Shadow draws his veterans blades and reverses his grip, diving forward with a flurry of non-lethal attacks.

Shadow makes several swings at the merchant. However, the merchant ducks and weaves avoiding most of his attacks. However, he is caught off guard by the last attack, which cuts into merchant's side.

Sacred Flame Damage: 7+1 = 8 radiant Save DEX DC 14 for no damage
Shadow takes the first blow and rolls away from the second, allowing the Merchant's momentum to continue as Shadows scimitars flash in a brutal pattern.

After seeing the merchant make yet another set of blows against Shadow Screechirk descends to be right next to him. "Enough is enough!" he shouts while presenting his amulet with the lyre of Milil. Radiant flames spread from him.
Action: Channel Divinity (Radiance of the Dawn) Damage: 9+6+5 = 20 radiant damage Save DC CON 14 for half damage //only harms hostile creatures, so Shadow should be fine
Shadow proclaims loudly "Guards! I have been the victim of a crime! Please send medical assistance immediately!" Shadow spits blood on the ground and frowns speaking softly, "Pity. He might have known something useful." then cleans and sheathes his weapons, then settles in for a short rest as he tends his wounds and waits for the authorities to arrive. OOC 3 hit die=22hp recovered, back to full
He looks to the crowd, seeking any sign of law enforcement or other authority and proclaims loudly "Who are these people? Someone must know the merchant and their family.- Speak up!" He asks, indicating the merchant and the merchant's original target.

He then tries to dodge Leif's eldritch blast but is then caught on the shoulder. He stumbles as he recovers from the force.
In his attempt to recover from the blast, he misses sight of Shadow's first blow and he is struck around the head for his efforts.
Ears ringing from the blow, the merchant manages to dodge Shadow's second strike but forgets about the off-hand weapon as that strikes him too.
He spits some blood onto the ground, before lunging at Shadow with both fists.
