Azzad observes the wilderness around the group as they proceed, but is partially distracted from their course by his curious new travelling companions. His eyes dart between them, particularly interested in the contraption on "The Raven's" belt.
"So, Raven. Would you care to show us what that strange looking device of yours is for? Is it a magic catalyst of some kind?"
You all notice a horde of footprints taking the trail to the left, while the trail to the right is completely untouched. The trail to the right is sparse and dusty, with the exception of an outcropping of small trees and brush along the left side, about 50 yards down the trail.
Azzad
While everyone sees the footprints on the trail, you see something suspicious off the trail. It looks like there were are a number of foot prints leaving the trail and leading toward the outcropping of trees. It appears that there was an attempt to cover up the tracks, possibly by dragging large tree branches or leaves behind them. You are the only one that seems to notice. Your concentration is broken by The Raven's voice; "Well, it's something I've been spending my life workin' on. It's no magic, but it might as well be. Maybe one day you will see it in action, hopefully not on the wrong end, if ya know what I mean."
"Well that ain't vague and mysterious. I'll take your word for it," says Chester. "Now, I see a ton of footprints going left, so unless somebody else sees somethin' I don't, I say we go that way." He looks around to see if anybody found anything else.
Addressing Raven ”It is magic, but isn’t magic? You make little sense mage.” Addressing Azzad - “I do not like the idea of foes possibly trying to hide from us. I say we seek these tracks out further.”
”I am not the so sneaky being so big, I will leave it to the rest of you. Should you run into trouble holler and I will come in swinging.” Zannan would like to move towards the area Azzad talks about but hangs back where he won’t be heard and waits for notification from his other companions.
Chester leads the way to check out the tree cluster, trying to ignore the elf behind him stepping on every single branch on the ground. (Dude nat 1s suck) He tries to see anything out of the ordinary.
You follow the tracks slowly, approaching ever closer to the outcropping of trees. You remain silent as you enter the trees. As you pause for a moment a refreshing breeze blows through, as you enjoy the cooling air you look and listen for any sign of the bandits. It's extremely peaceful, and the shade is a relief to your sun worn skin. After a few moments you decide that whoever left the tracks must have traveled further on, you pick your feet up to move again, when you hear a sound from behind your group. Lyn lets out a giant, booming sneeze. The breeze must have carried some pollen and inflamed Lyn's allergies. You look back in shock, knowing that your cover has been blown, just in time to see a dark form rise from the shrubs next to Lyn with a spear aimed at his chest. As you look at Lyn in horror, you hear the shrubs behind you rustle as 4 more forms rise up. You are completely surrounded.
You see that they all have similar armor, perhaps some sort of uniform. They have matching spears and all have a matching emblem on their shield.
They make slight jabbing motions at you, until one of them speaks up; "Aye, we can do this the easy way, or the hard way. Give us all ya' got an' turn around, er pay with yer lives."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Zannan hears this and has no time for bandits. He immediately rushes forward and swipes his Great sword at the bandit who spoke. “IT WILL BE YOU WHO PAY COWARDS!!”

Chester sort of knows what to do, but forests aren't really his forte.

Zannan feels at a loss also.

Chester flips a coin, then says, “I say we go left, unless anybody found something?" He really hopes someone found something.
After Azzad says this, Chester stops and looks curiously at the Raven as well, interested in what that object is.

Azzad is puzzled by the response from The Raven but says nothing more. Instead, he gestures to the left side of the path.
"Tracks there, málo. Whoever left them tried to sweep them away, but they were sloppy. Perhaps we should investigate?"
Addressing Raven ”It is magic, but isn’t magic? You make little sense mage.” Addressing Azzad - “I do not like the idea of foes possibly trying to hide from us. I say we seek these tracks out further.”
Lyn'daran just nods and looks to the left path.

Chester looks excited, and says, "Should we sneak up on whoever's tryin' ta hide?" If everyone agrees, Chester will go stealth.

"I will join you, halfling. Let us see what our enemies have in store for us before we strike."
Azzad will move to follow the tracks that veer off into the forest, following Chester and whoever else happens to accompany them ahead to scout.
The wood elf will follow as quietly as possible.

Edit: C'mon!! what's the matter with you little elf? XD

Zannan also swings his great sword off his back in preparation of a hostile encounter, giving it short graceful practice swings.
