Baldri grew up in a mining town 20 miles from the City. He was always interested in the religious life, but after the cataclysm he became more and more drawn to the mystery of the changes brought about by the delerium. He is aware of extended family members living in the city that have been cursed by delerium poisoning. His goal is to figure out a way to cure the effects of the delerium. He is also not especially bright, although he is very good-hearted.
@Beard: A warning ahead of time for Mondays? It'd be every Monday but as a group we can all decide what time 12-4 we'd use. If we'd use the whole 4 hours every week or limit it to 2 hours a week.
I just meant if I knew that we were going to be tied up from 1 to 3 that Monday, I would know not to schedule a meeting at that time. Monday afternoons are usually pretty light on meetings for me.
Willing to recruit 1-2 more! The time for the session is decided and the first session is this Monday! * 1-3pm CST * 2-4pm EST * 12-2pm MST * 11am-1pm PST
Here are the session times (2 hour session) For those looking in!
Cedric Ravenclaw, a half-elf bard, emerged into the world beneath the crumbling spires of Drakkenheim, a city tainted by curses and shadowy tales. Born to Lyra, an elven performer, and Thorne, a human adventurer, Cedric's existence was shaped by the enigmatic aura of the city. Growing up amidst the ruins, Cedric's youth was an unconventional mix of elven grace and human audacity. The haunting stories of Drakkenheim's past, shared by his ailing father Thorne, fueled Cedric's yearning for the thrill of exploration and adventure amidst the fractured city. Cedric's artistic talents blossomed amidst the chaos of Drakkenheim. He found beauty in the decay, and his chaotic good nature reveled in the challenge of navigating the city's treacherous shadows. Music and mischief became his companions, each echoing through the broken corridors and abandoned districts. One daring heist changed Cedric's perspective. An innocent was wrongly accused due to his actions, but Cedric saw it not as a burden but as a valuable lesson—to thrive in Drakkenheim, one must master the art of evading capture. The incident became a catalyst for Cedric's ambition to become the greatest thief, using every trick to outsmart both the law and the supernatural forces at play. Embracing his chaotic tendencies, Cedric gathered a fellowship of misfits. Bound by their shared dreams and a desire to exploit the city's weaknesses, the group navigated the twisted alleys, forging alliances and rivalries in equal measure. Loyalty to his companions surpassed any fleeting alliances with the fractured society of Drakkenheim. At the age of 20, Cedric Ravenclaw's quest is twofold—to master the art of thievery in the cursed city and to lay his hands on the coveted delirium. He sees delirium not just as a commodity but as the key to infamy and wealth. Cedric aims to venture into the depths of Drakkenheim, retrieve the precious substance, and sell it to the highest bidder, all while evading the ever-watchful eyes of both law and supernatural entities. In his eyes, the imprisoned innocent serves as a reminder: getting caught is not an option in the pursuit of becoming the world's greatest thief.
Sorry Burningkings due to the time constraints and agreed session per week. You had stated school wouldn't allow for that so I won't be able to accept you but good luck on finding another one!
For other applicants that can here are some personal quest one can use as a reminder!
Apocalyptic Vision. I have been haunted by visions of the meteor for fifteen years. Every time I sleep, I see it crashing down upon me. My personal quest is to see for myself what lies at the heart of the crater. I must overcome whatever I find there in order to stop these nightmares.
Arcane Secrets. Forbidden lore lies in Drakkenheim. Several dark wizards living in the ruins have mastered terrible and powerful new magic. The Inscrutable Tower library stands unguarded, filled with spellbooks containing secret arcana. My personal quest is to learn these spells.
Blighted Landscape. A blight on the natural order envelops Drakkenheim, but the contamination could spread beyond the city. My personal quest is to study the unnatural phenomena found within the most corrupt places in the city: Queen’s Park Garden, the underground waterways, and the Crater’s Edge. Perhaps then I can develop a way to reverse the contamination.
Claim the Throne. Though my family has fallen on hard times, we were distantly related to the royal House von Kessel. I may have a claim to the throne of Drakkenheim. My personal quest is to search the cathedral, noble estates, and the castle for sufficient evidence to conclusively prove my inheritance. Then I will take the crown for myself.
Faction Aspirant. I believe strongly in the ideals and goals of one of the five factions: either the Amethyst Academy, the Followers of the Falling Fire, the Hooded Lanterns, the Knights of the Silver Order, or the Queen’s Men. My personal quest is to join the faction, aid their mission, climb the ranks, and rise to a high leadership position within their organization.
Family Matter. One of my family members or close friends has become mixed up with one of the factions. Perhaps they have foolishly decided to join the organization. Alternatively, they’ve been taken prisoner by the faction due to some trespass or misunderstanding. Either way, my personal quest is to bring them back home.
Find a Cure. I have a friend, family member, or loved one who was contaminated by delerium and turned into a monster. They have gone mad, and are lost somewhere in Drakkenheim. My personal quest is to locate them, then discover a way to reverse their horrific transformation.
Lost Heirloom. I used to live in Drakkenheim. My personal quest is to recover a lost heirloom from my old home, which was located somewhere in the Inner City. Perhaps the item is sentimental, valuable only to members of my family. Alternatively it may have magical properties, and I wish to use these powers to aid my own ambitions.
Monster Slayer. I wish to leave behind a heroic legacy by defeating dread beasts. My personal quest is to slay three of the greatest monsters rumoured to dwell in Drakkenheim, and bring back their heads as trophies. Each must be a notable creature with a challenge rating greater than my own level when I defeat them. My allies can assist me, but I must strike the decisive blow myself!
Overwhelming Debt. I owe a tremendous debt of 10,000 gold pieces, maybe more. My personal quest is to pay it back by making a fortune in Drakkenheim collecting delerium, plunder, and completing work-for-hire. Meanwhile, I must hide from bounty hunters my creditor send to kill me.
Personal Pilgrimage. As an acolyte of the faith, my personal quest is to visit several holy places in the city and perform a sacred ritual before the remains of the martyrs interred within each: the Cathedral of Saint Vitruvio, Saint Selina’s Monastery, and the Chapel in Castle Drakken. Through these devoted acts I will understand my place in the divine order.
Score to Settle. I have come to Drakkenheim to kill one of the faction leader. Perhaps I seek revenge for a past wrong. Alternatively, I may covet their position and wish to replace them. Either way, my personal quest is to slay them.
Hello. Is this still open. If so I would like to join.
Name: Gregory burning
Class: sorcerer draconian bloodline
Race: fire genasi
Backstory: I used to be a gladiator. I was born under the arena. My father was hard on me because of my being different. People mistook me for a teifling because of my fiery skin. I love fire, feeling inside of it as most do water. During my first battle in the arena fire over took me and I burned alive the first opponent and sent the others fleeing in fear. This made me popular as a fighter even though I was never tough or strong. But I felt wrong fighting, especially people who were weaker then me. One day a friend I had made was killed in the arena, I finally snapped and killed all my opponents. The next day I murdered my guards, killed the person who controlled the ring and stole some gear to leave. I found an orange Cloak and wizard hat among his items. So wearing the gear I found I joined an adventuring party. So this I why I head to drakkenheim, to escape judgment and find a new life.
Times: I am fine with the times. I think my times during those would be 10-12.

Doctor Horatio Henry James is an Arcane Natural Philosopher - one who studies the intersection of medicine, arcana, herblore, and alchemy(with a little eldritch tinkering to enable his work.) Once a noted apothecary and physician in the far-away land where he grew up, Doc has traveled to Drakkenhein to study the Blighted Landscape at the invitation of the Amethyst Academy. Doc is a heavy-set humanoid with broad shoulders wearing a tweed hat and spectacles. His shirt is somewhat rumpled from travel but was once pressed and his heavy oilcloth long coat does little to conceal the tweed jacket with leather elbow patches underneath. A sturdy pistol belt holds a small book-box on one hip and an oversized revolver* on the other. A battered leather doctor’s bag is secured to his shoulder with a bandolier that once held massive revolver shells but now contains metal potion vials labeled with arcane runes- some glow slightly. A scruffy owl sits on his shoulder.
Available Weekly at the times specified
*Revolver is for flavor, omit if not a part of your setting. Doc's magic would be flavored as mundane alchemy and/or minor magical effects*

Background: in a small village a far distance from capital, three drifters rolled into town looking for shelter on thier journey. Khabibulin didn't like the looks of them, though that true for most and said no, but his sister Dalphia vouched for them and convinced there mother to let them stay. Khabibulin made most his living in the darkness of night so when he left to go to work that evening all seemed fine. This wasn't the first time his younger sibling brought home strays, and Khabibulin didn't trust a one.
When he returned in the early morning, the three strangers were gone, and so was his sister. He found his mother in a puddle of blood on the floor in his sister's room. She was alright and claimed she simply feel over the shock of learning of his sister's disappearance. His mother was a heavy drinker and not suprised to hear her say she didn't remember much of the conversation with the strangers, they were headed to Drakkenheim, to join or meet up with some group. Khabibulin moved his mother closer into town with a family friend who coukd look after her and her habits and Khabibulin set off after them, unknowing the fate of his sister.
I can be flexible when available for posting, however the time is during work hours that might hinder my availability some Mondays but I should be able to make it work. I'm currently active daily, just finishing up one campaign (which will open up a slot for me to create Khabibulin and will send a link if chosen).
If there is already a Rogue in the party, I was debating between this character or a fighter I've been wanting to try out with a similar backstory tie in and can submit if interested in hearing that's one. Also what method do you prefer for stats?
Chaplain rock thank you for the defined goal of Blighted Landscape and thank you Beard! I think I said so before but just in case Point Buy for stats ^^
