This chamber occupies the northern tower of the castle. A stone altar stands in the middle of the room, covered with bloodstained black cloth. Golden ritual implements-a chalice, a knife, and a censer-are carefully arranged on top of the altar. Two archways to the south are covered with heavy curtains.
You find Lhupo's stash: a chalice (150 gp), an ornate knife (60 gp), and censer (120 gp)
You hear a commotion in the room that's two rooms from the chapel. It sounds like six hobgoblin(s) torturing an owlbear in a cage. Everyone can sneak up on them and get a surprise round.
The upper floors of this tower have collapsed to create a hollow silo at least thirty feet high, and the upper reaches of the room are lost in shadows. Dust, rubble, and broken glass cover the floor, and old worktables and bookshelves lie strewn to the south. ln the middle of the room is a hulking beast that looks like a mangy bear with an owl's head. Surrounding the bear looking owl are hobgoblins.
Wilhorn will use 1d8 warlock and 1d6 sorcerer hit die to regain his missing hit points. 28/28. He has 3 potions of healing and 3 Goodberries unused. If anyone doesn’t wish to use hit dice at the end of this short rest, he’s willing to share what he has.
If at all possible, he will cast Bless on Daewen, Jyin, and Vex before the surprise round. If not, that could be his surprise round action. (Or Jyin could talk him out of it, if he wishes to be the caster of Bless. There’s really nothing better that Wilhorn would use his concentration on, though.)
Daewen hate torture. It’s standard operating procedure for her realm, but she never appreciated it, preferring the more subtle arts of persuasion….at the tip of a blade. She successfully sneaks into the room, and with a sound no louder than a butterfly, whirls around attacking multiple hobgoblins-
Vex signals Dorah to worm her way into the room and attack H4. Dorah moves in between the legs of Vex's companions and breathes on the bolt as it passes over her head then attempting to sink her teeth into the the hobgoblin.
Hand-Crossbow vs H4: To hit 30 (crit) Piercing Damage: 13 Infused Strike: (4+3) 7 (not sure if this gets rolled twice as well for the crit as the damage is coming from Dorah and not generated from me).
Dorah bite vs H4: To hit: 12 Piercing Damage: 7
