
H2 - DEAD
Players (in any order):
Zeke - Shield of Faith (+2 AC, if he's hit by the hippogriff make a CON save with DC = to half the damage or 10, whichever is higher)
Alistair - Cover (Total cover from above, 3/4 cover/+5 AC from the ground), Guidance
Deeply wounded by the second hippogriff, Zeke takes a deep breath and wipes the sweat from his face. “You may be big and tough but I have the backing of Moradin,” he yells as he presses his luck. His first swing connects with a solid thump, as does the second.
(Sorry, I realize I didn't explain well last night. The Con save was to see if you could maintain concentration on Shield of Faith. The 16 attack didn't beat your AC so you take no damage and since you took no damage you maintain concentration on the spell. I've set your HP back to full.)
(Well I clearly underestimated how much damage this group can dish out in a single round and failed to use flight effectively. End of initiative. Everyone gain 80 XP)
The She-Hippogriff, enraged from seeing her mate felled, swoops down to defend him and is quickly cut down by an onslaught of attacks from our intrepid heros.
“Dang, guys. Nice going. Anyone know how to cook these things? Or if they keep treasure in a nest nearby? I have no idea about these animals.” Nature: Nat 1 -1=0 (wow, Zeke is *really* clueless 😂)

I always support GMs when they make this sort of decision. 😂 Thanks!
Billy drops his crossbow with a start as the new bird horse lands in front of him.
"Don't worry guys I have a plan. GET HER!"
He draws out his axe and dagger and attacks.
Battle axe attack w/ adv.=18 Damage = 5 (I don't think I get sneak attack damage because that is not a finesse weapon.)
Dagger attack w/ adv.= 22 Damage = 4 + 6 =10 (But the dagger is.)
Brockes moves in to G6 and with a roar swings his greataxe.
