Crispy watched the match with a smile, when it was over she clapped briefly for them both. While not a huge hulking muscular behemoth, Crispy was in amazing shape, like a fitness model, much stronger than most human women, and could hold her own again most human men. The military had made her tough, lean, and dangerous. But she was more finesse than brute strength and Borg and Brazzak were quite large, and no match for Crispy, not to mention them being Half-orc and Dragonborn.
"Nice job there, muscles." Crispy slaps Borg's shoulder. "I think you made him sweat for that win."
"It's the one thing I'm good at, mister. Can't sing. Can't cast spells. Can't think faster than a Tortle can walk. But I can carry a bale on each shoulder and swing a seven foot sword faster than most can dodge."
"Just not my day today, i'm more experienced on the battle field than I am any where else chick, hopefully you will get to see that soon." Borg says in reply to Crispy. "I'm better with my shield, as you might see when I have figured out my footwork, one thing the captain always told me. work on your footwork, watch out for your companions, they are your life." Borg says with a tone of respect and admiration, she downs what is left in her tankard.

"I believe you." Crispy says to Borg. "I usually feel that way, too. We all have our strengths and weaknesses. I feel like i'm only good at a few things, myself, thanks to the Academy. My whole life has been a mess. But I guess that's what the Hells has in store for me. Still. I would fight by your side. I can count on one hand how many times something good has happened to me in my life. One day i'll get it all fixed again." She empties her glass, enjoying the company of Borg and Kithre.
"I should be happy. I should focus on the little things in life." She says finally. "Like, meeting you. Or calling Kithre over just to chat because she seems fun. Or discovering Holly tonight, and maybe getting to know her better. And Hells knows i've made bad choices..bad things seem to follow me around."
"Well, we are team mates now Chick, and they will have to go through me, to get anywhere near you and i'm a tough person to get past." Borg smiles. "Another before we have to look for a job posting tomorrow? May be the last one we can get whilst we are out on the job." Borg looks to Jaylin. "Hey, let the big guy be, the reason we are in teams is to cover our individual weaknesses, he is here to be in the front line, not to talk or sneak into places."
Borg is right. But..what about my demons on the inside. I can take the physical punishment. But the scars inside..
”Sure, one more.” she says to Borg. Crispy waits one moment or two to wave Holly over when she is not too busy. “Plus I get to talk to Holly aggaaiinnn.” she sings saucily.
The drunk speaking with the ladies sways a little. "Yeah, I wanna know what people are drinking, man... I'm tryin' to be a drink connoisseur." He says before a bit of trickery cools his nether region and a whispering voice comes into his ear. "Woah, did you... did you hear that... I gotta go to the bathroom." He says, swaying off towards the gents.
The ladies aren't particularly bothered in the meantime while they are drinking and having some feats of strength with their dragonborn friend, as the evening continues with a pleasant modicum of alcohol and cheer. Holly will continue to provide drinks to people as long as they are paying and don't collapse.
Around the Card Table:
As the following hands are played, Johann ups his bet after being goaded by the halfling. Warren seemingly manages to slip a couple of cards up his sleeve to keep them for the round. He had a bum hand, but with some subtle swapping it becomes a winning hand. As he plays his hand, the halfling raises his hand. "Before you play your hand, I think there is something our gents should know about. Looks like our new players are attempting to pull the wool over our eyes." As he speaks, a spectral hand appears beside Warren's arm, and subtly pulls the placed cards out. The others look on in disgust. "Looks like we've got some bent players in our midst." He says. "I advise you leave the table now and come back when you want to play properly, kid."
The rest of the people at the table seem very disappointed that someone would try and cheat them at their table. You suppose that Holly's warning about them being serious players was correct.
Chetin sighs as he waited in silence. The old man hadn't shown up for an hour so he decided to leave. Once he cleaned up the preparations he had done, he locked up the house like he was told and left. Although a bit worried for his old friend, he had to head back to the dorms for the team dinner he said he would attend.
(Sorry, your last post got lost in the millions of messages about 4 pages ago. I'll pop a note for that retroactively)
Chetin looks around Phillip's house. It looks like he's still around, but out in the meantime. It wouldn't be uncommon for the dwarf to be away for several days at a time. Perhaps he isn't back yet.
The evening continues with more happy drinking and group bonding. Unfortunately Warren is booted from the game table for being a cheater, forfeiting his money. He'll have a chance to win it back another night if he doesn't try and cheat again under their keen eyes.
(So moving on to the following day...)
2nd Day of Summer, Year 1
Each person wakes up with a varying level of hangover from the previous night. It looks like it's mid morning, you seem to have slept in a bit. Headed down to the common room, it looks like some of the other groups have already gone out for the day, while a couple of others are chatting together. One thing that is noted is that the noticeboard has several posts on it now, where it was blank beforehand.

The dragonborn wakes before sunrise, his farmboy life and service in the army training him to do so. Regardless of last night's drinking, he goes out for a short run and then a full calisthenics routine. He then makes it to the Mess for breakfast service.
As the Azure Claws gather to begin discussion missions:
"Them poor folks. Wolves can really cause trouble 'round a farm."
Jaylin walks over and simply slams his hand onto the table and looks right at Brazzak "come on let's see you try that again"
